A conservative journalist goes behind enemy lines to cover the 2020 Democratic primaries from the inside.
Already, the 2020 primaries are shaping up to be the most extreme in the history of the United States. Socialism is on the rise, and ideas that used to be considered crazy are now mainstream. In RED NOVEMBER, conservative journalist Joel Pollak will tell the story of how the Democratic party got so extreme, and give a riveting account of life on the campaign trail. There will be stories from the Democratic debates, interviews with candidates, and (perhaps) scuffles between journalists. Part travelogue, part satire, part memoir, Red November will be a factual, yet humorous, look behind-the-scenes at the candidates, activists, and voters as Democrats choose who will take on the sacred task of removing Donald Trump -- "45," as he is known to his haters -- from the White House and ushering in a utopian age of "Medicare for All" and the "Green New Deal."
Pollak looks closely at the presidential candidates for the 2020 election and their political idealogy of both the left-wing [Democrats] and the right-wing [Republicans\ in this documented political work. Red November is a well documented based on the citations of references used. This book should be read and thought about by every American citizen eligible to vote. The 2020 Democratic debates were easily some of the highlights of 2019 and 2020 for me, and I’m not saying so sarcastically. Every time the Democrats debated on stage, there was something to laugh at, joke about, correct, or simply gape at, because everything was so unintentionally comedic. The best part was, Donald Trump didn’t have to get involved and could instead just watch as all of them made fools of themselves constantly. It’s not as funny looking at the debates now, considering the candidate that was finally chosen to represent the disastrous party, but alas, that’s politics, isn’t it?
Joel B. Pollak is the conservative journalist known for getting called out by failed Texan candidate Beto O’Rourke for ‘invoking hate’ among college campuses, as well as for being the man that tried to correct Joe Biden’s favorite ‘there were fine people on both sides’ rally myth. I had actually never really heard of him before picking up this book, but I must say, I definitely wish to research his work more now.
Red November is the intense and oftentimes straight up hilarious story of the 2020 Democratic debates. Dozens of candidates vying for the best ‘orange man bad’ insult, calling each other names for hours on end, Kamala Harris pointing out Biden’s racism and sexism every other sentence, Tulsi Gabbard being forgotten about in every debate because she was never quite as radical or as much a Trump hater as the others. The debates often seem unreal when looking back on them, especially when reading about the details.
The book reads in chronological order, from the start of the debates to Joe Biden’s inevitable (and very unfortunate) nomination, as well as some bios on all of the candidates, both the major and the minor ones. It goes into national events that happened that often interfered with the debates, such as Trump’s impeachment and eventual acquittal, the outbreak of COVID-19 (and the Democrats’ terrible response), and of course, RUSSIA! (remember when that was a thing?)
This was easily one of the most enjoyable and informative books I’ve read this year. It was factual, fun, and gave me a new perspective on the Democratic Party as a whole. It doesn’t read like a guy making fun of the Democrats for 200 pages. It’s simply the story of the debates, and the impact they left on these few years. Of course, considering that Pollak is a Republican from Breitbart, he does include some witty remarks here and there, but all in all, no insane bashing on Bernie Sanders, or incredulous conspiracy theories. If you’re interested in the debates that will probably go down in history, you need to pick this book up. You won’t regret it.
Another brick in the wall. If you wonder why democracies are disappearing, then this is the book to read. It is professionally written and logically laid out. You may be tempted to gloss over some of the news events that you think you know, but you will then lose some important details. Although it reads like fiction you can verify any part in news reports. I strongly recommend this book for all who want to see the reality of the present State of the Union. As the old saw says, “read it and weep”.
Not much that's substantial here. Mostly just a collection of outrageous things people said and did, which you'll already have mostly known about if you've spent any time online. Also, the subtitle is "Will the Country Vote Red for Trump or Red for Socialism," and the question is never addressed.
I wouldn't even use this rag for kindling. A so called "conservative journalist" evidently does not know what words mean. Especially the word "Socialism". Joel B. Pollak wouldn't know a Socialist if one came up to them, collectivized their private property, and threw their reactionary @ss in a gulag.
