Pacific Northwest author L.L. Frost writes urban fantasy and paranormal romance with snarky characters and descriptive world-building. Whether she's writing a fast burn romance about witches, wolf shifters, and vampires, or teasing a slow burn romance while hunting demonic monsters, her passion is for character driven novels.

Growing up in a rainforest gave L.L. Frost plenty of time to daydream while spending cozy days under a blanket with her cats by her side. Sipping tea or chugging coffee, you can find her with a book or laptop in hand, imagining new worlds.

Limits is the continuation of L.L. Frost’s Succubus Dreams arc in her Succubus Harem serial. Limits follows Adie as she strives to gain more power as fast as she can to regain access to the human plane. She’s on her own as Landon has told her this is something that he can’t help her with, and her demons can’t help her the way that they once could either. Adie is determined to make a way, and to help the humans who are being preyed upon as well.
Limited gives readers a better insight on Dreamland and the Baku that call it home. I was a bit disappointed that it seems that all the Baku sound like they all pretty much look the same. I was hoping that there would be some uniqueness in their individual appearance. I am proud of the way that Adie is growing stronger, and that she’s willing to fight to keep what she has managed to claim. It shows that she’s growing and I like that she’s not sitting around pouting or feeling sorry for herself either. There are some interesting twists in this book, and the pages go by quickly!
This installment focuses almost entirely on Adie without much else from the other characters that we have come to know. I like that we do get some of the side characters, and the baku demons I feel are fun. Things are really coming together and I’m eager to see if there is going to be an epic showdown coming in one of the future installments for this series.
I am rating this particular installment 4.5 out of 5 stars. There are a couple minor editorial/spelling errors in this book, but they aren’t so bad that they detract/distract from the overall storyline. The ending, while it’s a cliffhanger of sorts, it’s a bit anti-climactic. I was expecting something a bit more exciting, so that was a bit of a let-down after the majority of the story being more interesting. If you’ve read the series/serial to this point…don’t stop now! Keep going!

Whoa

So that had a hell of an interesting development. Now it looks like Adie doesn't have to stay in Dreamland for centuries. The way she figured it out was killer. Oh what a web Adie has managed to weave. She's also got Reese and the others helping out with this Dreamer problem and she's even got the baku fired up.

Granted, she's looking like a nightmare herself. I hoped she fixed that before going home.

When we last left her Adie was in the demon plane sucking up energy through the ley lines. Once she had enough energy to turn into a proper demon she was a succubus on a mission. She needed to destroy the threat of the eggs and nightmare monsters in Dreamland and get back to her Chaos Demons.

I loved this episode DESPITE the fact Adie was still separated from her demons. I would have never thought that was possible. But it was so funny. I found myself giggling throughout the entire book. I wish I could talk about the Adeline Boo Pond Reality Season and Team BBBB without spoilers but I can't, so you will have to read about them yourself. It was also like the rewind and fast forward buttons were hit on this season as well. Memories and plans. Adie was on a roll. I loved the look into her past and loved her cleverness in the present to make a save for the future. Now I am so looking forward to October. I want to return to the backyard!

Sugar AND Spice

Adie has always been sweet and too nice compared to other demons. In this installment, however, Adie has a lot more spice to go with the sugar. She is determined to return to her life among the humans with her bakery, friends, and guys. I loved seeing a more fierce version of her and I hope her plan to stop the dream monsters works!

Fantastically confusing, but fulfilling

This was a great chapter! It was so crazy and confusing for Adie, the Baku and Reese! I loved it. The whole timeline thing was awesome and Jimboba and the BBBB were hilarious!
This is such a great series! I look forward to it every month! Can’t wait for October!

This one was interesting. I enjoy seeing her "solving" things on her own - even though it wasnt the best choice. I'm glad with the evolution there was a bit of confusion as far as the ley lines but it cleared up as it progressed. Seeing her be violent in this one was actually pretty cool and I love what Frost did with the wing difference in regards to that.

BBBB!

Adie is finally making strides in the right direction to take the big bad monster down. With hopefully enough energy and time she can come back to the human realm. Definitely can’t wait to see what happens next

Love this series

This is an unusual episode as Adie is on her own and meeting new friends. I love her determination to do things the way she believes they should be done. Can't wait for next month to see what happens next.

This one was interesting. I’m still unsure how Adie is complete while her other form is broken. Or how she will merge with her original body. I just hope that she’s grown up and learned a bit since being in Dreamland.
