From the moment Cash Walker encounters Layla West, it's clear she's different than any woman he's ever met. Her bright green eyes and strong will have him captivated. She's his. Now he just has to convince her.
After losing her nan, Layla relocates to Hawthorne, Nevada, with her five-year-old daughter and the desire for a fresh start. What she hadn't planned on was a cocky, hot-as-hell biker determined to work his way into her heart.
When danger threatens Layla, Cash will stop at nothing to protect the family he's claimed, even if it means partnering with a club from the past in unexpected ways.
This the story of Layla and Cash, the third book in the Ride Series Second Generation.

This book was awesome and Megan O’Brien seriously delivered with Cash & Layla’s story I was hooked from the start and had to read in one sitting.

Layla and her adopted daughter Riley have moved back to Hawthorne after inheriting her grandmother’s house using it as a new beginning and helps her feel financially stable, life as a single mother hasn’t been easy but she wouldn’t change her life for anything. After being taken under Emmie’s wing she becomes friends with the women of the Knights MC and cannot help but notice Cash Walker. He captures her attention from the start but after a less than enjoyable encounter at the grocery store where Cash assumes she is hitting on him she decides that she should give him a wide berth, with this reputation and Emmie’s warning of him only being a one night kind of man she knows nothing can come of it. But Cash has other ideas especially after it appears that she is in danger. Can Layla really put her trust in Cash or will he let her and her daughter down when they need him the most?

Cash Walker is a member of Knights MC and could have any woman he wants, used to being hit on when he first meets Layla and her daughter Riley at the grocery store and assumes that she is like all the rest only to learn she was asking for his help. From that first encounter he is enamoured by both Layla and Riley but realises that he has ground to make up and when he realises she is determined to keep him at arm’s length knows that he will do anything to make her his. Can Cash prove to Layla that she is more to him than a one hit wonder and he wants them to be a family? Just when it looks like he can really have the life he never thought was possible danger surrounds them and there is nothing that he won’t do to keep them safe!

Just in case you didn’t realise I love love love this series. This book is full of surprises, intrigue and has some pretty emotional moments especially Riley she will steal your heart. Highly recommended, very enjoyable read you should definitely give this author a try you won’t be sorry. Dying with excitement for Emmie and Gunner’s story have been waiting for that since Max. 5**** Read.

After Layla lost her Nan she decided to move to Hawthorne with her 5 year old daughter and start her life over. She met some great friends and knew this was the place for her and Riley. She had a lot on her plate right now and didn't need a man in her life. Especially one like Cash an alpha biker and also according to rumour a one night stand guy.
But she also can't help how she reacts to him and also how he is with her and the fact that he is willing to take not only her but her little girl as well.

His first meeting with Layla was not the best of meetings, but the more he hears about her and spends time with her and her little girl he knows that he will do anything to prove to her that he deserves her and that he will stick around and be the man she needs and wants in her life. But danger is not too far away and also learning about his past might be a bit too much for this biker or will he prove everyone wrong about who he is???

This story was sweet and some parts sad but definitely all biker alpha and some suspense thrown into the mix. I love this authors writing and wish that she would write more books, but i will wait patiently for the next release... Hopefully Gunner's story... Ms Megan O' Brien

Really Enjoyed

Possible Spoilers

I am usually pretty nervous about reading MC books because I am not a big fan of cheating and manwhores but I heard good things about this book so I decided to give it a chance and I am so glad that I did. I really loved this story.
Cash was a great bbf, he was just perfect. Cash was hooked from the moment he laid eyes on Layla. After coming off like a jerk after he makes an assumption about her he can’t stop thinking about her. He knows that he has to get to know her and soon he is determined to make her his. He was so good to Layla and showed his love for her from the very beginning. The way he was with Layla’s daughter Riley melted my heart. He was just too perfect with her, she quickly became his little girl.
Layla was a sweet and caring woman doing everything she could to raise her daughter by herself, mourn the death of her grandmother and settle in to a new town. She was overwhelmed and all by herself with no other family. She was a selfless woman trying to do her best for her daughter. She was reluctant to let Cash in but he did everything he could to win her over and prove to her she was her forever. Their bond definitely grew leaps and bounds by a threat to Layla that had Cash moving in to protect her. Their chemistry was undeniable and something Layla couldn’t hide from. I really loved these two together, they were a perfect fit. I am definitely going to go back and start reading the original series and I am looking forward to Gunner and Emmie’s story.

Safety and Spoilers
Safe. There is no real ow drama, a group of gym bunnies irritate Layla before she really knows Cash. No om drama in the romantic sense but Layla is attacked by members of another MC and there is a local lawyer who is skulking around. H had ONS but more often than not he preferred to be with his brothers or by himself, h has been celibate for a while. h is attacked at a gas station and chocked to the point of leaving bruises and she is kidnapped at the end and drugged. No sexual abuse.

Loved it! Loved it! Loved it!

Megan O'Brien has not disappointed with the 3rd book in the Ride series.

The first time Cash meet Layla he thought she was hitting on him! All Layla wanted was someone to help her and Riley her brothers daughter who she had adopted across a darkened parking lot - Cash thought Layla was hitting on him and the two parted ways with not the best of impressions!

The second time they meet Cash knew that Layla and Riley were going to be his and nothing was going to stand in his way not even Layla!

Layla has just moved to town and into the house that her Nan left her after she died. She is mom to 5 year old Riley who is her main priority but when the Knights MC women take you under your wing you just go with the flow and it was great for the first time to have others to help! But she didn't have time for love and she definitely didn't have time for a 6'4 Viking named Cash Walker!

But what Cash wants Cash gets, Riley already loves him and when he persuades Layla to take a chance on him and become the family he never had expected in the military and with the MC ,life should be good but darkness is waiting in the wings to snatch everything away.

Welp- once again I have to thank the author for not letting sex overrule the story. Hats off to you! I love a story in my books. ;)

I quite enjoyed this tale of Layla, Riley, and Cash. And! I truly appreciate that the plot device of using a child wasn’t wasted. Riley is very much a part of this story from start to finish, and I just loved this little family.

There were some great feel good moments I loved, and I enjoyed the surprise twist. I also enjoyed the dynamics of this club and their women.

One thing I have to say about this author- she can make some good alpha men without making them bumbling idiots that are over the top. I appreciate her good storylines, the lack of clubwhores, not too much sex, and even the cussing wasn’t over kill. Who needs all of that to make some great men, women, and families in MC romance? It’s not always necessary to prove how bada$$ they can be.

I loved Cash and how he knew what he wanted and went for it. I liked how he and Layla didn’t play any games and I loved the family they created.

I’ve read every Ride and Second Generation story so far, and now I can’t wait to get my hands on Gunner and Emmie’s book... but I’m totally putting the cart before the horse bc this book needs to release first! Lol.

Layla West relocates to Hawthorne, Nevada with her five year old daughter after losing her Nan. Layla is ready for a fresh start and she quickly becomes immersed in her new life. She meets Cash Walker and decides quickly that he is a jerk and player after a brief moment. Cash though misinterpreted the situation and when he tries to rectify it, he is shot down. Cash though knows that there is something special about Layla and he wants to be the man who is by her and her daughters side. Now he just needs to convince Layla he is worth the chance but there is an unexpected threat heading Layla's way and she is going to have to rely on Cash to get through it.

Wonderful story, had it sitting on my tbr for awhile and not sure why I didn't pick it up sooner. I think so far this is my favorite in the series. Cash is intense and he completely head over heels for Layla. Layla is a bit gun shy at first but when she decides to go all in with Cash. Terrific read.

I want to start out by saying, Megan O'Brien is a new author to me so I have not read any of the other books in The Rider series. That being said, I absolutely LOVED Cash! This book was full of heat and suspense that I could not get enough. Cash combined two of my favorite troupes, single parent and MC and did it perfectly. Cash Walker stole my heart with how hard he loved, not only Layla, but her daughter, Riley. I highly recommend this book and I plan on going back and reading all the other books before this one, just because I loved this one so much, not because I felt like I was missing anything by jumping in with Cash.

Can’t get enough of Megan’s writing and this series! Inheriting her grandmother’s house after her death, Layla relocates to Hawthorne for a new start for her and her daughter. Life as a single mother isn’t easy, and with the inheritance, Layla decides it’s a better move for both of them. After settling in and establishing a routine while making friends with some of the women part of the MC family, she runs into Cash and immediately sparks feelings. At first, not wanting to get involved with the baggage that goes along with a single mother, after hearing about Layla he has a change of heart and determines that she’s the one for him. Hearing of Cash’s past and antics, Layla decides that although she’s attracted to him, nothing can come of it because she’s not a one-night girl. Not willing to back down from a challenge, Cash is more determined than ever to win Layla over, and after a danger threatens Layla and her daughter, it gives Cash the chance to do just that. With some surprise twists along the way with trials and tribulations, Cash and Layla develop a strong relationship with strong feelings. Much like the others in this series, I can’t get enough from Megan with this series! I love that she continued the stories through the next generation, and I can’t wait for Gunner’s story next!

I can’t believe I forgot how much I love Megan O’Brien’s writing! I adored her first MC series and now I can safely say the second gen may be even better than the first! Cash’s story is all kinds of perfect. Loaded with everything any MC romance lover loves. Bad@#$ bikers, steamy swoon, strong ladies, tight knit families and plenty of action.
I freaking loved Cash. At first coming off as arrogant and aloof, he quickly shows the real side of him when it comes to Layla. And then he’s a down right teddy bear when it comes to Layla’s adorable little girl. Talk about swoon. I swear my ovaries exploded multiple times because of how perfect he was with his girls. Between him constantly melting my heart and how strong Layla is I was in heaven reading their story!

The H was referred to as a good guy who only did one night stands but was not a manwhore. The h was celibate for a while, she adopted her niece. No ow/om drama. I really enjoyed both mc's, loved seeing all of the others. Looking forward to the next book.

Some series you stick with because you’ve stuck with them so long. That’s the case with this biker-ultra lite series. This wasn’t my favored one (Cal) but was glad to read it nonetheless.

Layla moves to Hawthorne, Nevada when her Nan leaves her her house in her will. With her daughter Riley, and taken under the wing of Emmie; her Nan's carer and a daughter of the Knights MC, Layla soon feels like she can really make a new life for herself and Riley. That feeling is just enforced when she sees club brother, Cash, and she is smitten. Their first encounter doesn't go too well though and he ends up coming across as a real ****. Once he realises his mistake though, Cash is quick to try and rectify his poor first impression and sets out to make Layla, and Riley his. Will she be willing to give him a chance though?

This was so good I could not put it down from the minute I started it until I had read the very last word. I loved the characters, the drama, the bedroom action and all the twists that were thrown in too. And don't even get me started on the story I know is coming next, I hope the wait for that isn't going to be too long. I give Cash 5 stars.

What a read this turned out to be! Layla was left her Nan's house, so she and her daughter moved to Hawthorne to start a new chapter in their lives. During this process she makes friends, gets her daughter into school and starts going to the local gym. She also spots Cash Walker, and while she finds him attractive, her new friends have informed her he is not open to more than one night. So she does her best to stay away from him... that is until she somehow gets on Cash's radar and he makes a point to let her know that he wants something more. Can a leopard change his spots? Will Layla be open to letting Cash into her and Ry's life? And when danger starts to pursue Layla, can Cash keep her safe?

This was a really good, faced paced read. I do feel that the writing was a bit different from the first gen books. These second gen books while super good, seem to be missing something that the first series had. I do love Megan O'Brien, maybe its just that I wanted more? Anyways, with some drama, a hot naughty time or two, danger, and some really cute moments, I give this 4.5 stars.

I’m not sure how I missed that Megan O’Brien had a new generation of the Ride Series. I’ve read all the Ride books, so I’m sad I missed the first two books in this series.

Layla is a single mom to adorable 5 year old Riley. She moves to Hawthorne, Nevada, after her nan passes away and she is left her house. After moving in, she quickly catches a glimpse of Cash Walker, a member of a local biker club. Her first encounter with Cash proves him to be a bit of a dick, but the truth is very different.

Cash thought that Layla was hitting on him, but she was really asking for an escort to her car because she felt unsafe. He was kind of a dick to her. Once he realized what the truth was, that was the end of his rudeness. He looked to Layla for who and what she was and he was done.

Cash is such a great guy. He decided he wanted Layla and Riley and there was no stopping him from getting what he wanted. Layla was an incredibly strong character. Layla was a very protective mom of adorable Riley. And Riley, she was incredibly adorable.

I am very interested to read the first two books in this series. I’m sad that I missed them, but I will read them. I’m a huge fan of these books and will continue to read more.

I would recommend this book.

Cash by Megan O'Brien is book Three in The Ride Series Second Generation Series. This is the story of
Layla West and Cash Walker. I haven't yet read the previous books...actually this is the first book I have read from this author. Layla's grandmother died leaving her a inheritance that was a house in Hawthorne, Nevada. So Layla and her 5 year old daughter move there to get a fresh start. Layla starts to make friends which some are ladies a part of the Knights MC bike group. Cash and Layla butt heads from their first meeting but Cash soon learns he made a mistake with Layla. Layla isn't read for Cash who is a one hit wonder and doesn't do relationships but Cash just has to show her that he can be more than what she hears.
Enjoyed this book so much that I want to go back and read the authors from this author. Sorry I am so late in the game with this series...I think I have missed some good reading.

Cash and Layla💕

The next instalment featuring the second generation of our favourite Knights MC is finally here❣️ Layla finds herself relocating, along with her niece...now her daughter, to Hawthorne after her Nan dies and leaves her the family home. During this time, she becomes friends with the women whose men are in the MC and gets the biggest impression from Cash himself, which isn’t the most positive initially.

Cash feels like a heel when he makes an assumption about Layla the first time he meets her. But her eyes capture him and now he will move heaven and earth to keep her and her daughter safe😁

This was a great story with some surprises along the way I wasn’t expecting. Some emotional moments which had me wiping tears away, happy tears, and a hint that Gunnar (and Emmie) is next, which makes me super excited 😆

Must Read!! 5 star +++

I love Megan OBriens writing!! Have read everythings shes written and have never been disappointed. Always writes hot swoony alphas who can at times be alphaholes but are always loyal and love hard! The heroines are always strong and intelligent women which I love. Nothing worse than reading about a pathetic door mat.

Once I started I couldnt stop reading. I loved Cash and how he knew straight away that Layla and Riley were his and that there was no mucking around about whether they were or werent together. The thing I love the most about Megans books is the sense of family and loyalty thats always packed in. The side characters in this Ride Series are amazing and I cannot wait for Gunners book which I've been crossing my fingers for since Maxs book.

Will absolutely re-read this book as I have all the other books in the Series

OMG!!! This second generation of hot as he&& bikers could definitely give the first generation a run for their money...
Layla has come to Hawthorne for a fresh start. She has a beautiful 5 year old daughter named Riley who will keep a smile on your face. She has met some of the MC ladies, and a few of the men since one their own had been taking care of her nan before she passed. Cash is in the MC and when he first lays eyes on Layla he knows there is something special about her. After their initial meeting Cash has his worked cut out for him. Layla isn't going to make it easy, and Cash isn't about to give up. Layla is a sassy young lady who refuses just to be another notch on his bed post.
Follow their journey as they overcome a few obstacles, and find the family they both deserve.

I’ve missed this series and group of characters!

Cash is a quiet man who comes across as just a good time. You can’t expect more from him. Layla is a grieving young woman who has been trying to find her way the past couple of years.

Their paths were inevitable and would always collide. Neither expect the feelings from their first real conversation.

Layla is worried about her broken heart but Cash truly is the one risking to lose his heart completely.

We get our action, suspense, family and romance we have come to love from this group. I’m so excited for the second generation to continue getting their stories!

I loved Cash and Layla’s story in Cash. This story gave me all the feels.

This story just worked for me. I loved where Ms. O’Brien took this story and took me along for the ride. Cash and Layla just worked together. They were perfect for one another and what the other one never knew that they needed. The sexy times were hot, but the love story hit me square in the chest. I enjoyed seeing familiar characters. As usual, Ms. O’Brien’s epilogue was beautiful and was the perfect place to take the story and end it.

Cash, Knights MC, wasn't looking to be tied down but the moment he met Layla and Riley, they swept the big, bad alpha off his feet.

Cash's mother's secret is revealed. How will he handle it?

When Layla's life is put on the line who will serve justice?

Thorn, Black Riders MC, has had problems with the Knights MC in the past. With new information will the two clubs be able to put the past aside?

Love this book! Can't wait for next installment!

Amazing read, finished it in a day. I loved Cash and Layla's story.

- I'm a fan of Alpha male and Cash was every bit of that. I loved his possessive nature and how crazy he was for layla.

- I also liked Riley, Layla's niece which her brother handed her over to (because he was an ass) She was too cute and her relationship with Cash was very sweet. I enjoyed each and every scene of theirs.

- Layla was a little bit of hard to like because of her very limited dialogues and the touch a reader has with the characters but she was okay.

- The only annoying thing about this book was Gracie. I don't even know who is she even after reading the whole book. ( way too many characters and way too many women's). She was really annoying with her over too sweet talks.

A fun quick read!!

I enjoyed Case's story a lot! After reading Maddox, I was nervous about continuing but I was pleasantly surprised. While Cash does come off as super controlling he's also super loving and really cares for Layla and Riley, which I can respect. As a fan of SOA, I know that over protective male protagonists come with the territory in biker stories. It just all seemed to really work and fit together nicely.

I'm also a fan of a good character whump scene so I totally kept expecting something to happen to Cash. Overall, excellent story, loved Layla, and loved the interaction with the other women of the series.
