Oak Brook Academy #3

No More Hiding

Rate this book
A talented artist afraid to show her work to the world. A skateboarding outsider who mostly keeps to himself. When fate brings them together, can first impressions be overcome?

Apple Rogers has always been just a little bit shy, but she's really into helping the kids in the art club where she volunteers. Her creativity has always been the one thing that's made her truly feel like herself. Her art is the one place where she doesn't hide her true feelings.

Ty Lewis doesn't quite fit in at Oak Grove Academy but he doesn't really care about being popular anyway. He's attending the prestigious boarding school on a scholarship and he's barely hanging on to it with his careless attitude.

When Ty gets assigned to help Apple with her art club to fulfill his community hours, Apple can think of nothing more horrendous than spending time with the slacker. But when she witnesses his interaction with one of her more difficult students, she can't help but wonder if maybe she's judged him too harshly...if there's more to this mysterious boy than what she first believes.

No More Hiding is the third standalone book in the Oak Brook Academy teen sweet romance series. If you like flirtatious mismatches, high school outsiders and stories about teenagers at boarding school, then you'll love Jillian Adams’ clean story of love and romance for teens.

Honestly I couldn’t find a way to get behind these characters. I couldn’t relate to them or feel sympathy. Apple was the hardest for me to like because she couldn’t see outside her own box and perspectives. She was judgmental and had no reason to be. I loved the first book in the series but this one I couldn’t get behind. The whole book just made me angry and annoyed.

I’m not sure how to politely say this, but was she high when she wrote this book?
I have no idea what’s going on. It was so up-and-down and emotional and neither of them trusted anyone, but nobody would make progress. And then their secrets were not big secrets at all, but they held onto the secrets for the entire book. I still have no idea who her parents were and what the big deal was . I kinda wanna finish the series but because of this book I’m like what in the world.

Granted about 3/4 of the way through I was reading with my child distracting me but still so strange

All in all, this was a sweet romance about sharing your talents. I was frustrated with all the secrecy though, yes I know it takes conflict to write a book and it wasn't nearly as much conflict as another other. That being said, seeing what was going on under the surface was a gift. He's showing her painting without permission was not nice but it pushed her to a point of sharing and it's okay. My favorite was the end when they came together for a common cause.

I loved every single bit of it. I don't how much I highlighted but it's probably a lot. The banter, the chemistry was so good. I don't even know how to describe it. I will definitely be reading the next book!

Total disappointment, was even considering stopping reading half way threw, very over dramatic and not very realistic at all

y e s. No words. I’ve loved this whole series. 10/10 most definitely. I’ll admit I wasn’t expecting much but I’ve very much been mind-blowingly proven wrong
