I live in a state shaped like a mitten.

The constant support of my family, pets, friends, and even complete strangers, is what drives me to succeed in art. Thank you everyone, because of you, I am what I am.

This is utterly hilarious and I would love more Avengers content like this please and thank you. ☺️ Black Widow basically forces the Avengers to take a day off. She may or may not regret this decision when chaos ensues.

I loved these random team ups! Thor and Ant-Man were hilarious, and I gotta say I’m with Captain America in not knowing how to deal with six year olds, though I’d probably do a bit better then he did at first, lol. Teaming him up with Squirrel Girl was a very unique choice and even though I know nothing about her I must say I think a whole book or comic with her as the MC would drive me bonkers, haha! So while I won’t be checking out any of her solo stories she was fun to pair up with Cap. And the last one was with Captain Marvel and Doctor Strange who I was happy to see star in this as he’s one of my favorite MCU characters and poor Carol being frustrated over not getting lunch was too funny. All of them were such fun and I loved how all the stories were tied together by the end and that other Avengers popped up every now and then as they all try to take a break to no avail.

The art style was great—very clean and bright with great characterization of everyone, though I did think Doctor Strange looked a little funky a couple times. Otherwise it was wonderful to look at and best of all it wasn’t melting graffiti! (See my review of the first in this series, The New Danger, for more details on that 😉)

This volume has no direct ties to the first four and can be read as a standalone which I highly recommend if you like the Avengers and mixed up team ups that end in hilarity. Such fun that I will definitely read again!

‼️Content‼️

Language: OMG; what the; gah

Violence: fighting with superpowers, weapons, and hand to hand (PG); characters get thrown against and stuck to walls

Other: superheroes, supervillains, and superpowers; magic; magical objects; objects are overgrown and made animated

Black Widow tells the other Avengers that HR has ordered all of them to take a day off. Some of the superheroes aren't sure what to do with a day off. Thor accidentally knocks a ceramic keepsake of Black Widow's off the table and breaks it, so Ant-Man helps him go antiquing to find a replacement and of course they run into Loki at the market. Captain America decides to do presentations at a school about safety and Squirrel Girl helps him out while a teacher with unattained goals creates a sticky situation. Dr. Strange was getting some puppy time when a White Rabbit lady steals his cloak and Captain Marvel has to help him catch them, which is quite upsetting as it is keeping her from her favorite lunch.

This was the funniest collection of Avengers adventures in the whole Marvel Action collection. It is quite funny to watch these workaholics struggle to find a way to spend their free time, or see the things they can get swept up in when they aren't actively trying to fight crime. Squirrel Girl helping Captain America at the school was the best (and the inept Paste Pot Pete turned Elmer's glue wielding villain who the kids love as a 5th grade teacher is pretty funny). If you only pick up one of the Marvel Action books, make it this one. It's a lot of fun.

Notes on content: No language issues. No sexual content. Ill intent is evident, but it takes the form of glue being shot across the room or animated giant ceramic dolls.

A fun book. Consists of 3 different standalone stories. My favourite though, has to be the one where Thor and Scott Lang go to the flee market to find a little porcelain doll.
