6 books2 followersPavel Vladimirovich Klushantsev (Russian: Па́вел Влади́мирович Клуша́нцев) was a Russian cameraman of higher category (1939), film director, producer, screenwriter and author who worked during the Soviet Era. He was a Meritorious Artist of Russia (1970).
He combined popular science cinema with science fiction, laying the foundation for the genre of Russian science fiction film essay.
As a child, he dreamed of becoming a writer, but he was forced, living in a communal apartment with his mother, to earn a living by making and selling chess. For this he built a lathe on his own. By the time he graduated from school, he abandoned the idea of becoming a writer and tried to enter the Technological Institute, but did not qualify for the competition and entered the Leningrad Film Technical School. After graduating from the camera department of the Leningrad Film Technical School in 1930, Pavel Klushantsev was assigned to the Belgoskino film studio, where he worked for four years as a cameraman. Subsequently, he moved to Lenfilm, where in 1935 he made his debut as a production director (the film Seven Barriers) and in 1937 founded a combined filming workshop. Книжка за всички онези все още непораснали изследователи, които мечтаят някой ден да стъпят на Марс. Комбинирайки чисто научни факти с фантастични измислици, авторът създава една доста приятна история за малките читатели, които растат в години, когато изследването на Космоса е в началото на своя подем.
