I am new to writing romance, though I have written professionally in the media world for over 15 years. My first published novel, Searching for Honor, went to #1 on the entire Amazon KindleWorlds network and held the position for three weeks.

When I'm not writing I am spending most of my time with family. With two children and two grandchildren my life is hopping.

I just celebrated my 40th wedding anniversary.

Wounded Falcon was a fun read that includes characters from a few book series crossovers; familiar faces show up from Jesse’s series, as well as Elle James’ Brotherhood Protector Series and Susan Stoker’s Special Forces Operation Alpha Series. Jesse does a good job of bringing them all together in this action-packed, suspenseful story.

If you follow the Rainhorse series, then FBI Agent Jim Andrews will be familiar to you as well. He first appeared in Guardian Ranger (Jesse’s addition to the BH Protector Series) where here meets Rainhorse for the first time. Then he continually has appearances in the rest of the series where he plays a part in aiding Rainhorse and Lindsey at different pivotal moments throughout the other reads. If you want to enjoy the series in order it goes as follows: Guardian Ranger, Rainhorse, Rainhorse Returns, A Good Samaritan, Long Ghost and then this new addition, Wounded Falcon.

FBI Agent Andrews always made a strong side character and assisted with the investigative aspects in certain instances in the previous books in this series so it was nice to actually learn more about him and what he stands for, as well as having him appear as one of the main characters in his own story and find his own HEA.

FBI Agent Julie Love (Jesse’s Honor series in Stoker’s SF: Operation Alpha series) from the Office of Professional Responsibility has been tasked, by the FBI Director himself, with the assignment to get to the bottom of the possible collusion and misconduct by Agent Andrews on previous FBI cases involving the notorious Rainhorse. She is brazen and tenacious and takes her job very seriously. She always gets her man and she intends to get to the bottom of the accusations against Agent Andrews whatever the cost.

FBI Agent Jim Andrews is considered a ‘cowboy’ in the field. He is a risk-taker and rule-breaker but follows his gut and does what he thinks is right and he gets results. Unbeknownst it to him, his past assignments that have involved Rainhorse sightings have come under scrutiny at the highest level. Big shots are gunning for him and will use whatever means at their disposal to discredit and damage his reputation and possibly even end his life. When Agent Love shows up nosing around and the two of them end up in the middle of the conspiracy seeking the truth behind the cover-up, things being spiraling out of control. Sparks fly between Andrews and Love as they search for the truth of Wounded Falcon in order to save their lives. On the run, with no one to trust, Andrews turns to an old friend to get the answers he needs to keep both himself and Agent Love alive. Will the gamble pay off in their favor or will the decision bring forth deadly consequences?

I really enjoyed these characters and storyline of this read. It is a great addition to the Rainhorse series and falls right in line with the other stories. There is plenty of action, suspense, some romance, several twists and turns, and a few surprise appearances by characters attached to other authors’ series, including Axel Svenson (Swede) from Elle James’ Bride Protector SEAL. And I absolutely loved the ending! Very fitting for Andrews and Love’s HEA.

Wounded Falcon: Brotherhood Protectors World: A Rainhorse novel is by Jesse Jacobson. This novel looks at Special Agent Jim Andrews who has been involved with Rainhorse since Lindsay Vanderbilt’s kidnapping.
Special Agent Jim Andrews was at the scene of a hostage situation. A man was holding his daughter hostage because he was losing custody and visitation rights for her. Jim noted the man’s history was not violent and that he was a veteran who had been discharged for PTSD. Jim stepped in as hostage negotiator when the negotiator was not there. He walked up to the porch and sat in the swing while the man inside had his gun aimed at Jim through the window. They talked and Jim talked the man into giving up before it became impossible for him to do so. Ironically, his gun was not even loaded. Agent Julie Love was there from DC and watched him. Later she talked to him about what he had done and why. She was there to investigate him for collusion with Rainhorse to let him go after being specifically told to capture him. For Jim, that would be going against the agreement they had with Rainhorse so she had refused. Now the Director was out to get him and was using Julie Love to do so.
What could she do to keep Director Rice from harming Jim when she knows Jim is innocent of all talk of collusion and letting Rainhorse go? What does Wounded Falcon mean? Obviously it means something to Director Rice; but no one knows what it was. How will Jim get out of this mess?

Another amazing book by Jesse Jacobson and a fantastic add to the Rainhorse series. This time we have the man at the heart of it all.........Agent Jim Andrews. The man who organised everything for Lindsay and Rainhorse. Agent Love is the person sent to investigate him but she soon finds out that all is not what it seems. Wounded Falcon is a top secret mission that was orchestrated by the top FBI brass and after a few deaths Agent Love starts to piece things together but puts heir lives in danger. The help of a friend and a few clicks on YouTube starts the process but with SWAT having the orders to shoot without prejudice will Andrews and Love survive the whole sordid affair?????? I loved this book. It was fantastic to read about Agent Andrews after all this time, to see what made him tick, to see him fall for a woman and to hear a backstory on why he reacted the way he did sometimes. I don’t think this could be anymore perfect for him. It held my interest from the first page through to the end. I was on the edge of my seat with my heart in my mouth during one scene wondering if anybody would come out alive. So good and hopefully there will be more.

I received this ARC for an honest review

This is the 6th installment in the Rainhorse series.

This is another great read by this author. Again I am surprised by  how good the story continues to be.

This is the story of Special Agent Jim Andrew's and Special Agent Julie Love.

Special Agent Love from the Office of Professional Responsibility is investigating Agent Andrew's  as directed by her superiors.

Whilst investigating him she inadvertently stumbles into something. Something that will get her and Agent Andrews hunted and killed by the very men who want her to bring Agent Andrews down.

And the very man and his cohort she is investigating are the same people she has to rely on to keep her alive.

Awesome read, I don't know how Ms Jacobson keeps coming up with these  great stories. From the get go your thrown in to the story. And when Rainhorse makes an appearance you're riveted and cannot out it down

I received this late afternoon and finished it the same night that's how good this story is.

5 * read

Jesse did it again! This is the story of Agent Jim Andrews and Agent Julie Love. We know Jim from the help he gave Rainhorse and Lindsey in other Rainhorse books. In this book we learn more about Jim and what he stands for. He is being accused of collusion and misconduct involving Rainhorse enter Agent Julie Love. This book has plenty of action, suspense, and twists and turns and some surprises. Brotherhood Protectors get involved also. This book has a great ending and is a great addition to the Rainhorse series! Jesse hit it out of the ballpark with this one! Can't wait to see where she takes us next in the Rainhorse series. I received this book for an honest review.

This one hits it out of the park. The story is a page turner with great characters, dialoge and plot line. We've seen FBI Agent Jim Andrews in most if not all of the Rainhorse books as a secondary character. Here, we get to know him and gain insite into his character. Agent Julie Love is intellegent and witty and the perfect character to partner with him. Questions left from earlier books are answered with help from the Brotherhood Protectors and a certain former assassin we all know and love. Wounded Falcon is a thrilling read. Enjoy!

Loved reading Jim's story! Jim works for the FBI and is being investigated by Julie who is also FBI. When Julie realizes that Jim is being set up the two end up working together. Lots of action and plenty of steam with great chemistry. Rainhorse also enters the story as things heat up. This was another great story which works well within the Brotherhood Protectors world by Elle James and Susan Stoker's Special Forces series! Lots of secondary characters that if you read any of these books you will recognize. Loved it!!

Great Read

Agent Julie Love was sent to investigate Jim Andrews. She watched as he handled a hostage situation. It didn't take her long to figure out she was sent on a mission where someone had an alerter motive. She knew Jim was clean. Now together they need to find out how high the corruption goes. Also.find a little time for romance.

The initial chapter of this book was well done, but it left you wanting to know more about the secondary characters than the protagonist. Additionally, this book is truly not a stand-alone. Too much plot-explanation needed. Moreover, there is a central character who is Native American. The juvenileness of his dialogue should be an embarrassment to the author.
