Ana Delgado loves love. And, even at twenty-four, she’s been in it a lot, yet she’s only living in Loving, Montana and not loving any man. Maybe she should’ve stayed in Arizona, but she moved with her older sister to the tiny town where the only things to do are go to church, take walks, garden, and help at her cousin’s new bakery. And make new friends, like crusty bachelor Brandon Manning, whose kindness seems at odds with his scowls.
Brandon Manning has iced over his heart to hide his past, his plans, and his growing feelings for Ana. No one would suspect him of being prone to love at first sight, but it’s struck again, as quick as a flash of lightning and as potentially damaging. When Brandon and Ana are forced together as best man and maid of honor at his brother’s wedding to Ana’s sister, Brandon can no longer avoid his secrets. A sweet spring may finally be possible, if Brandon and Ana can let go and trust each other.

This was a sweet short story about starting over and finding new love. Brandon hesitates at first because of their age difference and his past experiences with love. He thought he was destined to never marry and she was hurt by her last boyfriend. She’s impulsive and he’s more cautious. They become friends first working together on Nora and Cutters wedding.
This is a very, short, love story set once again in Loving, Montana. This book was about Ana and Brandon, who are planning a wedding reception for her sister and his brother. It was nice to see they could overcome and move on from past relationships that had left them scarred from the pain of their loss and forge something new just like the rebirth of spring. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.
Sweet Spring, featuring Ana Delgado and Brandon Manning, my modern take on Jane Austen's couple Marianne Dashwood and Col. Brandon, gave me smiles to write; I hope reading their story leaves you with a smile too!
