My magic runs ice cold.

I am Judgement.

I’ve gone from human to witch…to now Coven member. It’s amazing, awesome, and entirely overwhelming. I’m scared out of my mind right now. I shouldn’t be, I know that. I finally have real magic. I have elemental magic. I have ice at my fingertips and its the deadliest weapon I’ve ever seen.

But now I can’t run from Joseph. I have power and with that comes responsibility. Our war is getting more dangerous by the day and now I have to face him head on.

The Frozen Witch takes a chilly turn for this sharp-witted heroine and swoon-worthy hero. Their epic rollercoaster romance set inside a magical academy is only just getting started! Fans of The Mortal Instruments, Twilight, or Harry Potter will love Chandelle LaVaun’s brand new urban fantasy series!

***** 5 Pink Glittering Stars*****

Another amazing edition to the awesomeness that is The Coven series by Chandelle LaVaun. I honestly don't know how she does it, eleven books in and not one of them has been a let down. All of them full of crazy action and adventures, so many wonderful characters in a magical world. This is by far one of my favorite all time series.

Absolutely recommend!!!

Omg this book was so unbelievably awesome. I’ve cried like a baby , laughed so hard I’ve had tears. B is a badass Queen and she’s proven that time and time again. Jackson’s family is awesome especially his mom and granny I loved their characters. I can’t wait for more to come.

I swear Chandelle is trying to kill me. I'm not even going to lie, I have such high expectations for this series/book. And once again she has blown me away. I mean my gosh, the romance, the drama the epic fight scenes. This book has it all. One of the things I seriously loved about this book is all the character growth. And can we talk about the plot progression. Everything happens so organically, nothing felt forced in this book. Yes, Joseph is still at it. He is causing so much death and destruction even towards the human and seems to always be one step ahead of our team. Almost as if he had someone in the inside. There is definitely a betrayal, One I at least didn't see coming. If you know Chandelle you know she loves her twist and turns and boy do you get a lot. Side note Bettina is such a badass in this book. She has grown into her powers so much and I live for her friendship with Tegan. But Tegan and her stunts nearly gave me a heart attack in this book, poor Tenn. One another note, Jackson just finished one mission to be sent on another to find our tower and location of his soulmate while the others are in Eden fighting. There is one scene in this book that really made me tear up not going to lie. I truly can't wait until December to find out what happens next in their epic journey.

I received this book an an Arc for my honest opinion.

If I could give this book a million stars, I would in a heartbeat. Chandelle just keeps getting better and better! I've been in love with the Coven since the start, and this new instalment will NOT DISAPPOINT! It had everything, and the writing is absolutely flawless. Chandelle is up there with the greats of writers in my opinion. The story has all the emotions, the characters are stunning and the world we're thrust into has so much adventure that you will definitely read this book in a day! I have no words for how much this story is fantastic. Epic! The story starts right where we're left off in book 3 and that ending... You'll be hanging for the next book. Chandelle has out done herself with this series and this book will make you laugh, cry and scream! Love love love!

I received an arc for an honest review

So that just happened. Jackson completed his mission for the Archangel Michael. Bettina and him are back in Eden where she's finally a full fledged member of the Coven now that she has her mark. Joseph has amped up his attacks on not only the Arcane but also the humans around. The question becomes how to stop him and why does he seem to be two steps ahead of them.
The action keeps ramping up with each book. The induction of new characters is flawless, everything just flows together seamlessly that you want more from all of them not just your favorites. After I finish one book, I get a serious book hangover that I can't wait for the next adventure to begin.

I do have to say every book in the series so far really needs some major editing. There were a lot of grammar and spelling errors. That being said I really love this series. I oopsed and read Bettina's books first. It wasn't too confusing but made a lot more sense after reading Tegan's books. Even with editing issues, it didn't take away from the story lines. I really wish Emerson's books were a little longer though. This is a must series to read!!!

Broke my brain

Another good one. I liked seeing more of Bettina and Tegans friendship. I'm not gonna lie, the first chapter while interesting was Meh to start after the last books ending. So I FF'd to the last two chapters, usually the juicy stuff happens right at the end and low and behold B finally gets her soulmate glyph in the last few pages, . A lot is going on through out the book. It's another fast paced book while defending against Joseph but at the same time not a lot happens. The biggest plots were Tenn has Michael's sword on loan, B's spell master Jr in the making, they discovered Trey is a spy, and B gets her soulmate glyph. Disappointed we didn't learn anything new about Joseph other than the obvious magical vampirism. Perhaps there will be a huge discovery with in the treasure chest B took (the missing locket) at the beginning of the next book? Seems like important plot to flesh out or at least drop a hints to lead up to the last book in the series but maybe that's just me needing clues to suss out. Regardless, I definitely recommend the book as B, Jackson, Tegan, and Tenn are great lots of funny bits and heartache. B is really starting to come into her own and her confidence and skills keep growing. She's finally going to get her guy. I'm Hope-ful (pun intended) she'll get a brother too. Can't wait for the next book.

The Frozen Witch (The Coven: Academy Magic Book 4)
By: Chandelle LaVaun 5 Stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

******** May Contain Some Spoilers ********

I will try my absolute best to keep spoilers to a minimum or completely out of my review. Sometimes it can be hard to do so.

Wow this was an emotional rollercoaster. More fighting between the Coven and Joseph. Somehow Joseph knows everything the Coven is doing. There is a trader among the Coven. Even with Jackson having a soulmate, he & Tina spend time together. Jackson is sent on a mission to locate his soulmate and get her to safety. Jackson has to also see if the coma girl is the tower card. I absolutely lost it when Tina finds out about Jackson's mission. I cried while reading that whole chapter. Oh, some craziness goes down with Saffie. I didn't see that twist coming.

If you like a book full of gripping battles, intense emotions, magic, mystery and unbound fantasy then look no further than “The Coven Academy” series books. Chandelle LaVaun will take you away from your reality and invaded your world with characters full of life and vitality in a world you won’t question that it’s hard to remember its not your own. I love this group and the love story that runs alongside it, which once again bought me to my knees. My husband thought I was crazy as I cried and cried as my hopefulness continued to turn to heartache for my favourite characters in this series. Each book gives me more questions than answers as more and more things are revealed. Chandelle LaVaun certainly has no intention of letting go of her readers with her impenetrable, storylines and striking strong, distinct & unrestrained imagination with a pen full of wonderful powerful descriptive & emotional phraseology. Now once again I’m desperate for the next book in this fantastical series.

Seriously this one of the most amazing and completely addicting books/ series ever!! This is the fourth book in Jackson and Bettina's story and still just gets better and better with every new book. I absolutely love this authors writing style and the world she built with every single character will have you hooked from the very first page and not let you go. I was so excited to be able to read this book to see if we get some of the answers that everyone is desperate to know and to see what was going to happen to the coven, family and friends. This one definitely had my emotions all over and one I could not get enough of. Now I am anxiously waiting for the next book to find out what's going to happen with them next. Just absolutely freaking amazing story!!

I loved this book! Jackson and Bettina.. sigh
Lots of action and we get to see Lancaster’s family home
I don’t cry often in books but the letter to Bettina from Jackson almost made me what to slam the book down.
A few people said cliffhanger but to me it was fantastic because I got what I wanted to happen and I get to see more in the next book. Also you get to see Tegan and Tenn often in the book. Poor Tenn and his worry when Tegan pulls a stunt😀

Absolutely loved reading bettinas story.

I did however read it first before even knowing anything about the coven. It wasn’t too hard to figure things out in all honesty.

I love how much Bettina changes and how well she handles the curve balls she has been thrown!! Her character development is incredible and you can easily relate to her as a character her wit and she gets on with everyone especially her best friend makes you feel all warm and fuzzy just thinking about it.

It’s amazing and I’m so happy with the ending for her!! I was so sad at times through this series for her and to have that ending was amazing.

Whilst this is the end of Bettinas story the covens story as a whole isn’t over.

This series is amazing and you should read it if your a fan of young adult/ fantasy/ witchy books. It’s an amazingly wonderful read for all ages!!

YES

I’m so happy with this! It’s a little annoying with how obvious something was but it was also so convincingly wrong that by the time it really did become right, I was more relieved than disappointed. I like Bettina a lot and I love it when she interacts with Tegan. The OG coven is hilarious and I missed them a lot. I love when they act so silly, it’s what makes the series for me.

This bad guy that they’re facing is really weird. In a good way. But I’m also thinking that there’s another huge obvious thing going on but I don’t have the whole picture in my head so there’s that relief at least. Almost everyone in the coven is in the same generation now and parts of me worry the other adults will be replaced or killed off. Either way I’m all for what the has in store.

I just thought about something. White supremacist entitlement is so strong. Like I am sure the author of this series doesn’t think she is racist, but she decided that the genocide of an indigenous tribe was okay to include in her plot. These witches slaughtered a whole ass tribe! With all the magic, there was no other way? So, now I’m going to change all my ratings on her books. I mean I’m used to BIPOC erasure in white fiction, so it doesn’t make me angry there’s only one Puerto Rican character in the series. But, to slaughter a whole ass tribe!? As a Black woman with indigenous ancestry, I have to speak on it, despite enjoying the series otherwise.

Big fat No from me.....if you're gonna do a spice scene even if it's pretty pg mke them over 18. They are 16 in this book. I don't want to read about children doing the deed. Having a 15-year-old, it made me cringe, so i skipped it.

Saying this, i think the consistency is confusing, too. Previously, it mentioned Michael was coming before his 18th birthday. Then it mentioned jackson had just turned 17. Then there is a comment about how they are all only 16. Sometimes, it gets confusing as to how old all the characters are.

Again, it is long-winded. I just want to get to the end now.

Soulmates

Interesting turn of events though at times with all the twists it was a bit confusing. The Shadow people felt one dimensional and a bit more backstory would have helped. They just attacked all the time but no real plan or goal. A few surprises in store and Tegan who was supposed to have her best friends interests at heart seemed to be keeping way too many secrets than she had to.

ABOUT TIME!!!! I was waiting for it to finally be revealed that Jackson and Bettina were soul mates since the reasoning behind all her stunted magic was revealed.
Now, I am waiting for Tennessee's past to be fully revealed and his sister to appear (although I think I know who it is).
On another note, I am still very much into the series. Each book seems to keep up with the action, suspense, and revelations.

I can't with this series!

Sucked me in and is literally one of the best I've read. Some editing issues and sometimes descriptions were left out and I got confused for a second. But most of these books aren't like that and I will remember this series for the rest of my life. I would like to see these as a show.

THEY ARE SOULMATES!!

Wow! What an exciting addition this book was! Epic battles, new magic and new Coven members. We see some of the magic from others in the Coven. Bentley informs Jackson he has found his soulmate and he gets sent on mission to find The Tower, the missing member, all while thinking he is taking his soulmate to safety.

Good

Jackson and Bettina were able to complete his quest, but now it’s time to do back to Edenberg and face Joseph…

Book four continues on from book three’s cliffhanger, and it ends with a cliffhanger-ish ending (no mortal danger).

It’s a fast paced, action packed addition to this exciting urban fantasy series.

Great story

This is the second time I have reread this series. I caught up with
the author writing so went back to an old series and reread the hole
set. I was so surprised that it was almost as fantastic as the first time I had read them. I missed so much of the story that it was almost as
if I had never read it before. This series is an excellent on to read.
