Whats in a name? That which we call A Rogue by any other name would taste as sweet.

Rogue by Eden Bradley is a deliciously erotic tale of a rogue vampire defying the rules of the Vampire Council only for the elation of it. But there are consequences when you defy those who are stronger, older, more wickedly devious than one's self.

Caught with no where to go, Rogue plies those around him with his wit, snark, and sexual prowess. He is beautiful, daring, and alluring. But that is not all, he is a mystery as well.

While there are those on the council who would love to see him eradicated, Ramsey (head of the Vampire Council) would like to see him bound - at his mercy - submitting to him.

This is a sensually arousing tale of two broken men brought together by passion, sex, and blood. There is mystery to be solved, passion to be had, and things get even curiouser and curiouser as the story builds.

Great introduction to the Vampire Council and this new spin off series, Midnight Playground: International. I have already fallen for several of the council and can't wait to see where Eden Bradley takes us next.

Quote:

His entire being itched to feel their innocent struggle beneath his hands.

He whispered against his ear, "I'm going to hurt you rather badly."
"Yes, Sir."
"Ask for it, Amon. Let me know your desires."
"I want it, Sir. I want you to beat me. Until I beg. Until I bleed for you. This is something I need. Need. Please."

(I love that Eden can make me crave more from a secondary character! I want Amon!)

Prepare yourself for an exquisitely written tale of two vampiric men brought to their knees by one another—Join them as smoldering seduction ignites into a fiery passion that bursts into a controlled, steady blaze.

How true to his name would he be had he simply walked through the front doors of Palacio de Crista–the Crystal Palace? How lonely in life would he remain had he not? Regardless of his very nature granting access to any of Europe’s Midnight Playground clubs, Rogue remains true to his name and chooses to gain entry by jumping the wall instead. To him it is a game… Tempting, forbidden, thrilling.

He is impossibly beautiful, young and cocksure—all of which catches the eye of Ramsey, not only the head of Palacio de Crista, but member of the Council as well. What are they to do about this rogue vampire with no regard to following rules? After many suggestions, including death, his punishment is decided. He must participate in a game of the Council’s choosing this time. A game of humiliation, powerlessness, and finally submission to Ramsey for all to witness.

Both Rogue and Ramsey are blasted by instant emotions thrust upon them at first sight, struggle with emotions that intensify with each encounter, and all while what was once only a rumor is a now verifiable threat to their race. The account of their pasts, deep-seated promises and ensuing inner battles to let it all go are each masterfully spun into this tale, one which I thoroughly enjoyed and can’t wait to read more about.

I’m definitely ready for Chiara’s story. She’s so wicked I just have to know more about her… Maybe in another Midnight Playground Series: International installment? I will bow at your stilettos, waiting patiently, Miss Eden.

Rogue, Eden Bradley
Review from jeannie zelos book reviews
Well, two days running I’ve been caught by a new series that’s actually turned out to be a continuation/extension of an existing series. Though this is Midnight Playground International, book one, its got all the characters and world building from the original Midnight Playground series. Of course not having read that I knew nothing about it...it’s not that hard to pick up though, but I think readers will enjoy it more if they read the others.
As it was it’s a novel that didn’t really work for me, being a very short book of around 150 kindle pages. That doesn’t really give a story a chance to get set, and I found this was mainly a succession of M/M sex scenes ( fine, I like those) set inside a very thin story line, and that doesn't work for me. I need the sex to be a part of the story, not the whole thing. More story and less sex is what works for me, and this is more sex, less story IMO.. Its really just an introduction of how Rogue joins the existing group of vampires, by way of lots of sometimes very rough and bloody sex and beatings. I didn’t find the sex scenes very erotic, missed the tenderness of a proper romance, and found the back story just too thin. Sadly a book that wasn’t for me though I can see already its got lots of four and five star reviews. Still, that’s how it goes, and that gives us a good range of books to enjoy.
Stars: Two – just didn’t suit me.

I freaking LOVED THIS BOOK!!! Eden did MM soooo darn hot!!!!

Eden Bradley held me hostage with her succulently sexy vampire M/M story, Rogue. A story of an angry rouge vampire with no memory of anything before he was made into the creature he is now. I literally couldn’t put down my e-reader till I was finished. These two vamps grabbed me by the throat and forced me to submit to their story.

Rogue has been living for himself for the last century, and has an I don’t care look on life. He seems to thrive on pushing the bounds of those in authority. His rebel attitude has him on a path that just might lead him to his destiny.

Ramsey is intrigued by this law breaker put before him. There is something about him that calls to something deep inside that hasn’t been touched in more years than he even wants to remember. He knows he wants to bend Rogue to his sexual whims, but is he willing to take a chance on letting him in deeper?

This is a beautifully written story of love and pain. Not all pain is bad, but you have to let go of the emotional pain to experience a love that binds. These two men both have past pain that will be hard to get over in order to get their HEA. Eden weaved a beautiful story that has you going through so many emotions with each of them. To be honest I was so involved in this story that I felt like I had read a full length novel. I can’t wait to visit this world again!! I really hope y’all enjoy this one as much as I have!!

I requested this book from NetGalley for 3 reasons, yummy vamps galore, the LOLA HAPPY DANCE WORTHY cover & I absolutely LOVE Eden Bradley UNDIES SCORCHING romances. I loved her flawed characters & the slowly peeling back their many layers, plus how their scarred tissue encased hearts was unraveled the hard way. Ms. Bradley didn't disappoint & had her many HEATED, SCORCHED & EVAPORATED UNDIES in this read! Like I state in my reviews, I will try any genre at least once & I have discovered that gay romances are not for me. Ms. Bradley has always been & will continue to be WELCOMED in my book COSMO with her dazzling creative tales filled to the brim with NAUGHTINESS, but this romance was not my cuppa tea, so I can only give Mr. Bradley a score of 2 fingers up & 4 toes.

NatGalley ARC given for my honest review.

This started off really well, I haven't read any of the previous books, but there has been quite some world building going on - not so much that its not understandable in reading this as a standalone though.

Rogue as a character was intriguing and his rebellious nature was attractive, Ramsey was more difficult to get to grips with. Their back-stories were interesting and it started to build up quite nicely, then it ended rather swiftly.

For me the main issue was the repetition of how beautiful they were, and the rather rushed ending.
But - I am curious as to how the series as a whole will pan out.

While this is technically the first in a series, I'd recommend working knowledge of the original Midnight Playground books first. (This would have helped me as well, since the world-building felt a little rushed at times in the short length.) The setting didn't seem as futuristic as I'd expected, probably since the vampire concept will always feel traditional to me. The story ends on a bit of a cliffhanger, but Bradley's evocative writing style makes me curious to see where Midnight Playground: International series goes.

Absolutely beautiful! This has to be the most erotic coming together of two men I've ever read. The power play between Ramsey and Rogue left me in awe. What I wouldn't give to see them first hand.
