It was supposed to be a one-night stand. No feelings. No strings.
But when two perfect strangers cross paths for a second time they begin to question if it’s purely coincidence.
Love isn’t in the cards for Magnolia, she’s accepted that. So why now does the universe choose to dangle the impossible in front of her face?
Jeremiah wasn’t looking for love either, but when an elusive beauty piques his interest he’s determined to unravel her mystery. But what will it cost him?
This was seriously one of the sweetest books that I’ve read. My heart was breaking for Magnolia, like I cried so hard I’m not sure how I could see through my years. I sympathized with Magnolia and felt everything as it was happening. Being a cancer warrior myself I was cautious but I think Danielle handled the topic with such grace and realistic aspects. I saw so much of myself in Magnolias character. I love when a book is so powerful and can bring out many emotions from the reader. It was Such a beautiful love story. Jeremiah was the perfect gentleman and he literally spoke life into Magnolia. Great job on this series!!!❤️
Kismet, karma, or destiny. Either could describe how this couple's relationship best operated. Magnolia had an issue, that was clear. The problem was unlike what I'd imagined. The love connection was sweet!
Foremost, Magnolia was an aloof yet an annoying character throughout this series but particularly in “If You Need Me (Harmony Heights - Book 4”) was a good read. However, there were patterns of reoccurring instabilities, which was even more disturbing to watch her struggle with for so years. More so, her debilitating psychological issues were never addressed: Magnolia’s survivors guilt. Why wasn’t she (honestly, any of the foster siblings) ever in therapy⁉️ Between her physical health, emotional & traumatic personal family issues her spirit was and remains unstable. Consequently, she’s none committal to any structure. Likewise, Jeremiah has his own unresolved scars, and no identity outside of the shadows of his parents especially his judgmental father. They both seem transient and travel to escape & anesthetize themselves from facing their difficult family challenges/reality. Nevertheless, I do believe Magnolia & Jeremiah love. Romantic, nah🤷🏾♀️⁉️However, I’m not convinced their pack & go journey is sustainable. They navigate through life like nomadic gypsies, at thirty years old. 🥴🤔 Hmmmm, I would love to read an Harmony Heights character update.
The story of Magnolia and Jeremiah showed destiny is around the corner if we let it happen. Their chance meetings at so many different times when they both needed the togetherness and the separation made the point in the storyline. Their roller coaster situation proved to eventually make the difference in the hardest relationship that needed understanding and that was Jeremiah’s with his father. Beautiful story of love overcoming the challenge of illness.
One troubling issue of book was poor editing with wrong characters named and misplaced wording.
The final book was a lot heavier than the others but still worth it. I went through a lot of ups and downs. Maggie and Jeremiah were instantly connected but taken on a journey of incredible love and hardship that they persevered through and catching up with the previous couples was satisfying now a novella to catch up on every couple through their own voices is what I need
Very enjoyable read. Maggie and Jeremiah were truly destined to meet, others may call that luck or something. However you label it, their chance meeting was right on time. Maggie needed Jeremiah and he was able to lovingly supply what she needed. In order to help Maggie, Jeremiah needed his father and OMG how his father showed his love for Jeremiah.
This was my 1st time reading any of this autors work and I'm glad I did. What a great series.. I was hook from the 1st book to the last book. Lost sleep because I just had to know what was coming next. Please tell me that we will be getting a story on for Jeremiah's cousin.
Wow what an ending to this series. Magnolia and Jeremiah's story was sweet, passionate, and gut wrenching. The emotions I experienced while reading this book happiness, anger, sadness joy, grief and back to happiness was worth it. Great series sorry to see it end.
I chose to write about all four books because I read them all . What I liked about them all were the love and respect the men had for their women. What I didn't like was the length of time it took the women to stop running and committ to the men. Yes, I would recommend to others but I think it should be more fast pace to keep reader engaged.
OMG where to start. These girls in all your books found magical love. I've so enjoyed reading all 4. Magnolia was stubborn and yet Jeremiah loved her still. Through sickness and pain he loved her. This story shares the true definition of..if you love someone let them go. If its meant to be, they will come back. Kismet. I love it! Great read. Thank you
Danielle Burton, you did the damn thing with Magnolia and Jeremiah’s story! They found an out of this world love for each other under the most extraordinary circumstance but the ultimate obstacle stood between them! Thank you for this heart wrenching love story!
It was truly destiny for Jeremiah and Maggie to come together. The way they met, running into each othet again and even his father being who he was all was spiritual plan. Loved this series and the family.
I don’t think I’ve ever cried more when I read any other book. The way Ms Danielle captured the emotions in writing is a testament of how great of an author she is.
‘If you Need Me' is not your typical romance novel.
There were hints about something being wrong with Magnolia 'Maggie' going back to book 1 of the Harmony Heights series. So, its not giving anything away to say that from the beginning of this book, which is Magnolia's story, we know that she is dealing with some type of illness.
The book begins with what was supposed to be a one night stand. They don't share their names and expect to never see each other again. In typical romance novel fashion, they meet again - in Harmony Heights. He's ecstatic, she's ecstatic (and terrified because of the secret she's hiding). The connection between Magnolia and Jeremiah is undeniable. It's magnetic. It's magical. As a reader, it was exciting to witness their love unfold. The words destiny and kismet were used. They fit.
Once the secret that Magnolia has been hiding is revealed, the book takes a turn from your typical romance novel, to a modern day tragedy. It was tragic and sad. It went down a dark hole and every time it seemed that light was breaking through, the hole went deeper. There were a few times that I considered just hopping to the end, just to get out of all the angst and sadness. But I'm glad I didn't. Though it was heartbreaking, I'm glad to have taken this journey with Magnolia, Jeremiah, and the rest of the Harmony Heights residents that I've come to know so well -because of the other books in the series.
What I'll say is that this book, much like book numbers 3 and 4, is not for the faint at heart. And though the other books may have had tragic elements, this one is in a class all by itself. With that being said, I highly recommend this book - I could not stop reading.
This story was beautiful and intense. I felt the sadness and was skeptical in the beginning. I soldiered on until the end, and was glad I did. I appreciated the character development, and the pace was good. Bravo!
I think Maggie’s journey was the most heartfelt one of them all. All of the sisters were but hers just touch you differently, you felt her emotions and placed your self in her shoes.
Wow, just wow. This book was so much. So many layers. So much emotion. So good. So everything!💗 I absolutely loved the instant connection Magnolia & Jeremiah had, and when they both ended up in the Heights, my heart melted. I will say that Ms. Burton handled Maggie's situation with such realism. Before, during and after her procedure, we saw the raw, real, ugly parts of that situation. That last break had my heart hurting, because the loss Ms. Burton painted was so palpable, but it was clearly for the best so Jeremiah & Magnolia could heal and grow. This was a beautifully written, richly emotional love story. I wish I could give it 10 🌟 stars!
Let me tell you something! This book had me so deep in my feelings! I laughed, I cried, and I got mad! But I throughly enjoyed reading If You Need Me! Some parts of this book made me feel like I should take a look at myself and stop being so scared of life and the idea/thought of finding love! Magnolia & Jeremiah I’m so glad they found their way back to love! After everything they’d been through! And I strongly recommend this book and the whole series! 😘
I've been waiting for Magnolia's story to come out and it was definitely worth the wait. I absolutely love how Magnolia and Jeremiah story begin. They were absolutely meant to be together. I don't want to give anything away this is a story that you must read for yourself. Simply fabulous so worth the read and the wait. Excellent, excellent job Danielle. As always it was my pleasure reading this book 🤗. I love the Heights.
Whew! This book had me all in my feelings!! Magnolia and Jeremiah’s story is one of the best books I’ve read in months. When an author can make your heart hurt just like the characters in the book and have real tears in your eyes, you know that they’ve done their job. You will absolutely love this entire series but this book is by far the best one.
OMG!! This is the best story yet! I am emotionally shredded but in a good way. I almost never cry reading but this one here did me in. Jeremiah and Magnolia, were two souls searching for what they didn't even know but fate brought them together. To learn, grow, to love beyond reason. It was so great to get a follow with the other sisters and it didn't take away from this story. I wish this series could go on forever
This book had me to all night trying to finish it. Magnolia and Jeremiah has so much chemistry, just everything I didn’t know I needed to read. Great end to a great series.
Love their story! my heart hurts when Maggie had to abort her baby, and Jeremiah close his business, but happy the universe brought them back. Amazing family and a perfect love story. Can’t wait to read more about these characters
Magnolia went through a lot. This book has my emotions all over the place but I loved it. Do glad they found each other again. Destiny. Can't wait to read more
