Romance and Mayhem

This small town is controlled by Frank and Wylie....both shady characters. They do not like Dr Vijay, the new doctor in town. After Wylie beats his wife and daughter, he will not let them near the doctor. Frank decides the same when his young son gets smeared by a stingray. His decision is a deadly one. Dr Vijay knows something is badly wrong in town and gets sheriff and FB I involved.
Things get exciting and there is a nice romance happening.
A great read!

Short and sweet

A lot happens in this short book. A new doctor arrives to the island. There is prejudice against him because he is not white. A relationship develops between him and one of the island girls. A decision needs to be made. Should he stay or should he go? Smuggling of contraband leads to a sting operation. I liked the lead characters and got frustrated with the refusal of the redneck villains to follow advice.

Very good read

The story moved at a good pace, characters well developed and believable. The bad guys were bad all the way and Candace and Veejay had to fight all the prejudices of mixed couples. I love this one and highly recommend

Could this be better if it was longer? Maybe. Romance, smuggling, race relations, domestic violence, amazed at how they fit all this in so realistically.

A isolated town makes this story’s setting full of suspense filled drama, add some quirky characters and you have a gripping crime fiction book.
Dr. Vijay Aloosamy wanted a position at a big hospital in Houston but like many hospitals, it was cutting back and had a hiring freeze. Dr. Aloosamy was told that the doctor in Port Simon Peninsula had passed away and they needed a physician.
Now Dr. Aloosamy knew that if he took this position, later the hospital could find the budget to hire him. Little does Dr. Aloosamy know that though Port Simn Peninsula is small, it has big problems. Problems that involve illegal activities and some very shady characters.
Dangerous Practice gave us readers a story that took you into the lives of those who are so corrupt that they don’t see themselves as criminals. Throughout the book, you find yourself rooting for Dr. Aloosamy because he is honest, caring and all around good guy.
Dangerous Practice was well written, the characters are so gripping throughout the story and the storyline was so very clear from the very beginning of the story.
