Wow. There is a lot of information to take in on these pages, obviously! The pages with 50 or 75 facts are a bit overwhelming in my opinion, but it is neat that a book with 1,000 shark facts exists. I did not read the book cover to cover so I marked it as abandoned. A good book for young shark enthusiasts!
Lots of interesting facts and beautiful pictures. The pages with a ton of facts was a little much and I would put the book down and start again later. I thought some of it was like 4 sentences based on 1 fact but made into 4 facts because of it being separate sentences (if that makes sense).
Who decided shark books are just for kids? Because I just read this and now have 1,000 new reasons to never go in the ocean again. Or rivers, apparently.
Fun fact (or nightmare fuel, depending on your perspective): a bull shark was spotted SWIMMING IN THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER. That’s right, sharks don’t even need saltwater anymore. Nowhere is safe. Sleep well. 👀
Honestly, every week can be Shark Week if you just embrace the sheer awesomeness of sharks and their “go anywhere, do anything” attitude. Highly recommend this book if you love fun facts, marine biology, or making your friends uncomfortable with unsolicited shark trivia.
