I hate this book. It's horrible and I dropped the class because of how much I hated the text and the accompanying website for homework problems. That being said, I am not too bright, so other people might think it's fine... but those other people would also be wrong in their opinion. This book is trash.

This was my textbook for a class a few years ago. It was a very well written book and I remember it fondly. Admittedly, I procrastinated and didn’t read much for most of the semester so I read it cover to cover the two days before my exam and aced it. It is very easy to draw information from and touches on major points without the usual unnecessary deviations.

Good points and easy index to find stuff, but overall not a fan of the chronological timeline throughout the chapters. It gets confusing switching between Rome and han dynasties in 3 chapters. History is not my favorite subject but this book made it less enjoyable personally.
