OVER THINKING: DECLUTTER YOUR MIND, OVERCOME NEGATIVITY. CREATE ATOMIC HABITS TO STOP WORRYING. MANAGE STRESS, ANXIETY, AND DEPRESSION. IMPROVE YOUR BRAIN, SOCIAL INTELLIGENCE AND SELF-CONFIDENCE
Do you want to declutter your mind, overcome negativity? Are you ready to create atomic habits to stop worrying, manage stress, anxiety, and depression? If yes, then keep reading… Overthinking as its name suggests is thinking too much and long about an anxiety-inducing occurrence, usually but not always a negative experience of some kind (e.g. past mistake, current concern or future outcome). Do you find it hard to shut down your racing mind? Do you feel fatigued and troubled because of your thoughts? If so, you are likely an acute overthinker. Today, overthinking is an international epidemic, since we live in difficult and demanding times that require so much mental capacity from us to function and succeed in. Adult responsibilities, money, mental trauma, and other problems leave our minds active 24/7. Everyone automatically overthinks from time to time due to the hectic and demanding nature of modern life (e.g. Mortgage, career expectations, children, finances, etc). With that being said, there comes a point when everything, especially future decisions, can lead to unknown anxiety and negative outcomes; at which point, doing nothing is preferable to taking a risk and facing the unknown consequences of your decisions. At this point, overthinking becomes a problem. The next question is how to assess and solve the unconscious problem of overthinking. Firstly, it's important to understand what causes overthinking. Beyond mental issues such as depression and anxiety, other contributing factors include experiencing childhood abuse, neglect, a traumatic event, being a perfectionist, having a genetic predisposition, and introversion. As a hardcore overthinker and someone with anxiety this book has been a godsend. This has helped me organize my thoughts and make them make more sense. The author makes a point of saying only focus on the things you can change, and learn to let go of the things outside your control. And this may seem obvious to a lot of people, but to a chronic overthinker, this was my lightbulb lighting up moment. I would recommend this book to anyone with trouble overthinking or overanalyzing.
I am an overthinker, i of÷rthink everything and it makes me anxious. This book had some excellent ideas on how to calm your brain when overthinking. My favorite was focusing on the present. By focusing on the now, i can't overthink the choices i made before. Great book
This book is really interesting. It will take you in depth into the mind of an over thinker. If you stuggle with anxiety or depression, learning to categorize and control your thinking can help.
Being an overthinker can make for a stressful existence. It makes it hard for me to enjoy TV shows and movies, because I notice all of the inconsistencies. I am hopeful that the techniques from this book will help.
