Can love find its way through life's most troubled moments?

When Amelia is given the chance of a lifetime to work at Styles, a successful fashion design house in London, she is immediately smitten with her boss, Vogue. Though there's an obvious attraction between the two women, Amelia questions whether it's real or all in her head. A fantasy that can never become a reality. After all, Vogue is rich, talented and beautiful, and can have any woman she wants.

Unknown to Amelia, Vogue is hiding behind a façade. Bereft after her best friend betrays her, Vogue is torn between the life she thought she knew and the reality she now faces, as the threat of losing her business looms over her.

Both women have to decide whether to put their hearts on the line and risk opening themselves up to the unknown. If they don't, they risk losing so much more.

Maybe 2.5 stars, really

Eons back there was a concept of pocket books. Simple but forgettable stories meant to appeal to the largest number of people. This is something that belongs to that genre. (There should be a term for this.)

I’m a big fan of Jade Winters, and this latest book did not disappoint. I loved this book! Wonderful characters and a good plot made it quite a page-turner. Three hot leading ladies make it even more enjoyable. What’s not to like?
I was given an advance review copy by the author in exchange for an honest review.

The author's latest book is a foray into the fashion industry with its vicious underbelly. Leads Amelia and Vogue easily pulled me into the storyline. There's angst, intrigue, romance, the overcoming of low self esteem and the dread of a carefully built life/business being lost. Ms. Winters' beautifully fleshed out characters and plot with all its up and downs combined with the power of hope, belief and ultimate redemption had me reading through the night to the end. I recommend with 5 stars.
I rec'd an ARC from the author and this is my un-biased review.

Lies, jealousy and betrayal!

Amelia is given a chance of a lifetime to work at Styles, a leading fashion design house in London. Little did she know that it's owner Vogue was counting on her designs to save the company. Amidst lies and betrayal, Melissa, Vogue's assistant, is such a fully developed character. Is she part of the love story or part of the evil plan? There are so many twists and turns full of jealousy and unrequited love and acceptance that had me quickly turning the pages. The writing is superb and the ending is amazing!

A 3.5 I was confused for too long as to why Melissa had a problem with Vogue and what was the reason. It was a ok read though.

Winters’ weaves a tangled web of lies, revenge, and love in this devastating and beautiful story featuring a quasi love triangle. This is an intense and twisted story yet at the center is a beautiful love story surrounded on all side by interfering forces that could doom it before it can even begin.
There were several surprising twists and turns that kept me on my toes throughout the story. The sheer magnitude of the deceptions and conflicts had me thoroughly engrossed and enamored.
Amelia and Vogue had one of those instant and undeniable world altering attractions, that irresistible kind of connection, which is good since they were sabotaged even before they met.
Melissa is one of the best characters I have ever read. She is full of depth and is perfectly balanced. I was entranced by her from the first meeting.
Vogue is strong yet vulnerable and her story is heavy with heartbreak and betrayal yet she still manages to hope and persist.
Amelia was my favorite character. She is a bit naïve, innocent, and trusting but she has such a kind heart and caring nature. She is incredibly lovable and she truly shined in this story.
Amelia and Vogue had such a good push and pull dynamic, both trying to deny the connection and going back and forth with forwardness and passiveness, never on the same page. I would have liked to see more exploration of their feelings for each other but they were so distracted by lies and schemes that they had great difficulty connecting despite the attraction. Their whole romance was fervent.
I loved this story and especially the characters and the tangled dynamics between them. A fantastic read with a superb ending.
