Despite its somewhat generic fantasy trapings, I think EarthDawn was quite a good game, though rather ignored when it came out. I thought the world managed to be generic enough to titilate the fantasy geek while and allow universal access, but original enough to encourage a lot of interesting sessions. Character creation was quick and intuitive, and the resolution was a nice throw-back to classic polyhedron die - you needed everything from a D4 to a D20 to play, and that gives uber nerd kudos in my books.

Earthdawn! If Shadowrun was fantasy & cyberpunk, this prequel game was post-apocalyptic fantasy. I had a T'skrang swordsmaster for many years, & have fond memories of the tone this game struck with Lovecraftian horror & heroic adventure. --MK

Not bad, not bad at all. Kind of like a d20 Exalted shoehorned into the framework of 3rd edition Shadowrun. I can get down.
