I did get a lot out of this book, but definitely not perfect. It's a bit outdated now, so I'll have to look to see if there's another book that goes past 2009. The author isn't salvadoran - it does seem like he's done his research and gives good recommendations about some relevant salvadoran authors, figures, films, etc., but I still feel like that should be noted. Some of the terminology was also outdated (since it was published a bit ago), but definitely wouldn't be seeing people today use them. Got this for christmas from my dad, glad I got the chance to read it.
