To Become One

Rate this book
Newly married couples often settle for the level of intimacy they reach during the first few months. The tendency is to hold back part of who they are instead of continually giving themselves completely. To Become One serves as a guide primarily for the first year of marriage, helping identify stumbling blocks, issue challenges that will help cultivate intimacy and provide a foundation of interactive study, prayer and communication starters.

Encouraging, practical, and honest book on marriage by two men who have clearly spent ample time praying and reflecting on their own journeys. Books with two authors can sometimes be hard to follow or connect to and Seay and Karger did a great job of combining their voices and stories as they collectively shared on important topics in marriage. The addition of their wives’ perspectives throughout was also a beautiful and thoughtful touch. This book is not just for the soon-to-married and encouraged me almost eight years in on my own marriage adventure.

First of all, I love Chris Seay! I went to Ecclesia church for years and love the people there! I had a friend that told me that after she finished reading this book, she met the man who is now her husband. She sent me the book with a prayer... :) very cool I know... very cool sister (I brought her to that church btw). Now, that was a few years ago and I have remained single so it did not work for me like she hoped lol! But it was a good read nevertheless. :) I am happy being single but anyway maybe it solidified my resolve to not settle for less than an awesome best friend that's nice on the eyes as well as the heart. Anyway. good book Chris! Love you man!
