I am the greatest of monsters...

Thousands of years ago I made a mistake. A terrible mistake that cost me everything. My dearest husband. My beloved children.

Even my humanity.

My curse makes me dangerous to all those around me, so I've secluded myself where I can never hurt another person again.
But the Fates have other plans for me that don't include hiding for eternity. Three gargoyles I killed have returned from the dead to seek, not only revenge against me, but also to remove the curse I've inadvertently passed onto them. But if they can't provide me with the blood I need to quench my hunger, all of humanity will be in danger on our path.

And so, we strike a deal: they'll provide me with blood, and I'll help to seek the answers to end this curse.

I'd be lying if I didn't say I was afraid. Of trusting my enemies, yes, but more than anything, of trusting myself. I am a bloodthirsty monster that can shift into a dangerous form, that feeds on blood, that kills. Am I a fool to think I could be anything more?

LAMIA'S BITE is a paranormal reverse harem romance featuring a vampiristic heroine and three sexy gargoyles. This is also a #whychoose romance, meaning our heroine doesn't need to choose between her love interests. And like all the books in this series, it's so hot it might just boil your blood!

This book builds on previous books in the series, Medusa's Destiny and Keto's Tale. They are both wonderful stories, and available in Monsters and Gargoyles: (Books 1-3) or individually. Lamia was raped by Zeus and cursed by Hera to her current form thousands of years ago. She lives with the guilt of having murdered her husband and children. The siren Agalope brings her a book that shows other snake shifters like her. Ryker, a gargoyle buried as dead, is resurrected after Lamia reads from the book. Darius, a gargoyle, is drawn to Vincent, another gargoyle just resurrected. The gargoyles find Lamia and decide to postpone killing her until they get their curse reversed at a magic cave. They must travel together and feel a constant, increasing attraction to Lamia, and she feels drawn to them. There is a huge amount of sexual and relationship tension as the gargoyles try to resist Lamia and Lamia continues to see herself as a monster. Emotions run high as each, in turn, face their own guilt and past. Tension mounts as they approach their goal. The final climax is expected, but still heart-warming and happy.

Lamia was made a monster, many centuries ago, and has been trying to hide away but the hunger for blood eventually forces her to kill, and it eats her up inside. All she wants is her children back, and she will do anything she can to make it happen.
When three Gargoyles return from the dead, they seek revenge on the monster that killed them but what they find is Lamia, wracked with guilt. Together they embark on a journey that should get them everything they want, but along the way, their hatred and revenge gets replaced with hope of a new life together.
Lamia is so emotional over the death of her children, and the horrors she has seen, that she hides away from everyone.

This was great read, I was hooked, I couldn't resist Lamia's awful story or the Gargoyles protectiveness despite trying to hate her. Some great plot twists and I really loved the poetic justice served up to Edgar! I love this series, and its different view of the Green Pantheon, I can't wait for the next book, to hear Shade's story, and more great narration. I received this book in exchange for my honest review.

Even monsters need love

I read and listened to this book, and as always Lacey does an amazing job of drawing you into the story. All the characters are well written and you feel like you are right there with them. All Lamia wants is to be left alone and to maybe somehow, someway be with her children again. For the gargoyles they just want revenge on the person who killed them. Or do they

I love when the monsters get their stories told. Lamia has a lot of feels in it. The character development is deep and intriguing. The gargoyles have their own pain to overcome as well. This is a dramatic and heart wrenching story full of healing and the search for a happy future. The quest they go on adds another level of interest and action. Definitely recommend.

Brilliant read.
Lamia has done many, many horrible things and she has no light at the end of the tunnel. But when faced with the horrors of her past the gargoyles she killed have come for her. But life has changed and she may have a way to change things but only if she can get the gargoyles on her side.
Brilliant read.

Wow

Lamia story may be the best one yet.. or at the very least top 2. Her story is so familiar and yet so tragic it makes her special. some of the truest monsters usually hide behind the most normal exterior.

It took them a while before they realized that
she wasn't at fault. And I am glad she got her
children back. But Hera never gets punished

Even the flawed deserve love

Lamia was cursed by Hera for something that Zeus did without Lamia's permission. Now she is a half snake woman shifter that has to drink blood. She has killed many in her lifetime including her two children and three gargoyles.
After centuries of being a monster she finally discovers a way to possibly end her curse and bring her children back to life. She accidentally resurrects the gargoyles as her protectors.
Can these three ever forgive her for what she did to them? Can she help them return to their former way of life too?
The final line in this story says, "Maybe even the flawed deserve love too." Which is true even in the world we live in.

My Favorite of the Series so far!

Lamia's Blood: A Reverse Harem Romance
(Monsters and Gargoyles Book 5)
By: Lacey Carter Andersen 5 Stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

******** May Contain Some Spoilers ********

I will try my absolute best to keep spoilers to a minimum or completely out of my review. Sometimes it can be hard to do so.

Lacey is rocking this series! I love 💘 every book in the series! 💜💜 This book might be my favorite by far. I did get emotional while reading 📚 but that just means the author ROCKS!

Okay so let's get to our monster Lamia. Lamia was a normal woman cursed by the Goddess Hera. Hera is just a sad 😢goddess that can't her man happy and then blames the poor woman he tricks. I really hope in one of these books in the series, someone gives debitch Hera what she deserves. Anyhoo, 3 gargoyles, Ryker, Darius, and Vincent, were killed by Lamia. Somehow they come back to life and are linked to Lamia. They are not happy! The gargoyles have to help Lamia on a quest to reverse curse. The Gods and Goddesses even get involved in this quest. Some good some bad. Very interesting quest. A lot of action, fighting, blood, and unexpected romance. I would like to know what happens later with Lamia and her gargoyles. I hope Lacey will give us novella with these monsters.

Lamia's Blood

5 Stars
This book made me cry from the first chapter and it was so addicting I couldn't put it down. It got me hooked from the beginning to the end. I love Lamia, I love how she is sweet, kind and caring. Monster or not she is the best mother. The gargoyles were just what I wanted in a hero, they protect, save and love, what a gourges men they were.

I hated Zeus and Hera every time I read about them, I hate how Hera punished alot of women because she was married to a manwhore who couldn't keep his d*ck in his pants and I wish her hell and a painful death if I ever read about her.

Lamia made me laugh at one moment then cry in the next, I felt so angry for her suffering and pain .

The women in this series are suffering in a way that always make me wish to hold them and make sure they are not alone. The cruelty of Gods and Goddess in this series made me hate them and wish them all to suffer in every painful way for what they have done and I was so happy for what happened to Edgar cuz he deserved is and more. But now I'm eager to know what will happen in the next book.

I even wanted the book to be longer cuz it was so good. This series is the best series I have ever read and now there is another heroine that I can't wait to read about her.

I’m completely in love with this book. Lamia’s story was so different from others, and so painful as well, she was haunted by her guilt for centuries, she felt as a monster, a monster she was not. She blamed herself for everything, things which was out of her hands actually. Because of one book she got little drop of hope. And when three gargoyles came to find her on her island, three who bring big regret within her, she sees a possibility of future. Our three sexy gargoyles have own ghosts to haunt them, and they sure do take time to understand what are they now and to come to a closure with theirs pasts and understanding that monsters can be hidden in places you wouldn’t expect any and that those who seemed to be monsters might as well not be. All four of them learn to work together and trust each other, to find even more, to find new future. The quest is hard, casualties pretty heavy, gods and goddesses meddling with theirs fates, nothing comes easy. Honestly this series getting better and better, this story was amazing.

Long ago Lamia was a happily married wife and mother of two. Then life too a drastic turn when bathing Zeus appears, magically has his way with her despite her not wanting him. When he leaves Hera appears and curses her. She then does the unthinkable, having to live with it, in agony for thousands of years. She's killed many, choosing starvation, living in solitude in her attempt to not kill. One day a friend of hers brings her hope in the shape of a book, one that gives clues on how to get her children back, and she needs her protectors for this quest. They end up being 3 gargoyles who she had killed before, brought back to life. This was definitely a grand tale! I love how Lamia went from misery to an self assured woman on a mission. I loved the bond growing slowly from distrust to love. Made my heart smile.

Fab addition to a great series!

This was a twist in the series with the gargoyles being brought together with their monster in a very different way. It's great to see that even in the fifth book, this series isn't getting repetitive. Instead of knowing each other previously, they're brought together through death and magic. Lamia is a fantastic main character, exploring grief and learning to continue living with it.

I also enjoyed the presence of the Greek gods in this one. We're seeing them more with each book and expanding the world little by little.

I'm left wondering what will happen with the overarching plot after the final scene. I love the teases we get with each book as to what's going to happen next, and I'm very excited for Shade's book.

I'm a huge fan of the monsters books by Lacey Carter Anderson. I love ancient myths and legends and stories of the Gods. Lamia's Blood was probably my favourite book with my favourite characters. Lamia is a complex and tortured soul, her vulnerabilities really make her so interesting and her journey is about more than just a quest, it's also a personal journey. Her gargoyles are different from the ones in the previous books in an intriguing way! The world these books is set in, has been well established and I think is expanded on here in a cool way. My heart will always want what Lamia wants.

Absolutely Awesome read, it will wanna make you kick some Greek butts, such a gripping and intense read all the way from page one to the end which has a killer cliffhanger, you have been warned, with some very hot moments with some very hot gargoyles who learn the real truth behind her story which wasn't her fault at all, lots of laughs, tears, and some very feel good moments. This author never disappoints, never a boring read , cannot wait to see what happens next.. This book was reviewed by a Book Loving Vixen.
