Prosperity Soaring - a review by Rosemary Kenny
Daughter of hippies (sadly deceased in an RTA), a little too fond of the 'demon drink' and with a romantic dilemma that seems to get more complicated with each novel, in David F Berens and Cherie Mitchell's clever novel Prosperity Soaring, (that has a sub-title so long I couldn't fit it in my browser bar!) I wonder with all the other issues in her life - her irritating, endearing, absence-makes-the-heart-grow-fonder, pot tour leader on the mainland - Uncle Bo has come to stay - that she's not even more distracted from her job, as a forensic expert with the Martha's Vineyard PD.
The latest case is the murder of a popular local 'character' who's been found shot dead on board the passenger ferry returning from a visit to his 'girlfriend', (who's a free spirit to say the least), despite neither being in the first flush of youth. As usual Prosperity's involved in the investigation along with the police detective in charge (one of her beaux) and ends up getting answers, but also a soupcon of danger before the killer is unmasked and hauled away to pay for his crimes.
A great series, The Prosperity Spartanburg Files, of which Prosperity Soaring is #3, Cherie Mitchell and David Berens make a great pairing of authors.
Definitely one for your crime/thriller/romance bookshelves and a 5 star rating from me!

"A Totally Captivating, Entertaining Story"
This is definitely an entertaining, suspenseful mystery which takes place at Martha's Vineyard. There's a shooting on an island ferry. Prosperity and Reuben (Ruby!) work hard to identify the killer of an innocent, very popular and liked man. This is a fun, entertaining story you will not put down. I loved it!

Prosperity and Reuben are once again caught up in a murder on the island.
A beloved member of the community, and a friend of Prosperity and Reuben, with no known enemies is killed on the ferry on the way back to the island. As Prosperity and Reuben work to solve the murder, they find themselves growing closer to each other.
This book was a fun read and I am looking forward to the next book in the series.

Prosperity and Ruben have to solve a murder that is way too personal for each of them. Along with a few secrets coming out in the open and Prosperity's uncle Bo coming to visit, the murder case appears to hit dead end after dead end until an unrelated crime provides the key clue. This latest installment provides a few twists that may or may not have been unforeseen. Hopefully the next episode in the Prosperity Spartanburg series appears in Kindle Unlimited very soon.

Prosperity has found her calling in forensics. It’s enhanced by her deductive reasoning skills working with her police friend. They’re becoming closer as they work together. Looking for more in this series.

Prosperity helps solve the murder of her good friend, a long time island inhabitant. The murderer is revealed near the end. Many false leads keep Prosperity and her partner busy.

Soaring
Love watching these two characters grow and learn their quirks. A quick sense of humor plays a big part of a growing character, Prosperity and Rueben have grown over several books as they are getting to know each other
