Toto is no ordinary cat, and she can't wait for you to join her on her THIRD ninja adventure! From one of the UK's best-loved broadcasters, purrfect for fans of The Aristocats, The Secret Life of Pets and Atticus Claw Breaks the Law. Toto, the amazing ninja cat, is back and cooler than ever! Toto is almost blind, but that doesn't stop her having brilliant adventures. Ideal for reading aloud or for children to curl up with and read alone, the story features brilliant black and white illustrations throughout. With gentle themes of friendship, inclusivity and winning in the face of adversity, this is a hilarious must-read for all animal-loving kids!
Dermot ' The idea for Toto first came to me when my wife and I rescued two stray cats from an olive grove in Italy. One of them, Toto, has been blind from birth, but we quickly realised she had ninja-like reactions. Like a lot of cat owners (or cat servants), we like to imagine our pets having secret lives when we're out or asleep. So before I knew it I was writing about Toto and her brother Silver's nocturnal adventures around London. I really hope that children who pick it up enjoy reading the adventures of our little Italian underdog (cat).' Have you read Toto's other The Great Snake Escape and The Incredible Cheese Heist ?
As Toto and Silver have been working non stop to bring criminals to justice, Larry tells them to take a break and Catface says he has just thing. He produces tickets to Castonbury complete with side stage tickets to see Johnny and the shorthairs. They take the train from Paddington and meet the superstar there. However, it wouldn't be much of a story if things went to plan. Cue an Arch nemesis and henchcats galore. More fun and fur flying frolics.
This book, I had from school, and I was desperately looking for a middle grade novel I could sink my teeth into. It’s a great read for ages 7-9, and with many puns and references that would appeal to an older audience. It’s the only book in the series I’ve read, but that didn’t matter one bit. The characters clearly crossed over, but the development of the characters in the story was just perfect for a book for this age group. I’d definitely recommend this for younger readers!
This was such a cool read. The illustrations are funny as they help to bring the story to life. Such a quick read that most children, boys and girls alike will just eat up and be begging for more. The story is about Toto who is a blind cat and also a ninja kicking butt cat. She is a delight to follow in this story as she tries to solve the mystery and stop a disaster from happening at the musical festival. The other characters, such as Socks, Catface and Silver are equally as funny. Looking forward to reading more about Toto and her ninja adventures.
This was my first read of the ‘Toto the Ninja Cat’ series. Solid 3.5 stars for this humorous good vs evil tale with a mixture of quirky animal characters. Toto and her brother Silver are part of a secret crime fighting organisation. Ready for a rest, their friend Catface (a rat) organises a trip to the massive music festival Catstonbury. On the train journey there, they meet headlining rockstar Jonny. But something just doesn’t smell right and ninja skills will be needed before too long.
I read this with my seven year old. This is the first of Toto’s adventures that we’ve read. Set at the musical festival of Catstonbury, it’s a story about Toto, a blind ninja cat, who uses her ninja senses and skills to thwart the plans of world domination of her arch nemesis. A fun and entertaining read.
