About the author

Craig Macnaughton is an author, illustrator and the founder of Little Mitten Press. Also a stay-at-home-parent, fine artist and film buff, Craig is excited to be a part of the magical world of picture book making.

Books include "26 Bugs: An Incredible Insect ABC!" (2021), "Birds of a Letter: ABC Together!" (2020) and "A B Sea Creatures: An Astonishing Aquatic ABC!" (2019), with many on the way!

A B Sea Creatures is a brilliant book to help children learn and recognise letters of the alphabet.

On each page there is a letter and a sea creature. This is very well done and the book is full of unique and different creatures, a lot of which I hadn't heard of and this is great to help children learn whilst keeping them engaged in the book. Brilliantly, there is also a small fact on each page which makes the book really stand out compared to other alphabet books.

The illustrations are fantastic with each of the creatures in a fun cartoon style shown on a sea like background. The letters of the alphabet are all in capital letters and stand out nicely on the page making them easy for the children to see.

This is a fantastic book to help children learn the alphabet and perfect for children who love sea creatures, a brilliant and educational read!

Photosythesizy is just one of the many fun descriptions

This book is great! Step aside boring 'A is for apple' books. Let's name some lesser known sea creatures with a fun fact for each. I'm a sucker for a clever pun, so this title caught my eye. My daughter loves it! The illustrations are amazing! If you want an "ABC" book, this it. Let's face it, books can get boring for parents. I know what a bus, car, duck, elephant, etc. are. I had no idea that teeth could be in a stomach, and, xantic sargo, now I need to Google to find out about that grunting.

There is an Alphabet at the front of the book. The sea creatures are the lesser known ones. So this book is unusual in that aspect, and it is wonderful to sea (see) them. The illustrations are wondrous to behold. I picked a few letters of the alphabet to show you the different animals that are enclosed.
E is for Elephant Seal. Twice as big as a car.
I is for Immortal Jellyfish. They really do live
forever.
L is for Lobster. Will they ever stop growing.
Z is for Zebra. Zebra Lionfish Zzzz Zzz sweet dreams!

Very creative alphabet book!

This creative book really stands out in the crowd of alphabet books. If you’re looking for a funny, different, and informative book to learn the ABC(Sea - I love that!) then you don’t need to look further. My daughter loves to explore the different sea animals!

Fun facts
