Ji’nyah didn’t know how to deal with her world being turned upside down by a man.

From separate worlds, Ji’nyah and Beau Ty must work together to find their Happily Ever After or forever be apart.

Normally I suspend belief when I read a paranormal but Beau Ty took it another step out there. Ji’nyah is a shifter with a problem but Beauregard Tyson/Beau Ty, or Beauty as his family calls him, sees past it – if he even sees it as a problem at all. I found Beau Ty’s blindness, when it comes to Ji’nyah’s illness/problem, a bit hard to believe but I loved that he was so taken with her. Good story, a new take on shifters for me, and a quick read.

Contains SPOILERS!

This was a different take on an interracial/multicultural Paranormal romance.  Ji'nyah is a seven foot, wolf shifter caught in her half wolf, half human state because she suffered from antishifteritis. Her head and arms were in wolf form while the rest of her body took on her human form.  She could shift fully into a wolf but couldn't shift into her human form.  She is also Alpha of her clan which consists of different forms of shapeshifers though we weren't told which shifters made up her clan.

Beau Ty was a human male  whose name was Beauregard Tyson Raleigh and called Beauty by his cousins.  His Uncle Bentley raised Beau Ty and his cousins, Blaze and Buck, after their parents died.  They all lived in the town of One Step. Uncle Bentley put the ‘Con’ in ‘Conspiracy Nut’..  His latest theory was that there were animal people who lived in the mountains on an animal preserve.  Usually no one in town believed Uncle Bentley but this time he was right and set out to prove it.

After his uncle went missing, it fell upon Beau Ty to find him.  Uncle Bentley had been caught by members of Ji'nyah's clan.  Beau Ty is also captured.  Ji'nyah immediately knew that Beau Ty was her mate who could cure her antishifteritis.  They made a deal to release Uncle Bentley and Beau Ty would stay behind.  As Beau Ty and Ji'nyah spend time together, he believes that he is Ji'nyah's mate.  What happens when Beau Ty touch and kiss Ji'nyah?

Uncle Bentley finally met someone who believed him, a reporter. He took the reporter to where he could take pictures, which he did.  Are the pictures printed in the newspaper?  If so, what story did Beau Ty tell the reporter which surpassed the story of animal people?

Sex didn't enter the book until 70% but was too graphic and not sensual at all.  Though the book was an ARC, there were formatting problems and lots of grammatical errors.  Hopefully all should be corrected by the time the book is published.  There were interesting secondary characters,  Beau Ty's cousins Blaze and Buck as well as Ji'nyah redheaded cousin, Twyla,  who was also the club's Beta.  There was not enough backstory, however, I would love to read a book about Reyna and Blaze.  The ending was too abrupt, but we were told that Ji'nyah and Beau Ty lived happily ever after.

I received Beau Ty by Donna Mercer as an Arc for an honest review

Does anyone know how hard it is to search for this title? Amazon's search comes up with everything Beauty, so I ended up seaching for the author Donna Mercer.

Beauty is the nickname for this model. His brothers call him Beauty, but his girlfriend prefers Beau Ty. I agree with Ji'nyah. Personally, her name is worse than his, if you sit and really pronounce it out. The only real thing I can say about the story and it's characters is crazy. The characters are crazy. The plot is crazy. The relationship and weird shifter stuff that goes on is crazy. I'm glad this is a short story; because the only good thing about it is something I could laugh at.

An interesting reversal of Beauty and the Beast.

Ji’nyah, alpha wolf shifter, encounters Beau Ty, male fashion model, when he comes to rescue his Uncle Bentley. As the story progresses a friendship develops with a chance for more if they can overcome the multiple hurdles in their way. Donna Mercer’s Beau Ty: Happily Ever After was an interesting reversal of Beauty and the Beast. I am interested in checking out other titles in the series.

I received a free copy of the book from the author via Booksprout. I had the opportunity to review or not.
