Exile doesn't feel like a novel but more like a summary of a long novel. There is nothing new and original about it. The writing style is very mediocre. Neither the plot is interesting nor are the characters. The transmigration of ML holds no meaning. MC and ML's relationship started with r*pe because ML was drugged but how this came to be is not explained at all. And MC just accepts ML as his partner without caring that he is a rape victim. If this is not romanticizing r*pe then what is? In fact, many things are not explained and just brushed off. Also, ML is the cliche type, you know the one who is only thinking about harassing MC all the time. He even gets jealous of his own son if his son gets more attention from MC than him. Also, ML calls MC, who is clearly a man, his wife. I so hate this everytime an author does this. Furthermore, MC wasn't acknowledged until the end as ML's partner. Only his children were acknowledged. In conclusion, the novel is nothing outstanding, only mediocre at best.
Rating: 3/5- This book’s high points are the babies! So cute and chubby and sweet! Otherwise it’s mediocre at best.
It’s a very badly written story with a constant feeling of rushing through a half baked idea. I read it to pass time mostly but I genuinely enjoyed the babies in this book. I usually love reading about dads with kids so this book caters to that really well.
If you’re looking for a solid plot or good writing or likeable characters, you won’t find any of that here.
Nothing really made much sense at all. I did not understand why anything happened in the first place?
Why did the r*pe even happen in the first place? Why was the r*pe ignored? How do you fall in love with your rapist? What did they even like about each other? How can only one man get pregnant out of the blue? Was it genetic? Did he eat something? Is he a ger? What was with the Emperor? What was with the princes? What was with the prime ministers? What was with the transmigration? What even...?
I could go on and on and none of my questions will have appropriate answers because nothing made sense from start to finish- except the babies!
So my advise is to just read it for the babies- they’re cute!

A reasonably long slice of life story, took me only a few hours to finish reading. Characters are nice, they don't have too much to them in my opinion but it doesn't actually bother the reader either, interactions of the main couple and people around them are rather amusing. There is no angst, some people cause annoyances but everything gets taken care of without any problems. I would say this is for people who want to read something light.
It's not quite a 3, not quite a 4 rated story but since I think it's higher than 3 I gave 4.
Very light read. The family stuff, especially the kids were quite realistic, they weren't perfectly behaved and cute fantasy children and it was nice. Every other part of the story, the characters, the plot felt very surface level and unfocused. The last big drama was the only really good part that I enjoyed.
It's an entertaining story that is a fast read, there's only a little angst at the beginning. It focuses mainly on the romance and not the political scheming. One of the characters is a transmigrator but it doesn't seem that relevant to the plot.
