I highly suggest you read LOST prior to reading any reviews regarding FOUND. The Lost & Found duet should be read in order.

ARC provided in exchange for an honest review.

Oh my lanta. If I could use the praising hands emoji right now, I would, and direct it at Carrie Aarons and her amazing writing skills. FOUND was already sure to be a good book for me, I couldn't wait to read more about Tucker and Charlotte, but I definitely wasn't expecting the differences three years down the road. When I said I wanted character development, I wasn't expecting how great Carrie would be at writing the growth both characters went through as they dealt with the aftereffects of what took place in LOST. I am beyond impressed and I can't stop going on about it!

FOUND closes up the questions left open in LOST, providing a soft cushion to land on after the emotional cliffhanger we were left with. While I found LOST to be extremely unique, FOUND was realistic and you could see the work that went into developing the storyline and the characters. Once again we get a glimpse at Charlotte and Tucker's life before, during, and after LOST took place. The struggles in FOUND are emotional, they're heavy, but are also huge motivators for the characters. I loved the dialogue between Charlotte and Tucker, I loved the dialogue they shared with others around them, and how it all worked together.

LOST and FOUND, though they are two halves of one duet, read very different from one another. LOST took place in one setting, with the characters experiencing different feelings and sharing different perspectives that tied together. FOUND made the characters stand out as individuals for me, both were going through different after affects from their previous experience and had found themselves as very different people. The struggles they face as they find one another again had me so desperate for them, hopeful they could find the motivation and strength to overcome, and I felt the characters' feelings in my soul. I couldn't put it down and I would suggest this duet to anyone and everyone, especially those seeking a romantic, heartbreaking, and beautiful story.

Well now ... talk about an about-face! Not so much for the book, but for me as a reader. This is definitely one of those duets you have to be really careful when you pick up to read. Because the first half, LOST, may leave you really frustrated and wanting to not move forward. DO NOT DO THAT #TRUST

FOUND finds us three years into the future and Charlotte and Tucker have to pick up the pieces of their lives and move forward. I say have to because anyone can see these two are absolutely perfect for each other. And in hindsight, their story is perfect for them as well. I wasn't a big fan of these two people in LOST and at the time, I couldn't understand why Carrie Aarons chose the path she did for these two ... but I do now, and it is perfection!

LOST & FOUND .... how ridiculously appropriate is this?!?!?! so obviously #TitleWIN ... but more than that. It represents the journey that Charlotte and Tucker had to go thru to be the people they became. I was SO frustrated with these two, but they were lost and then they found each other and I was borderline giddy reading FOUND. Three years and time apart is exactly what these two needed to make sense. I can't give you the plot, but I can tell you that this book isn't fluff and it isn't rainbows and gumdrops but it's real. And there is a rainbow, and when you see it, you might shed a tear or two but you will also laugh and you will smile reeeeal big :) #TRUTH

I loved LOST. The whole concept about childhood friends finding a second chance at love through a less than stellar situation was great. So I was looking forward to FOUND. I wanted to know what happened to Tucker and Charlotte, did they truly find their HEA.

Tucker and Charlotte had a lot to work through after Tucker's release from jail. Through flashbacks over the previous three years, we get a glimpse into what their lives were like and their thoughts. The flashback were intertwined with present day as the couple try to navigate through their daily lives. While we got some context to their relationship, it felt like things were a little glossed over to get us to the HEA. Although I wanted them to get that HEA, I felt like they needed to struggle a little more. They really needed to fight for themselves and each other. We got a little of that, but it didn't feel enough.

This was still a great read, I was just hoping for a little more angst and emotion to finish out their story.

Charlotte and Tucker may have reunited in Lost, and even though, despite the circumstances surrounding their reunion, they were able to rediscover the bond that’s always been between them, when Found begins, they’re even more absent in each other’s lives because Tucker had to pay for his crimes. By the time Charlotte and Tucker are able to spend more than two hours a week with one another, three years have gone by and both of them have changed. They may have become husband and wife in that time, but it seems to be on paper only because after Tucker’s released from jail, reacclimating himself to the outside world and finding his place in Charlotte’s world is a lot harder than either of them had expected.

Charlotte and Tucker have lost so much time due to impulsive decisions, a meddling mother, and lack of communication, and without Tucker ridding himself of his negative thoughts about tainting Charlotte’s life, they’re never going to get back on track, which would destroy them in irreparable ways.

Carrie Aarons does a great job of illustrating Tucker’s negative thoughts through the flashbacks in jail and his irrational thoughts and feelings about his place in Charlotte’s life. What Tucker feels is realistically depicted, so while it frustrated me because he didn’t seem to understand how deep Charlotte’s feelings are for him, I also felt wrecked by his torment because that’s how he truly felt about himself and all of the issues he caused the woman he loves.

For half of the story, Tucker is not only lost to Charlotte, but he’s also lost to himself, and until he works through that and understands that his mistakes don’t have to define him regardless of how other people feel about him, he’ll never be able to get back his life with Charlotte…he’ll never find the strength to make the most of his life now that he’s out of jail and with his wife.

I really enjoyed the Captive Heart duet; because readers had both Charlotte and Tucker’s perspectives throughout the story, we’re able to understand why their first relationship began and ended and then witness how they found each other once again only to be torn apart by extenuating circumstances. The one part of Found that I struggled with a bit was how they found their way back to each other. I wanted to see more of their progress…see how they finally learned to communicate with one another and once again found the intimacy that they had lost from being apart. I just didn’t feel like I had a complete view of the steps they took to get back to what was important, especially knowing all of the torment that Tucker was feeling even when he and Charlotte were happy.

I loved witnessing Charlotte go from the careful, quite, and reserved girl to a woman who knows what she wants and isn’t afraid to ask for it. Charlotte had to do a lot of things on her own her entire life, but she was finally able to step out of her shell when the only person she had to depend on was herself.

‘I can’t wait any longer. There has been too much time lost. I want to start living again. And I can only do that with him. Tucker Lynch. My husband.’

Carrie Aarons is a recent find for me and this is the third book of hers I have devoured in as many months. I love her voice and the unique stories she creates. The writing is clean and the plots dynamic. Found has proven that once again she can continually surprise me and give the story I need not the story I expect.

“I love the woman I married. The one from the woods. But this person, right now? I don’t really like her. I’m not thrilled with this version of the person I married.” I look right at him. “I guess that makes two of us then.”

When Found starts we have moved three years since the end of Lost and EVERYTHING HAS CHANGED. Nothing comes easy to Tucker and Charlotte and adjusting to their new reality is no different. While Lost was all about the passion and reconnection of two old lovers in the midst of an action packed and dangerous situation, Found is about what happens when the excitement dies down and we all have to pay for the consequences of our actions. A bit slower paced than its predecessor but that is needed to dig through all the emotional pain and drama that follows these two around.

‘Char is my addiction now.’

Much like Lost, I was riveted from the very beginning and absolutely loved the fact that nothing comes east for these two but instead they both have to put the work in that is necessary for them to find their HEA. It has become abundantly clear that Carrie Aarons is an author not to miss and I for one cannot wait to see what she brings next.

When Lost ended, I was gutted. I have a love/hate relationship with cliffhangers. I hate them because they leave me hanging, I love them because I get more from characters I adore.

And I loved Tucker and Charlotte but this book almost gutted me more!

Guys, I really don't want to spoil this so I am going to keep this to a bare minimum review wise.

First, we are reunited with the wonderful Tucker and Charlotte. Obviously, you know how book one ends, so it's safe to assume you know where Tucker ended up....so here we are, 3 long ass years later. We get more of the present and the past to fill in the blanks on how our young couple did during their time apart.

Second, once they are reunited....it ain't easy people-I get it, life was hard those three years, but GD did I want to punch Tucker in the face. Honestly, I really felt like he was being completely unreasonable and I did not like it one bit!

Third, Charlotte's mother *insert extremely angry face here* Still hate that bitch!

Forth, Tucker's probation officer. God, she was pretty freaking awesome!

And finally, our young couple realizes hey...we are ok....it will be ok....we will get through this. Once that happened, well, I no longer wanted to hurt people.

So, I'm bad at reviews, I sound like a blubbering idiot, but this book and series is too good not to review!!

I was obsessed with LOST! After Carrie sent me the ARC, I read it and instantly wanted FOUND. I had to wait two days. I was dying. I just had to know how Char and Tucker's story ended!!

I wasn't disappointed! This series is amazing, the characters are amazing, and flawed, and perfect. In FOUND Tucker has pretty much lost himself even further and in that pushes Charlotte away. I'm not going to give spoilers or the story away, but I will say that this series is most definitely must read, you'll cry, get frustrated and by the end smile so high!

I found I could relate more to the MC's in this book than the first in the series. The characters went through real life issues, marriage upsets & the story provided some interesting side characters, one being a vile mother-in-law. (She's a real piece of work). There were many adjustments to be made, therapy & wisdom from old friends, but this couple finally made it to where they were suppose to be, happy & content.

I received an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

If you have not read Lost you will want to stop reading. This is not a standalone book! And although I will try my hardest to not give anything away, please go back, read the first book and then read this one. Okay? Okay.

Well this book not only gave me all the answers I wanted, but it also destroyed me and then put me back together. It picks up three years after Lost and we learn what happened after Tucker was arrested. We get the story in present time, but just like the previous book, we get flashbacks (those were some of the most heart wrenching moments) to fill in the missing pieces. I was pleasantly surprised by the way the book opened and the information we are given right away. But by the end of the first chapter I knew that things would get worse before they got better.

What a journey Tucker and Charlotte go on. My heart broke at the end of Lost and I really just wanted everything to work out. They built such a wonderful relationship and to have it ripped away the way it was, was so horrible. But I also knew that they would mostly have a hard road ahead. And I wasn't wrong about that. At first there are more bad moments than good. They are both struggling to get back to their normal and outside forces, as well as their own demons, are making it difficult to completely move on. But they are trying their hardest. Not everything is bad though. There are some very sweet moments that gave me hope that these two would be able to work through their issues and get that happily ever after I desperately wanted for them.
I stop her at a stand on the outskirts of the festival. It’s overflowing with fresh-picked flowers, and I make Char wait outside while I disappear into the tent and grab the biggest bouquet of daisies I can find.

Her face lights up when she sees me, and she stands from the bench I made her wait on.

“Are those for me?!” Her joy is tangible.

“Maybe, but you’ll have to follow me to find out.” I reach my hand out for hers, which she takes, and I lead her out of the festival.

I walk us away from downtown and out where the houses become farther and farther apart. I hang a right, and soon we’re at the edge of Lancaster County Central Park.

“We’re going for a walk in the park?” She’s still guessing.

“You up for a little bit more of a walk?”

There is somewhere I want to take her. Char nods and we keep going, hand in hand, just admiring this beautiful day.

The park is alive with sounds and fragrances. I can’t imagine returning here with anyone but her.

Farther into the park, and I finally spot it.

“Oh, Tucker …” Char gasps quietly and I know I’ve done good.

We walk onto the worn wood planks of the Kurtz Mill Covered Bridge and I stop her once we’re just inside the opening.

“It looks just like the one in Bridges of Madison County.” Char marvels at the construction of the red covered bridge.

“I used to sleep in here sometimes.” I look at her, assessing her reaction.

“Back when you were using?”

“Yeah …it was one of the only free, covered places I could ever think of.”

I walk to her, pressing her against the wall of the bridge and bringing one hand up to her cheek. My other is still occupied with her daisies.

“I want to rewrite all of the bad memories with you. I want to take away all of the pain we’ve had. Not forget it, but replace them with happiness and new traditions. It’s why I wanted to bring you here. It’s why I got you these.”

It was moments like that that showed, despite everything that was going on, they were still the Charlotte and Tucker readers fell in love with.

Epilogues are one of my favorite things about books and the epilogue here? OMG. It was absolutely perfect! I got emotional while reading this book, but the epilogue put me over the edge and I cried...a lot. On their own, these books are good, but put them together and you have a beautiful story of love, loss and finding your way back to the person you are meant to be with.

FOUND is the second book in the Captive Heart series from Author Carrie Aarons. The KBN video review for book one, LOST, can be found (*giggle*) here.

Found begins three years after the story of Lost ends. Our book boyfriend, Tucker, has spent the last three years in prison paying for his crimes and our heroine, Charlotte, has dutifully remained by her man's side awaiting his release.

When Tucker is finally released from prison into Charlotte's awaiting arms, they struggle with adjusting to living together in the outside world. The only time they spent together as adults was in their own little world at Camp Marsh and they quickly find that the real world is a much different place.

welcome-to-the-real-world-o

This book takes you on a roller coaster ride of emotions. You are already invested deeply in to these characters from book one, and every set back they encounter is like a blow to your own heart. The obstacles the world (and one particularly heinous mother) throws at them seem too great to overcome, but when it seems all is lost, the author reminds us that love CAN conquer all.

I do need to give y'all a trigger warning. This book deals with the topic of pregnancy loss. If this is a trigger for you, like it is for me, just giving you a heads up. ;)

While this book is filled with deep emotions you are still treated to some super steamy scenes. I laughed so hard at a certain scene when Charlotte basically pounces Tucker after a night of drinks with her girlfriend, Jackie.

Jackie is a super fun addition to this series. She brings out the fun and happiness in Charlotte and reminds us how important true friends really are.

serena-blair-hug

I give FOUND 5 out of 5 Krissy's Stars!

The very last line in this book is beautiful and absolutely took my breath away. ;)

“Three years is a lifetime. And when you’re dealing in lifetimes… The person you were three years ago is usually nowhere to be found.”

Continuing after the events of the previous book, we will follow the outcome of the story of Tucker and Charlotte and how they will deal with the consequences of their actions. After being captured, Tucker is arrested. Charlotte stays by his side, even though her mother tries to mess up at all costs. When she has an idea to avoid testifying against him in court, their relationship evolves, but the environment he finds himself in and the outcome of the settlement made by his defense eventually create a distance between them.
Three years later, Tucker leaves the jail to find an anxious Charlotte waiting outside. But if both had expectations for this meeting, the reality was not as either expected. This remote period has created a gulf between them, and adjusting to the new reality will not be easy.
Charlotte is happy to finally have him back. But no matter how hard she tries, he would rather be alone than have her around. Tucker can't deal with being a former convict, can't support her, and can't give her the future she deserves.
Like its predecessor, this volume also merges past and present, and with that, we will find that these three years were not easy for either of them. They have suffered quietly, alone, they’re hurt and do not know how to deal with these feelings.
With a more dramatic burden, this part of the story focuses on the human side of the characters, showing how Tucker struggles to reintegrate into society after making a mistake he has paid for, but is still judged for by it, and how Charlotte tries to make her marriage work, while dealing with the pain of a loss that still hurts her, as well as trying to assimilate the new information Tucker shares and the anger he feels toward her.
Their journey is neither beautiful nor easy, much less inspiring. It is real, raw, full of mistakes, pain and loss. But the fact that they love each other is undeniable. Just as this love was the ruin and salvation of both.
A nice ending to a controversial but very well written story.

Found by Carrie Aarons is book two in the Captive Heart Duet. At the heart of this unconventional romance is a second chance love story but Found is more than that. Found is a heartbreaking, emotional journey between two souls trying to reconnect after time and so much loss has happened.

3 years has passed for Charlotte and Tucker but time has not healed these two and as a couple they are further apart now than before they last reconnected. Charlotte isn't the same meek woman we saw but a stronger confident woman who will stick up for herself and who she loves no matter the cost. She loves Tucker with all her heart but can that be enough? Tucker is a broken man, time away has seen to that. Acclimating back into society isn't easy for him and Tucker can't stop thinking about what others must think of him and Charlotte. Is he good enough for the woman he loves? Can these two recapture the love that was found on those cold Pennsylvania nights 3 years ago or is what they had lost for good?

This duet is beyond my wildest expectations. Lost was so original I was itching for the next installment like an addict. Found gutted me. To see these characters we fell so in love with reach rock bottom and grasping at the hope they can find that love they once shared was beautiful but breaking as well. I couldn't and wouldn't put this book down till I finished it. Addictive is an understatement when describing Lost & Found. 5 Stars for Found by Carrie Aarons

Found is book two in the Captive Heart series. It was totally unexpected and very different from the first book. I finished the story in one day. Tucker and Charlotte (Char) are very different people, three years have changed them, transformed them. They struggle with their past, present and future.

"You'd think that after three years of waiting, three years of sitting next to him, unable to touch, I'd be able to wait for another twenty-five more measly minutes. But that's precisely why I can't."

It's now three years after Tucker and Char had been identified. Charlotte has been waiting three years for Tucker. She has spent the last three years moving past her fears, her heartbreak and moving forward with life. Char finds her inner strength, she has a successful new position, she's made a good friend and has remained committed to Tucker.

Tucker has his own struggles. He's lost himself, not able to see past his situation. He doesn't believe he's good enough for Char. It effects their relationship until Char finally takes the reigns but is it enough? Can Tucker forgive himself and move past his insecurities or will he lose everything?

The story moves between the present and the past three years, providing insight into the characters motivations. The author does a tremendous job developing the characters, their struggles, pain and motivations. I love this final book, it was like a totally different story. Two very different flawed people with very different struggles finding their HEA. 5 Stars!

This book blew me away!!! We picked up 3 years later. Tucker was arrested for his crimes and is doing jail time. Charlotte has a new job, friends and life that Tucker sadly is missing because of his incarnation. When Tucker gets released Charlotte has this sweet homecoming in mind and that's the last thing that happens. Their struggles as a couple after Tuckers release were so real and you could feel their pain and heartbreak. Tucker and Charlotte go through several ups and downs as Tucker tries to get used to being back in the world. I loved how the author didn't gloss over his struggles and everything wasn't just sunshine and rainbows! They had to work to for their relationship and I loved it! This book had a lot of highs and lows and some heartbreaking moments. The angst was off the charts and my heart was hurting. I love books that make me feel like a blubbering mess after I read!! This book was my favorite of the two and well done Carrie Aarons.

This book was angsty and I was dying to get the other part of the story after the cliffhanger we got in the last book. I’m glad his consequences weren’t anything drastic where we had to wait several decades, but he also did have to make good with what he did. I felt so bad for char for the way Tucker was treating her over his own insecurities. The ending was what I wanted for them. They were each other’s homes after everything they both endured separately and together.

I loved this follow up to LOST by Carrie Aarons! I loved the way it realistically showed the challenges a couple faces after what Charlotte and Tucker have gone through. It was very easy to relate to their feelings and pains. I feel like this second book flew by as fast as the first.

The explosive finale! Picking up three years after the last book ends, we find out both what happened after the arrest as well as how they are rebuilding once Tucker is out of jail. This book honestly might be my favorite from Carrie that I’ve read thus far. She gives Charlotte the personal growth that she was starting to gain in the first book by taking her life in her own hands, but also seeing her falter in some ways with her relationship to Tucker. I also love that she gave us the flashbacks of Tucker in jail so we were able to see how he handled everything but also where he started feeling guilty and then pushing Charlotte away. The growth both individually but also as a couple between these two characters throughout this book (let alone the entire series) was amazing. I couldn’t put the book down even if I tried and couldn’t get enough of this storyline. Thankfully, we get to read the HEA that both Charlotte and Tucker not only need, but also deserve. This series definitely solidified Carrie being one of my favorite authors hands down. I love her style of writing as well as the unique storylines she provides us as readers.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

The saga continues for Char and Tucker and once again I wish I could give this more than 5 Stars. Past decisions have left Tucker and Char apart for about three years. Both have had up and down feelings and are not sure if their relationship can survive. Once Tucker is released can they find the love that they once shared again? Or will guilt and other negative feelings overcome true love? This book had my emotions in overdrive. There were parts that had me laughing and others that had me crying. But in more than once section I had to yell at my kindle. Carrie Aarons once again created a story that had angst, determination and unrelenting love. I would love to see these characters again years down the road.

This is the conclusion to Charlotte and Tucker's story. Tucker gets out of prison after serving nearly 3 years and he goes back home to Charlotte. Things are all wine and roses when he gets there.

I enjoyed the way Tucker and Charlotte's relationship evolved and I felt it showed a realistic portrayal of the toll that kind of separation could have on a relationship. Things were tied up in a bow a little too neatly by the end, but I still really enjoyed the story.

Aaaand I finished it.

I read both these books in less than 24 hours because the story was juicy, the steamies were swoon-worthy, and the banter was just incredible.

I loved the development of Tuck and Charlotte. Their lives together went through so many changes, from childhood to adulthood. I just loved it so much.

The editing was horrible!! I was invested in the story after finishing the first book I had to finish the second. However, it was very difficult. The first book she worked in a bank, second book it said she was working in a jeweler store. Names were incorrect, calling someone Jamie when the name was Jackie. Words left out of sentences....etc. The storyline was cute and I did like the characters.
