I have read A Sparkle of Silver and A Glitter of Gold the first two books in the Georgia Coast series and I enjoyed them both but A Dazzle of Diamonds was my favorite of the three. I loved looking for the treasure with Tucker and Penelope.
The characters and the story are not to be forgotten.
I gave this book 4 stars and I recommend the whole series.

I absolutely loved this series and am sorry to see it end. But the end of this series means the beginning of a brand new series with the first book releasing in Summer 2021 and I can't wait!
This book makes you just melt into a big goopy puddle of happiness. It was charming without being too cutesy. The situations presented where sometimes funny and some had you scratching your head saying, "how are they going to get out of this one? " All the situations where realistic though. I loved the characters and the interaction between them was so fun to read. The book is uplifting and in the theme of a positive note. There is a time split where the past has a direct affect on present time in the book but most of this contemporary does take place in modern times.

I needed a quick, upbeat, and sweet read and this one totally fit the bill. Wit, humor, friendship, and history is balled in one.
Penelope and Tucker’s friendship was a comfortable fit. And then... the pretend dating. Yeah, there were several times I, being my very unromantic and unsappy self, rolled my eyes at them.
There was a good picture of “unforgiveness in denial” coupled with bitterness. But it didn’t stay there. The end was packed with a solid lesson in Biblical forgiveness and following God’s plan.
Okay, the romance. I make no secret that I’m not the biggest romance fan. If you like full-blown romance with lots of kisses, noticing, and feelings, you’ll adore this book. I still liked the book even though it had a big dose of romance.
Would I hand it to a teen? Probably not, just because I know a lot of teens who have best guy friends and secretly hope for a story like Penelope’s and Tucker’s. But that doesn’t always happen, and it could fuel some unrealistic expectations. But for women who like a sweet, romantic read, this one would fit your bill perfectly.

Oh my! This was an amazing story! I loved the characters SO much and the romance was just perfect. I loved following the mystery and seeing the love develop between Tucker and Penelope.
The book was written is such a beautiful way and I was immediately drawn into the story. I had a difficult time putting it down...even though I didn't have a lot of reading time and had to take several breaks.
All in all, A Dazzle of Diamonds was wonderful and I completely recommend it. I think this is my favorite of the series and I can't wait to see what Liz Johnson writes next!

I've loved Liz Johnson's contemporaries for a long time and this one was no exception...it's full of vibrant characters (even the side characters are full of color and are memorable--my favorite being the aunt). The leads are truly delightful; Penelope and Tucker have been best friends for forever, but until life gets in their way, they don't really consider each other as possible matches. It simply wasn't on their radar at all until...well, just a few things happen in the story! And circumstances make them suddenly see each other with new eyes.
The historical thread is truly interesting as well. It's about the invasion toward Savannah during the Civil War and a young heroine whose family is worried about what will happen when the soldiers reach town. This didn't get a ton of screen time and the story focused more on Penelope and Tucker unraveling things than on the young lady; her story is pieced together bit by bit through journal entries and letters.
Anyway, treasure hunts are always fun! I wish there were more stories in this series...

I started off my reading of this book thinking that I might not like it because I'm not a huge fan of fake dating (the pre-equivalent to marriage of convenience) storylines. They seem like the plot of every Hallmark movie out there. However, it became apparent pretty swiftly that although Penelope and Tucker say that the relationship isn't real, it most definitely is. Their feelings for each other come to the surface immediately and everyone around them can see that there's something there. It isn't insta-love either, because the two are lifelong friends, so their relationship feels authentic.
Combine that with letters and diary entries from the past that the two are following in an attempt to find a rumored long-buried treasure, and the adventure heats up as quickly as their romance. And there wouldn't be a gripping story without some conflict--Penelope has been previously left at the altar and her former fiance shows up, and Tucker needs to figure out how to relate to his parents. The plot is engrossing and the characters are endearing, I stayed up late into the night reading because I wanted to know if they would find the treasure and admit their feelings to each other.
The ending is sweet and satisfying. Liz Johnson's romantic adventure stories are ones I look forward to each year, and this one does not disappoint.

The title of this book resonates with me in more than one way, and as you read you will see what I am talking about. Sometimes we never see what is right in front of our eyes, and sadly we move in the wrong directions.
We are given a young woman Penelope with a lot of hurts, she had been hurt by the people she trusted the most, or most of them anyway. She has a best friend, Tucker, and they both are and have been there for one another most all of their lives, and once again they each have something they need and come together to help.
Will they wake up and see what is there? Will the scandal that is after Tucker's family be alleviated?
A delightful, page-turner!!

A Dazzle of Diamonds was a cute read, I didn't plan on reading this books even though I had read the first two book of the series. It showed up in my library's catalogue and I thought why not? I really enjoyed getting to know Penelope Jean Hunter (PJ) and Tucker Westbrook. They were two imperfect people who thought they had it all together, but it took taking their friendship to the next level to really discover what matters to them. Again, super cute.

A Dazzle Of Diamonds by Liz Johnson is a most charming contemporary Christian romance with a mystery thrown in too. It is the third book in the Georgia Coast Romance series but can be read as a stand-alone.
There is a family reputation to delve into following a hundred and fifty year old accusation. It seems like the sins of the fathers have travelled down the years as lives are tarnished due to their ancestor’s behaviour. Letters from 1864 and a diary will reveal the truth.
There is the theme of treasure. For some treasure is in wealth and status. For others they realise that true treasure is always to be found in people – people from all sorts of walks of life. “Kids with faces and names and hopes and dreams.” Making a difference in the lives of the disadvantaged brings treasures beyond measure.
Hearts need to be opened to discover self-worth. Too often we believe the lie that says we are not ‘good enough’ instead of looking to God who says we are loved.
Life hurts. We are never meant to carry a baggage of hurts that weighs us down. We must choose “to let the hurt go.” Part of the healing is in the forgiving. “She’d forgiven him because… she’d been forgiven plenty too.” We were never meant to live in the prison of unforgiveness. We were meant to live free.
We make our plans for our lives but God’s plan is far greater. We would be wise to follow His path.
There is a beautiful friendship within the novel. The love, care and kindness are tangible. I adored the rapport between the characters.

A very enjoyable book that has kept me entertained throughout the whole story with romance, mystery and faith all rolled into one.
Penelope is an interesting character and one I grew to like as the story went on. She even gave me a few laughs as well. Some of her antics I can relate to.
Aunt Shirley comes in as my second favorite person. She's full of wisdom and I love her form of hospitality. An interesting character for sure. She's someone I could be friends with.
The mystery and history part of the book is what I enjoyed the most. I like learning things.
I always look forward to Liz Johnson's stories because no matter where the place she writes about she draws me into the book and I find myself not wanting to leave afterwards.
I did not like Tucker's nemesis, Some of the things he did was just down right mean.
The cover of this book is just gorgeous I give this book five stars although I wish I could give it more. I want this for my keeper shelf.

This book is the best in Liz Johnson's Georgia Coast Romance series! Hands down. Every ingredient is here: a hidden treasure, a great hero, quirky, cute heroine, wonderful plot, a super swoony romance to curl your toes, and a lot of just plan fun, that all cooks up together into a delightful book you do not want to miss.

Penelope Hunter and Tucker Westbrook have been best buds for twenty five years. Until they really begin noticing each other. Sweet tea, a family mystery, and southern charm is wrapped up in this romance set in Savannah!
In this forced lovers contemporary romance, we find childhood friends wanting to keep what they have, but questioning what could be more while the pressures of their family and past relationships seem to keep pulling them apart.
I absolutely loved learning the added history and legacy of Tucker's family. I also LOVED the fact that he's dyslexic and how capable he was with inventions, working with his hands, building a business by being entrepreneurial, showing that with the right support, dyslexic's are very successful! I adored this representation in the book!!!
If you're familiar with Liz's writing, you know she can sure write a kiss! I think this is what I'm coming to know her for, lol!
I listened to this book as an audiobook over a long period of time, however, I was able to jump back each time, which says a lot to liz's writing and story building!!

Such a delightful and enchanting story of lost treasure, finding faith and love during the lowest of times, and rallying for the downtrodden. Liz Johnson has a way of creating romantic and breath-taking backdrops and plots filled with quirky, memorable, and down-to-earth characters attempting to heal from brokenness. This is book 3 in the Georgia Coast Romance series set in Savannah, GA but can be read as a stand-alone. If you enjoy well-written contemporary romance, this book will enthrall you. It really does dazzle like diamonds!
There is another diary and letters that are involved in this plot. This time the diary and letters belong to Tucker's ancestors from the Civil War era that could possibly lead him to find a lost treasure to help fund his run for county sheriff and also clear his family's name that has been smeared. Tucker is smart, loyal, compassionate, and driven but suffers from poor self-image and feels that he always has to prove himself to be worthy. Penelope is a fun, joyful, vivacious woman who thrives on lists and organization but she, too, has suffered a blow to her heart and ego when her ex-fiance left her at the altar. Tucker and Penelope (PJ) have been best friends forever and it takes this dive into the past to salvage the future that brings them together. Their friendship and love for each other is so genuine and their romance, despite hiccups and naysayers, is incredibly sweet. I really appreciated that their relationship wasn't the typical one best friend carrying the torch for the other but they gradually realized each other's potential as more than friends. As much as I loved Tucker and Penelope, Tucker's aunt Shirley totally stole the show. Her maturity, knowledge of family history, unconditional love, and sage advice brought the plot and characters together seamlessly. Such a delightful and enchanting story of lost treasure, finding faith and love during the lowest of times, and rallying for the downtrodden. Liz Johnson has a way of creating romantic and breath-taking backdrops and plots filled with quirky, memorable, and down-to-earth characters attempting to heal from brokenness. This is book 3 in the Georgia Coast Romance series set in Savannah, GA but can be read as a stand-alone. If you enjoy well-written contemporary romance, this book will enthrall you. It really does dazzle like diamonds!
There is another diary and letters that are involved in this plot. This time the diary and letters belong to Tucker's ancestors from the Civil War era that could possibly lead him to find a lost treasure to help fund his run for county sheriff and also clear his family's name that has been smeared. Tucker is smart, loyal, compassionate, and driven but suffers from poor self-image and feels that he always has to prove himself to be worthy. Penelope is a fun, joyful, vivacious woman who thrives on lists and organization but she, too, has suffered a blow to her heart and ego when her ex-fiance left her at the altar. Tucker and Penelope (PJ) have been best friends forever and it takes this dive into the past to salvage the future that brings them together. Their friendship and love for each other is so genuine and their romance, despite hiccups and naysayers, is incredibly sweet. I really appreciated that their relationship wasn't the typical one best friend carrying the torch for the other but they gradually realized each other's potential as more than friends. As much as I loved Tucker and Penelope, Tucker's aunt Shirley totally stole the show. Her maturity, knowledge of family history, unconditional love, and sage advice brought the plot and characters together seamlessly. There is forgiveness, reconciliation, letting go of fear, and finding true worth embedded into each character and subplot. This book is a must-read for your summer!

A Dazzle of Diamonds is such a beautiful story. The author is incredible at weaving in a historical story with a modern one as well. The characters are so incredible and the romance was spot on. This book brings out the perfect balance between adventure, mystery and love. I had been looking for the perfect beach book and this was the read I had been hoping for.
I have read A Sparkle of Silver and A Glitter of Gold, which are the first two books in the Georgia Coast series and they were great books, but A Dazzle of Diamonds was my favorite. Something about the mystery and adventure with Tucker and Penelope was exactly what I needed.
If you are looking for a quick, fun and light read, this is your book. Author, Liz Johnson is one not to miss. Her books are incredible and the perfect summer read. I highly recommend this book and the rest of the Georgia Coast Series.

A great contemporary romance that includes a fake dating trope, an ex-fiancé’s wedding, and a treasure hunt in Savannah, Georgia. It has a dual storyline told through a Civil War era journal and letters. Also a great message about relying on God’s plan for your life.

A DAZZLE OF DIAMONDS is the third and final book in this series, and while fans will want to read the first two books, this one does stand-alone.
While mainly contemporary, the characters do have to rely on an ancient diary and letters to solve a mystery that will answer the modern day problem. They are racing the clock to save a reputation and a job.... Can they find the answers in time?
I enjoyed this story and didn't want to put it down. The mystery made the book.... Loved it. If you like contemporary romance with a touch of mystery you will love this book--and the whole series-- by Liz Johnson.

A Dazzle of Diamonds by Liz Johnson 4.5 stars
“And it made Tucker smile harder. He’d lived for two things for as long as he’d known her - to make her flash those dazzling dimples and turn as pink as possible every single day. So far today he was one for two.”
This my first full book from Liz Johnson and I really enjoyed her work. This is the third book in the Georgia Coast Romance series but you can read it as a stand alone. The book covers the story of the past through Caroline’s diary and the present with Penelope and Tucker. I love Penelope and Tucker’s friendship. They have remained true friends for twenty years and are still going strong. Tucker’s family is accused as traitors so they start to find proof that it’s not true.
Caroline’s story interests me because I have hope that it will lead them to unravelling the truth. It was good but too many details and a bit slow at times. I love the present story much better. Penelope or PJ to Tucker is a lovable character. PJ and Tucker have flaws but I love how close they are. Tucker is fun to read and protective of PJ.
I just love how their characters have developed. I think it’s cute as they discover their attraction for each other. They don’t know what to do with it. Aunt Shirley is fun and the best. She leads them to realize things on their own with her advice. She leads them closer to God and to be open to forgive.
This is a fun and quick read. I can read PJ and Tucker’s story again and again.

Squueeeeepppp!!! I'm bedazzled by this friends-to-sweethearts romance!!! Besotted over Tucker. Besties-wannabe with Penelope and over the moon smitten with the way their story plays out. Plus there's a subplot via journal entries from one of Tucker's ancestors that leads to some genealogical intrigue and a potential treasure hunt. I mean, can it get any better than this? Only if the story lasted longer!
And this is the kind of romance you get to feel your way through because my emotions were on hyper-drive for the duration. Between Tucker's misguided idea that he has to prove himself in order to be worthy of love and Penelope's deep-rooted fears of being left behind -- well, these two had my tummy tied up in knots. And there are enough cantankerous sorts spewing angst along their path to keep me happily seething and eagerly looking for more than one comeuppance. :-)
But there's tons of lighter moments too. The easy camaraderie between these life long friends made my heart sing. And their inner dialogue as they become romantically enlightened is hysterical. Oh, the nerves and wariness and hope and botched moments. When I wasn't snickering I was swooning.
I listened to the audible edition narrated by Amy Melissa Bentley who did an amazing job of conveying emotion and humour and the unique personalities of each character.

I was completely dazzled by A Dazzle of Diamonds! It will be on my top reads list for 2020 because Liz Johnson is a fabulous word weaver. Everything I love in a story is contained within the pages; angst, humor, mystery, and romance. Penelope and Tucker have been inseparable since childhood and go together like peanut butter and jelly. They’re best friends supporting one another through thick and thin. When a client of Penelope’s misunderstands their relationship and assumes Penelope and Tucker are a couple, the friends-to-more trope takes off like a rocket into outer space.

This book has everything I need in a book: a historical city setting that has me taking a bookish vacation, a treasure hunt, and an old diary and letters that told a story all their own, giving it a split-time feel. I am not sure if the author has ever lived in the Deep South, but her love of the culture and its history is apparent.
I love a good 'friends-to-more' romantic trope and this one was just plain fun! The chemistry between PJ and Tucker practically sizzled right off the written page. Liz Johnson gives her readers hero/heroines that are so real: full of grit yet tender-hearted to the needs of others.
I loved the inspirational thread that God's plan is best. But more importantly, I loved reading how Tucker sought to overcome his lifetime struggle of feeling inadequate, not being good enough. We all need a relative like Tucker's Aunt Shirley, full of Southern sass and nuggets of wisdom.

I have loved each of the books in the Georgia Romance series, and this third book is no exception! A Dazzle of Diamonds is an extremely sweet contemporary romance story, with strong characters and a fun plot. Penelope and Tucker have been long-time best friends. But to help each other out, they have to pretend to date. I love the trope of a faked relationship. The outcome is almost always the best, and following along the journey is entertaining. ^.^I really loved their relationship through the whole book. Their friendship was so sweet.I also appreciated the lessons each of them underwent, finding that their worth isn't in what they think it is.This book is both lighthearted and touching. As with the other books, I love how it told a dual story as they search for a treasure. The journal entries from the civil war era at the end of most chapters was such a great touch, and I love how it added and entwined with the story.Liz Johnson is definitely on my list of must-read-authors!

Can they solve a mystery over 150 years old to clear his name and help win his bid for sheriff?
Penelope and Tucker have been best friends for as long as they can remember, they've been with each other through thick and thin. I loved their easygoing rapport, and how they just know each other so well, bringing out the best in each other. Aunt Shirley is a hoot, and I loved how she didn't wait for an adventure to find her, but sought them out herself. She says it like it is, but knows her timing too.
I really liked how Tucker has worked hard for all of his accomplishments, there are plenty of things that didn't come easily for him. I admired his work ethic, and how he is always there to stand up for PJ. I loved how Penelope is a normal sized girl, she is beautiful, but still worries about her weight and isn't super model thin. She is a brilliant event planner, and I loved her compassion for others.
Overall this was a completely enjoyable read, I loved the witty and humorous narrative that made me laugh out loud multiple times. Penelope and Tucker are a fantastic team, and I loved them together as they searched for treasure while keeping up their charade. I also enjoyed the historical storyline as well, following Caroline as she finds herself caught between new love and loyalty. Engaging with strong themes of faith, with great chemistry, colorful characters, and love!

When accusations of treasonous behavior by one of his ancestors threaten Tucker's campaign for Sheriff, he and his best friend, Penelope, set out to disprove the slander by seeking the treasure his family was accused of stealing.
I was captivated from the start by Liz Johnson's clever way with words. Witty, tongue-in-cheek moments fill the pages along with sweet aah inspiring situations. PJ and Tucker experienced intense emotions as they struggled with feelings of inadequacy and their growing realization of their feelings for one another.
It was also fun to also have Carolyn's story told through her journal. The answer to the mystery of the missing treasure was slowly revealed along with hints of a romance.

It is a wonderful story that had me smiling and sighing. The secondary characters such as Aunt Shirley were delightful as well and added to the story. Being set in the beautiful town of Savannah added to the southern charm of the story.

I have enjoyed everyone of Liz Johnson’s books and this one is no exception. In fact I think it is my favorite of this series.
I loved the first line in this book. But it actually took me almost half way through before I became totally invested in these characters.
The diamonds that were the treasure turned out not to be what I’d imagined. And the friends to lovers trope was well done and even knowing they would be together there were some surprises at the end.
All in all a very good read!

A Dazzle of Diamonds by Liz Johnson is a romance with a bit of history and mystery. I really enjoyed the characters, and their long history of just being friends that moved into a romance of love. I also enjoyed the story line and of course the sweet HEA.. What I think I enjoyed most, were the diary entries and the letters from the civil war era. These gave clues to the mystery/treasure that the hero Tucker, and the heroine, Penelope were trying to solve. and recover. This is an easy read and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
