Bellissimo! È il primo manga che leggo, ma devo dire che, apparte alcuni disegni, è fatto molto bene ed è estremamente fluido. Da appassionato di ff non posso che amarlo!

Wasn't the biggest fan of this manga but I am hoping that the series gets better because I love final fantasy a lot.

A pretty fun 1st volume! Two siblings who have always loved Final Fantasy games work their way onto the Square Enix team, only to find themselves in a fantasy world following an accident. The world building is fun, the art is beautiful, and the characters are interesting enough. A little problematic when a character dealing with grief is advised to smile because the dead party member would have wanted it. Add to that same scene the distracting action of the comforter shoving the male griever’s face into her breast in what is usually performative sexist comedy but just came of as more awkward than usual due to the grief aspect.

I’m no FF expert, but I guess I was hoping for more FF things? There was a Moogle and a Chocobo at the beginning but then nothing else? They made a big point of say that it’s not FF but rather and FF-like world. Why not just make it FF?

Manga on ikka jube harjumatu asi.

As a diehard fan of Square Enix and any single Game that was released by them, I can't hide my disappointment about this Manga. The best thing about it is the cover art of the released volumes. It feels somewhat like the latest released game of SE - Strangers of Paradise - and which flopped quite hard.
First of all, the artstyle and quality are fitting. Depiction of lively fights is on point such as capturing the scenery of it.
The story as such starts of great. Even though I dislike the isekai-genre as such it is put into a nice catch with the story - to be reborn into a different world. The progression of the story is acceptable, but it feels lacking content-wise and it is definitely not addressed at adults! 100 percent not. This is at most written for teenagers, but not older folks like me who played the very first games of Square Enix. Being 29, gaming since I've been a lil cub, reading and enjoying Manga and anime since 1995 and hell this is hardly relatable. Thus, it's barely enjoyable to experience this story with joy. Overall it feels lacking, gets worse and holds nothing special for you to expect.
Another aspect would be scenery and characters.
In contrast to the story the scenery and setting feel relatable, even though names were changed in comparison to the original ones used in FF-Games. While the different races, places and monsters/creatures are named differently, they resemble completely the original 'FF-ones' - so at least go take a look at the lovely chocobo, I know you want to T.T
Now off to characters. While the MC is an unsociable, Co-dependent coward and gaming addict in his mid 20s, he barely progresses, is reliant on others and gets annoying over time. His sister would have been a way better choice, a lively heroine facing the challenges head on while being enthusiastic about the new world to be explored. This feels hardcore misplaced. Other characters besides MC have different personalities and feel really unique in their behaviour, but unfortunately as everything about this manga, it's just on a superficial and generic level. Even though SE is famous for their legendary characters and a magnificent story telling that has yet to be challenged in the world of gaming - HERE THEY FAILED SO HARD.
Characters and their interactions get boring as they are generic, their interactions and conversations just as much barely hold any weight.
Lastly, I hope that there are still enough people who enjoy this work, after all tastes differ.
To me, who bought the physical volumes in original Japanese, the covers of the volumes were the best thing about this product.
For their next release of a story, I will keep close attention that it ain't will be the same author. The artist has been doing an outstanding job!

I quit reading this book because it didn't commit either way as to whether it wants to be serious or silly. Pick one and stick with it, because that is the only way this story can weak. This was already sto stereotypical that it was clear that the bubbly, constantly positive, super happy and competent little sister full of hope would die. And it looks pretty idiotic as the way this picture shows here the dragon would have needed to bite her at a really weird angle. But anyway, I suspect her death a long time ago. And while I can understand that Shogo might feel guilty about Yuko's death but this blame game by some random stranger (who probably is supposed to be important later on) feels hollow to me. Yuko acted on her own and knew the risks just as much/little as Shogo did. And why does none of their new buddies tell them about the risks? Not to mention that nothing says "I take death seriously in my story" than pressing Shogo's head into two huge boobs. And shortly after they have a happy picknick. Yeah, the allegedly so important death wasn't important after all. So I say again: Either be silly or serious, but this wanting to have it both doesn't work.

Don't even remember purchasing this, but it's a complete waste of money, time and attention. So they slipped a moogle and chocobo into the pages, it doesn't make it a legitimately engaging Final Fantasy story. It's one of those 'boy slips through a portal and ends up in fantasy world' tales, which I absolutely detest.

As a Final Fantasy fan I thought this was going to be amazing. I was wrong. Mediocre at best. Such a shame.

In this manga series, we meet two Japanese young adults who get sucked into a final fantasy world. The book had some fun elements but the plot was very hard to follow and it was a bit convoluted.

I’ll say this, this isn’t the strongest start to a series based on a property like Final Fantasy. This first volume is chaotic and a bit unfocused, depending too much on an awful trope that is pretty sexist. Now that doesn’t mean it was terrible or that the series itself is meant to be sexist, there are some good female characters in the story and I’m personally interested in seeing their growth. Unfortunately, the series starts on a sour note but using the tired story trope of killing off an important female character purely for the growth and motivation of the male protagonist as well as the primary plot motivation of the series. The MC’s sister, who was played out as a second MC, is killed in the first chapter. Thankfully she isn’t just killed meaninglessly but dies saving a little girl’s life. But her death is what starts the journey for the MC and the party of supporting characters on their ultimate goal of rediscovering the healing spell “revival” and sparks the growth of the MC to start taking the world seriously rather than treating it like a game as he had been up to this point.

This first volume is only three chapters, so it doesn’t really have time to develop itself in any meaningful way. But having read volume two before writing this I can say that it does pick up and does start to lock down it’s story a bit more. As a matter of fact, I gave volume one a three stars while I gave volume two a four stars, that’s how much of an improvement there was in story, character development, and world building.

So if you can get through this first volume I can say confidently that the second volume is better and is taking the story into a more enjoyable direction.

Maybe this sort of isekai story would've been more embraced when it came out. But it came out in 2017 and by then the isekai boom had already hit the West anime and manga sphere. It just doesn't seem to hold up today. I feel isekai nowadays has to either cater to your specific storytelling or likes, be amazingly well told, or really be carried by its cast to be anything above average today to a manga reader. And the cast here is just ok. The storytelling is nothing standout. And the focus on Final Fantasy is only so-so considering its purposefully going off from certain FF traditions as the games we've played are treated as fairy tales. So you're left with an average isekai with an average cast with Final Fantasy more as flavorful set dressing so far. Storytelling wise it wants to be super emotional but it just didn't hit that much especially the sister's death. Her death did nothing to me as a reader and I would've preferred her to help alive as she had more interesting dynamics with the party imo.

Shogo Sasaki, a young man with encyclopedic knowledge of the FF series, and his sister Yuko are working at Square Enix in Tokyo when they're magically drawn into an FF world that hasn't yet appeared in a game. Shogo finds out he has the Libra ability, which allows him to see the components that make up things that he sees, but doesn't work at finding the weak points of monsters. It does allow him to do pretty intense research on the world in which he finds himself. We find out, among other things, that Chocobos have smelly drool and Moogle chest tufts feel like dog fur. Shogo and Yuko take up with a party of adventurers, and there's a pretty quick mood shift in that Yuko dies while crossing a cliff. It turns out that the Raise spell is considered legendary in this particular world, but Shogo vows to find it anyway.

This is the first "Isekai" manga that I have read, most were in an anime format and I like most of them. I saw this as an ad from Amazon kindle, which they own Comixology, and I cop it right away. I like the Final Fantasy videogames and the premise of this book made me read it without hesitation. Unlike Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation anime, this story did not develop the main character either in the real world or the alternate world/FF world they were transported to. And like any modern Isekai, the protagonist is transported to the other world after meeting an untimely death.

I will continue reading this series, and I do believe it is only up to 6 collected volumes, or tankenbons.

It was alright. Plothole fantasy into a Final Fantasy-like world for two diehard fans after getting hit by a bus. Good characterization too until they refrigerated the main character's sister halfway through.

I mean, why? This is Final Fantasy. You're better than that.

Sucks even more when they gave the male lead a cool, mythical power but not his sister for zero reasons? They were both from Earth. It makes sense they could both do something.

Plus, she and him had great push and pull. But, hey, at least they got in the unnecessary and exploitative bathing scene featuring the three main female characters (who just met) before she died, right?

[audible eye roll]

You know the story - boy gets perfect job working at his favourite game company with his sister, boy and girl get hit by a truck and end up inside a Final Fantasy world, sister gets eaten by a drago-

Wait a minute.

Yeah, I've never read an isekai before. I get the premise, but this is a brutal first volume. I'm definitely invested. I was surprised how much I got into the adventuring party too; even though most of them are fairly one-note thus far, they're still kind of sweet in their own way. And as an FF fan, the little nods, the twists on the usual mythos, and just the way Shogo reacts to certain things really had me smiling.

A promising beginning to a Final Fantasy manga series. Knowledgeable gamer fan dropped into what at first seems like the world he has been a fan of, but with important differences. The story and setting brought me back to playing FF 14 the mmorpg and I believe that is deliberate. A good bit of fan service to the franchise but with enough variations to keep it interest.

Looking forward to reading other volumes and for anyone who enjoys the storyline of modern person dropped into a video game or final fantasy I would recommend giving it a try.

Isekai isn't my normal genre of choice, but I've been reading a fair amount of it lately and this hits the spot in a hilariously fun way. There are definitely serious moments, even in the first couple of chapters, but I'm so into anything that hits the Final Fantasy 14 button as hard as this does. All the references, and the plot being a genuine banger, makes this something I'm definitely continuing. Would definitely recommend if you're a FFXIV fan, it's different but hits the references perfectly.

Finally! An adult Isekai done right!

This story goes beyond the usual level-up-and-get-strong of an Isekai. It presents a mature story with a protagonist that any adult can relate to.

The story is well made and very well presented; the characters are very inclusive and heartwarming; the art is great, the story is very creative, and the way it will resonate with final fantasy fans is just wonderful!
A must read for any mature final fantasy fan out there.

Isekai is a bane on anime and manga but at least this takes the ‘self-insert with special powers’ trope and does something fun with it. The protagonist isn’t over-powered, and his ‘ability’ is a fun poke at fan-service/ allows for a tonne of Final Fantasy Easter eggs.

This isn’t literary genius by any means but was fun to read, and did tug on the heart strings more than I expected in some moments.

Wow, I was not expecting this manga to be that good. I went in thinking I’d get something similar to World of FF, where it’s mostly nostalgia without substance, but I was hopeful. This manga delivers on stakes and rules, and is not a play for just appeasing fans. It really feels like its own story that subverts expectations and makes you care about these characters. I am 100% sold on this series so far, and I’ll stick with it.

This was pretty good! I'm not usually one for isekai but the big plot twist at the end of chapter one, that this is a final fantasy world where the raise spell is seen as a child's fairy tale and the party loss was seemingly permanent was good. When shogo started combining items with weapons using his libra skill it finally got to proper isekai territory. I'll be reading the next volumes for sure.
