A dark country road leads newly-graduated Ashlyn Davis to the site of a terrible accident and the side of a dying man. Braving a storm and her total lack of internet or emergency training, she stays with him until help arrives. Under the blood and broken bones, her rescue is hot as hell—and twice as forbidden. As the Vice President of the Storm Crows MC, Joker is danger personified, but Ash forges a friendship with him and finds the steadiness she desperately needs in the unlikeliest of places.

But the danger that nearly killed Joker is far from over, and Ash brings her own brand of trouble. Can their friendship ever become something more? Or will danger—or death—keep them apart?

I liked most of it, but some parts was confusing had re-read parts again and again (wasn’t the only one who noticed this) probably not going to read the series anytime soon…sorry!!
Good bits: -Kevlar Jeans…smart!! & Kraken Rum Mmmmm yummm🥃
-Ash tells Joker/Nate it’s ok to look at her boobs to try keep him conscious
-Bonnie the grandma was awesome!!
-Biker Girlfriends For Dummies book😂
I enjoyed most of her inner thoughts/thought process😎

Tidbits😄:
💋“A girl's gotta have her fun while she's young enough to survive it.”
😈“Get your warpaint on, brat. We’ll find you a rebound yet.
He'll be awful in bed and have the brains of a water buffalo, just the way you like ‘em.”
🧱 “If I hit her with a brick, will that make her stop being a morning person?”
🤪 “flavour of crazy”- I like this!!😈

Time for the Thumnderdome names …lol:
Joker, Ash, Grim, Legs, Tree, Ice,Dragon, BooBoo - the medic…lol, Frog, Case, Grease, Skull, Fluffy, Ariel, Two-Bit, Geiger, Spider, Blackie, Jingle, Shade, Mud, Drifter, Huck, Gunner, Rat, Chainz, Blaze, Ripper/Bullet, Owl, Goliath, Mayhem, Saber

Poor Ice & Hailey 🪦🥀

💙🖤💙Now this is Love:
“You remind me there are good people in the world, who don’t leave even a stranger to die in the cold. You saw I was hurting, when I barely understood it. You held my hand and didn’t call it weak. So, wake up, Ash. Wake up and still be you. Ask me for help, I’m with you. Cry, I’ll find out why. I may never understand your damn TV shows, but I will never, ever let you forget what’s real. I’m real. And I’m here until you tell me to go.
Don’t tell me to go.”💚🤎💚

Ash is trying something new. Something not involving her mother. But she never expected an injured and dying man on the side of the road would be her salvation.
Broken Wings is first in Allegra Grey and Emily Sloan’s Storm Crows MC series. I enjoyed meeting Ash and Joker. Ash was so chill. She stepped into a world she didn’t understand with barely a misstep. The booze, the parties, the violence didn’t seem to faze her. Was it too easy for her?
Joker couldn’t have a nameless descriptive of who he is. Grumpy would have been a better fit. But with Ash Joker blossomed. I love that Ms. Grey and Ms. Sloan showed Joker finding his center with Ash. Even though he knew she was hiding secrets…big ones, she lightened his soul. I enjoyed seeing Ash and Joker as unlikely friends morph into more.
I thoroughly enjoyed this story by Ms. Grey and Ms. Sloan. There were unexpected twists and turns in this world they are creating. Danger surrounds Joker and Ash. Trust could lead to death but also a love forged with fire. I enjoyed this world they have created and look forward to where Ms. Grey and Ms. Sloan will take us next.

*I received a copy via Net-Galley in exchange for an honest review*

Broken Wings has a nice writing style and it's easy to read. I don't think there is anything terribly wrong with this book but it felt pretty basic and not anything super memorable. Joker and Ashlyns relationship was lacking some spark for me. At the beginning I really enjoyed them together but it seemed to sizzle out in the middle.

I don't want to spoil anything in the story either so I will just say there were a few things in the plot I didn't think needed to be there. It started to feel pretty long after certain events.

Overall it was a decent read and I would check out more by these authors in the future!

I'm not a big romance reader but the narration and personalities of the two main characters really kept me entranced. I was rooting for them to get together by chapter two. I like that the characters in the books aren't perfect. Definitely a romance novel but with enough plot to keep me happy. Highly recommend.

Broken Wings by Allegra Grey & Emily Sloan is book one in the Storm Crows MC series. The book focuses on the characters Ashlyn and Joker. Ashlyn comes across Joker one night at the site of a terrible accident in which Joker is hurt. She decides to stay with him to give him comfort which in turn allows her to step into a world which is definitely out of her comfort zone but opens up a whole new world of possibilities.

Joker is dangerous, being the VP of the Storm Crows he lives a hard life which is very different from Ashlyn’s, but there is something about his rescuer that calls to him, even if he is stubborn to begin with on his feelings for her. The dynamic with these two characters was great as they both come from different worlds but have a great connection, Ashlyn with her fragility and vulnerability but an inner strength and Joker with his harshness but unshakeable belief in Ashlyn. Together, they make a great couple!

Overall, this was a really good story into a new series, with twist and turns, some drama and some steam! A great addition to the MC genre.

ARC received for a fair, honest and sometimes long review. All opinions are my own. 😊

This is one of the most well planned, researched and well thought out books I have read in some time. The Characters are engaging and endearing. You want to know what happens and it is easy to root for them. I like that that they touch on deeper topics and treat them with respect. So good. Highly recommend.

Broken Wings

Joker and Ashlyn's story has them both suffering from their own past experience but with the MC getting attacked and Ash getting kidnapped and some other thing going on they will need to have each others back to get their heart together. The story was a good emotional one that has all the drama, danger, suspence, violence, death that will keep you reading

joker and Ash

I really liked Ashlyn and her funny ideas, sassy back chat and caring nature. Joker did his best to fight the attraction but you can’t ignore your fate for ever.
His club is at war with a rival club and she gets caught up in it thanks to a bitter club girl, her family doesn’t help.
So much happens

This book wasn't what I expected. It seemed confusing. I skipped pages with long drawn-out conversations. Ariel was the devil's spawn. I didn't enjoy it enough to want to read another one of their books.

Welcome to an organized biker society! There are a lot of good things going on with this book. I'm definitely glad there was some character building in the beginning, and hoping that there will be more on the other characters in any new books to come. Particularly, Grimm or Travis. I really want to know more about Travis!

Wow, this book was unexpectedly great. New authors for me and whilst a trope I like (who doesn’t love a bad boy MC!) you never know how these things will go.

Well it went…

Emotional and dynamic, this book takes you in rather a rollercoaster journey. A lot of world building and introductions to supporting characters goes on but still the core of the book, being Joker and Ash and their relationship.

I loved Joker, wow when he fell it was epic. His feelings and how comfortable he became with him (after the standard denial of course..) were so beautiful to read, he was Ash’s biggest champion, even when she wasn’t her own. He just saw right into the heart of her .
Ash was a contradiction walking really. Actually super strong, she was emotionally fragile but knew what she wanted, even when she didn’t seem to deserve it.

There were parts of this story that didn’t always make sense, introduced elements that were odd and conversations that I had to re-read a couple do times to grasp who was actually saying what, but despite this I actually really enjoyed this book.

Looking forward to the next instalment

A big thank you to NetGalley and Evernight Publishing for the eARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. This is the first in a series, but it doesn't read this way. There is a lot of backstory missing in my opinion. Ashlyn comes across Nathan (Joker) after a bad motorcycle accident. She essentially saves his life. I liked their chemistry, but I am not sure I understood everything. I am not a big motorcycle club reader. 3 stars

Good book

This book was the first book that I have read by these authors. The characters were good and so was the plot. Lots of twists and turns plus action and romance. I hope that there will be additional books with other characters from the story.
