Two men in love, one is rich the other poor. When Peter puts Chase on a pedestal, can Chase live up to Peter’s expectation when that becomes too hard for him, or will Chase step off because he wants to be considered an equal in this M/M relationship? Will Chase risk his partnership with Peter because he won’t give up the notion that he can become an equal with Peter? Can they truly become equals or will there always be a gap when the measurement is who has the most money and who is the top and who is the bottom?
The 2nd full length book in this series finally seemed to find its bearings. There was enough steamy scenes blended with a nice plot with some twists and turns here and there. The author still needs to better edit his books as he still seems to wander and repeat things at times. Better editing would really tighten things up and make the flow work a lot better. I really like the characters and I look forward to finishing the series to see how things play out.
I thought the writing was a bit choppy but there was lots going on in the storyline. It kept me turning those pages. I liked the book but didn't love it.
Thank you for the ARC read,I voluntarily give this book an honest review. This book picks up where Sumer Heat leaves off. Chase is learning all isn't roses, when Christopher came to live with Peter. Chase wanted to give them space until the wedding. When Peter talks him in staying with them, can they make this work? With a preteen at home and a wait wedding coming up, Chase may have bitten off more then he could chew. When challenging issues come up both have their own opinions on what to do. Can Peter understand that Chase wanted to help with finances before the wedding? This was a moving read as Chase and Peter grow as a couple, learning of fatherhood together but mistakes where made in a hasty decision, can they find their way back? And the she demon of a mother, oh I just wanted to troddle them boys.
Summer Fire is the second book in the Summer Heat Series by Sky McCoy. This book picks up where the first book left off. Chase and Perer are stumbling their way through forming a family with Christopher. Peter's son, and figuring out this crazy thing called love. Mistakes are made (oh my God, I wanted to scream when they were being stupid), challenges come up that they will need to work together to ovwrcome... there's heat, drama, suspense, humor and romance.
I received an advanced reader's copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review and recommendation.

Chase and Peter are engage and ready to be married and start a family with a son, Christopher, Peter's biological son....I liked this book much more than the first one. I loved it and can't wait to read the last book I received an advanced reader's copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review and recommendation.
