Another short novella where I am kicking myself for pre-ordering before page count listed. I usually enjoy this author and this isn't her normal work.
There are many typo's, will take you give or take about 1/2 hr to read and not worth $.99. It ended at 72% on my e-reader. The whole series is short and not satisfying so be warned.
It's clean, no kisses, no character development, no romance, HEA at lightening speed - nothing to recommend. The beginning had promise so rated 2 stars. (ljb)
This was just too short. No character building, no real story, no nothing. It was really disappointing, as all the other stories in this series are great.
Piper has had a crush on Jonah, Earl of Stockbury for years. But she chalked it up to young infatuation. They always played this silly tit for tat. Piper didn't think he would ever be interested in her. Since Piper's brother is Jonah's best friend. Now she is older & Jonah is attracted to her. He is serious about wanting to spend time with Piper. See how there relationship blossoms during Christmastime
This regency Christmas romance is a sometimes humorous look at an unexpected proposal. Jonah, Lord Stockbury, is on his way to reluctantly propose to the woman he has been expected to marry since they were children, when a carriage collision leaves him stranded at the home of a long time friend he hasn't seen in eight years. Piper is the sister of his friend who has been pursued by numerous suitors ever since her first season in London. However, an unexpected realization changes everything.
This is a wonderfully written penultimate book in what is a great series of seasonal story's. The characters are delightful, and manage to overcome their expectations. This is a great book that would be suitable for anybody who loves clean historical romances.
Piper’s Proposal, book elements in the Twelve Days of Christmas series is a short but sweet tale of friends finding love together! Piper and Jonah have known each other for years, neither one interested in the other, but a chance encounter in the village following a carriage accident, opens their eyes and their hearts!
This is a quick, fun, entertaining read. Jonah and Piper are interesting, relatable, fun, intriguing, entertaining characters. I enjoyed their romance and the path it took to get to their HEA. The story is sweet and fun to read. Fish packs a lot into less than 50 pages. The secondary characters added to the fabric of the story and my enjoyment.
An enjoyable holiday read, but would have liked a little more depth to the story. I liked Piper a lot, but wanted to see more of her & Jonah at the end.
Jonah- his carriage needed repair, he stayed with old friends. Piper- refused 10 suitors and will only marry for love. I enjoyed reading this intriguing story that is well written with lovable characters. Their story has a sweet HEA.
