This final volume of Marvel’s younger readers Spidey title brings things nicely to an end, wrapping up the whole Stark Industries competition thread that brought our three webby heroes together in issue one.

In the meantime, Pete, Miles and Gwen find themselves facing off with Dr. Octopus for the first time with the added ingredient of Venom thrown into the mix... but is Venom a friend or another deadly foe? Fun stuff.

This is a part of a Spider-Man series for young readers. The story is not that complex, so it is easy to follow for kids. The art is attractive and features a younger Peter Parker, so Gwen Stacy, Miles Morales, and Peter Parker are all depicted as about the same age. This story also features Venom as an anti-hero, so fans of a heroic Venom will like this.

Dětská pavoučí řada, kde se mezi pavouky mlátí Venom s Octopusem. Tónem to nejvíc připomíná Velkolepého Spideyho od Egmontu, dost mě otravovalo neustále moralizování.

Pro dospěláka nuda, pro dětskou cílovku asi fajn (ale stejně bych jí raději dal klasiku).

I enjoyed the banter and wit between the characters. The plot kept me interested and engaged. My husband is a big Spiderman/Venom fan and he assures me that Delilah's take on this universe felt fresh and fun! I especially enjoyed the Hamilton reference!

Peter, Miles, and Gwen are nearing the end of their competition to get an interview with Tony Stark. They feel confident their stories should attract his attention. But right now there's a new spidey in town and he doesn't seem very nice. The trio decides to track him down, find out what his deal is, and keep him from tarnishing the spidey persona as much as possible.

Another fun adventure with this trio. They get to tangle with Doc-Oc and meet Venom. Venom is a very complicated character. On the one hand you empathize with him, but on the other hand the teens don't approve of his methods and try to talk him into less violent tendencies. It is a valiant effort, and I like the sentiments. I really like these Marvel Action books for middle grades. It makes the superheroes they have met in movies more approachable than some of the more adult titles from Marvel.

Notes on content: One or two minor swears. No sexual content. Some superhero/supervillian fighting, but no one is seriously hurt (and as mentioned, the trio tries to minimize the violence).

Έτσι καί οι νεότερες, πλέον, γενιές έρχονται σε επαφή με εκείνους/ες -κατά κόρον- μέσω των διάφορων κινηματογραφικών ταινιών, στις οποίες τους ήρωες καί τις ηρωϊδες τις υποδύονται ενήλικες ηθοποιοί, με τους/τις οποίους/ες δεν είναι πάντα τόσο εφικτό να ταυτιστούν, ακόμη καί να βάλουν τον εαυτό τους στην θέση τους.

Κακά τα ψέματα, ακόμη καί οι ήρωες/ηρωϊδες δεν γεννήθηκαν ενήλικες, αλλά υπήρξαν παιδιά καί έφηβοι/ες με τις όποιες συμπεριφορές καί συνήθειες συνοδεύουν αυτές τις ηλικιακές ομάδες. Τί καλύτερο, λοιπόν, από το να βάλουμε τα παιδιά καί τους/τις εφήβους/ες να διαβάσουν βιβλία κόμικς όπου αυτά τα αγαπημένα πρόσωπα έχουν ίδια ηλικία μαζί τους; Δείτε το σαν έναν τρόπο να ξανασυστηθούμε κι εμείς μαζί τους καί να δούμε την πορεία τους...

Διάβασα καί σας παρουσιάζω το νέο βιβλίο (4ο κατά σειρά έκδοσης) της σειράς Μarvel Action Spider-Man, με τίτλο ''Venom'', το οποίο κυκλοφορεί στην χώρα μας από τις εκδόσεις Anubis, σε μετάφραση του κυρίου Χρήστου Τσέλιου καί το οποίο απευθύνεται τόσο σε παιδιά ηλικίας 8-12 ετών, αλλά καί σε εμάς τα πιο μεγάλα παιδιά!

Περιγραφή:

Η ΝΕΑ ΓΕΝΙΑ ΓΝΩΡΙΖΕΙ (ΞΑΝΑ) ΤΟΝ ΑΡΑΧΝΑΚΙΑ!

Εγώ απήλαυσα κάθε στιγμή της ανάγνωσης καί μελλοντικά, όχι μόνο θα αναζητήσω καί επόμενα έργα της σειράς, αλλά καί τα τρία προηγούμενα που δεν τα έχω στην βιβλιοθήκη μου!

📌Summary:
The issue “Marvel Action: Spider-Man, Venom” focuses on the adventures of the young superhero Peter Parker, known as Spider-Man. In this story, Peter teams up with fellow superheroes Miles Morales and Gwen Stacy to take on a major threat, Venom, a dangerous and vicious symbiote.

Venom is an alien organism that attaches itself to humans, enhancing their powers but also influencing their behavior towards evil. As Venom wreaks havoc on the city, a host of classic Marvel heroes make appearances including the Lizard, Dr Octopus and Iron Man.

📌Review:
Now I understand where this fantastic humor comes from that I see in marvel movies and especially spiderman. This issue is full of humorous dialogues between the heroes as well as the villains.

“Marvel Action: Spider-Man, Venom” is perfect for new readers as well as long-time Spider-Man fans.
