When Bonnie Lane's husband passes away unexpectedly and leaves her a widow in her forties, she's left with three grown sons and the decision to stay in Atlanta, or to start a new life somewhere else.
A trip to Christmas Key with her sister-in-law is the catalyst for her move, transporting her from a busy life in the city to an island still in the early stages of its development. Frank and Jeanie Baxter are still alive; Holly is a recent high-school graduate instead of the mayor; and Jack Frosty's isn't even a figment of anyone's imagination yet.
This Christmas Key novella is like a time machine that takes us back to the start for Bonnie and for the island. It can be read at any point in the series!
Stephanie Taylor writes a romantic comedy series about a fictional island called "Christmas Key," as well as several other standalone romance, YA, and middle grade titles.
I just finished the entire series and I loved every book in the series!! Ask would finish one of the books, i could hardly wait to read the next book to see what Holly and the other characters were up to. I love your sense of humor and the low key way you dealt with love scenes which got the point over but wasn't overly descriptive! I definitely love your style of writing and will be reading more of your books. Thank you for sharing your talent with us, the readers!
I thoroughly enjoyed Bonnie's back story, reading it after finishing the Christmas Key series. I appreciated the extra insight it gave to Holly and Coco as well. A good short read!
I adore this series and the novellas flesh out the cast of characters and give more insight to the relationships seen in the main story. Bonnie is a larger-than-life gal and I enjoyed hearing more about who she is and how she came to be an integral part of Christmas Key. Keep on writing Steph!
