Facing the past is easier if you don’t have to face it alone.
The Bluebell Inn is turning a profit, and it’s time for the Bennett siblings to sell it and move on. Only Grace has plans to stay in the small lake town of Bluebell, North Carolina, where she hopes her growing outfitters business will save her from the loneliness of her siblings’ departure and the persistent sense of unworthiness in her life.
A gunshot wound resurrects the past for Secret Service agent Wyatt Jennings, and a mandatory leave of absence lands him in Bluebell. There he must come to grips with the tragedy that altered his life fourteen years ago.
When Wyatt books a room at the Bluebell Inn, sparks fly between him and Grace. She volunteers to be his mountain guide, and he soon opens up to her, drawn to her strength and sense of humor. But both are reticent to talk about the survivor’s guilt they each carry, and when their pasts finally collide, their budding romance might not survive the truth.
From the bestselling author of The Convenient Groom and A December Bride (now beloved Hallmark Original movies) comes the third and final novel in the Bluebell Inn series.
Denise Hunter is the award-winning author of more than 40 novels, three of which have been adapted into Hallmark movies.
Denise writes heartwarming, small-town romances, peopled with layered characters who have real-life issues. Her readers enjoy the vicarious thrill of falling in love and the promise of a happily-ever-after sigh as they savor the final pages of her books.
In 1996, Denise began her first novel, writing while her children napped. Two years later it was published, and she's been writing ever since. Her books contain a strong romantic element, and her husband says he provides all her romantic material, but Denise insists a good imagination helps too!
Denise and her husband live in Indiana, where they raised three sons, and are currently enjoying an empty nest.
Hunter has done it again. I loved Grace and Wyatt's story. I just don't know of anyone else who can write a romance set in North Carolina that takes my breath away like Hunter. I love that she gave this story a happy ending. 5 stars two times. I HIGHLY recommend this whole series. They can be read as stand alones but I would not do that. You are going to LOVE them all three. The Mary Reader received this book from the publisher for review. A favorable review was not required and all views expressed are our own.
'Don't play the what-if game, Grace. You'll lose every time.'
Denise Hunter has saved the very best for last in her Bluebell Inn Romance series. I loved Grace at the first novel and knew she had a wonderful story to tell and she did! Grace, the youngest of the siblings who own the Bluebell Inn and the one with the most heartache, in my opinion.
When Wyatt Jennings walks through the inn's door looking for a place to stay because he's been put on mandatory leave on his secret service job, he is looking for a way to come to peace with a disturbing and painful episode in his past. He finds Grace at the check in desk. She offers to give him guided hiking tours to find what he hopes will be the answer to that past experience. However, there is a connection to both their fears from the past. Can they work past it and come to a peaceful solution? God does indeed use the painful parts of our past to work things out for our good.
I loved everything about this. One thing that makes a book real to me is when I can connect to the characters from the start. And this happened with both Wyatt and Grace. Hunter handles the situations in their life with grace (no pun intended) and love. I shed a few tears here, too. I loved every single minute. Truly, she saved the best for last. Bravo! Recommended.

This was such a sweet feel good small-town romance. This is the third book in Denise Hunter’s BlueBell Inn series about the Bennett siblings. The previous books were about Molly and Levi, this time it is Grace’s story. And even though this can be read as a standalone I’d encourage you to read the previous books. The Bluebell Inn has now been completely renovated and is turning a profit. It is time for the siblings two sell the property they inherited after the tragic death of their parents. Molly is eager to head to Italy and start her dream BMB. Levi is looking forward to moving to LA to be closer to his famous fiancé. But Grace is content staying in the town she grew up in running her outfitter business. Wyatt is a secret service agent about to be promoted to the coveted position of guarding the president. When Wyatt travels to the Bluebell Inn for some much needed R&R there is an instant connection between Grace and him. But they are both very guarded dealing with past issues stemming from survivors guilt. Will Grace and Wyatt be able to find healing together or is the guilt to deep-seated?
I was really looking forward to Grace’s story, but I wasn’t quite as infatuated with this one as I was anticipating. I think for me a lot of it had to do with the fact that Grace is only 21, and I guess I didn’t feel as though she needed to find her forever love at such a young age. Therefore I didn’t feel any kind of urgency when it came to the relationship between Wyatt and her. Also she already owned her own business and was about to buy her own house, I just felt like she was growing up too quickly. This is probably the mom in me, but... I loved visiting the small town and the inn again. It was also really nice catching up on both Molly and Levi’s stories and the book was tied up nicely with a wonderful epilogue.

The Bluebell Inn Romance series has been such a great series to read. It is easy to slip back in and visit the Bennett siblings and the inn that they renovated after their parents were killed in an auto accident four years ago. They all put their lives on hold to fulfill their parents' dream of turning the big house into an inn. The inn has a rich history of being many things, including an inn, a stagecoach inn, a post office, and a family home. They have the inn in the black and doing well so now it is time to sell it and each of the three fulfilling their own dreams. Molly and Adam are married and Levi and Mia are about to start their own life. This is Grace's story, the youngest of the siblings and ready to start her own outfitters business, forgoing college. All she needs is the funds from the sell of the inn. Wyatt Jennings is Secret Service, recovering from a gunshot wound he got in the line of duty. He grew up going to Bluebell during his summer years as a child until his mom was murdered when he was twelve. He and his mom were on a camping trip when she was attacked. He is still suffering from his feelings of guilt, thinking he could have done something to help her. The shooting has brought it all back so he decides to go back and try to recover and maybe settle his old nightmares. Grace and Wyatt become friends as she helps him find the area where his mom died. He didn't disclose any details about what happened and actually opened up slowly to Grace. It was fun to watch their relationship develop but their lives are so different and far apart so it can't go anywhere. Can it? This is a romance but not without stressful events along the way. Autumn Skies has romantic attraction, friendship, faith, and survivor's guilt to overcome. Maybe God had a hand in bringing the two together. I highly recommend this sweet story and series. Grace's story is my favorite of the three. I wish it didn't have to end. I received a complimentary ARC from Thomas Nelson through NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are mine only.
I haven't read all of this author's books but the ones I have read are all five star books. I really loved Grace and Wyatt's story. Now I need to catch up on the other books in the series. I love that it took place in North Carolina, I visited there several times in the past few weeks and used to live there. The book is very realistic and I loved the scenic outdoors descriptions. I love this author's books. She writes such feel good books. I highly recommend them all!
Pub Date 20 Oct 2020 I was given a complimentary copy of this book. Thank you. All opinions expressed are my own.
What an absolutely wonderful book. Autumn Skies is just so good. Denise Hunter’s novels just get better and better and better; this series just got better and better. In this conclusion to a three book series, it was so lovely to see the final part of the three siblings’ stories and work in getting their inn up and running.
Autumn Skies follows Grace, the youngest of the three Bennett siblings. We have watched her grow up a little over the previous two novels. Now she is a young woman. She has started her own business, helped her siblings finish and run the inn, but she still grapples with grief and guilt from her parents’ deaths and a traumatic event in her childhood. Wyatt Jennings is a secret service agent. Suffering trauma and flashbacks, he is suspended. He decides to return to the place of his childhood memories, Bluebird Inn. Wyatt enlists the help of Grace to help him find a particular spot in the surrounding mountains. Their chemistry is intense, but neither is looking for a relationship.
I read this book in one sitting. I just didn’t want to put it down, didn’t want to leave the wonderful world Denise Hunter brings to life. Now I just want to reread it again. I loved everything about this book. The characters, the heartbreaking story, the now familiar setting, the usual banter between the Bennett siblings, but I really, really loved the romance in this one.
The. Romance. Thanks goodness I was reading this sitting down because I literally swooned and would have fallen off my chair! The chemistry between Grace and Wyatt is Off. The. Charts. Wow. They share such a deep connection. They both try and fight it. But there is also a genuine connection between them. They chat, laugh and tease. They face some tough situations together, hike, and challenge each other. Their relationship is quick and potent and my favourite of the series (of all time, at the momentum.
Like in the first two books, Denise Hunter weaves in a mystery from the past that the two main characters team up to solve. Autumn Skies’ mystery is a little different from book 1 and 2’s mysteries. This mystery is a little darker and a little closer to home. I was shocked, stunned, blown away and left crying. But it was so good and the healing was amazing.
So, I loved this book. If you love amazing romance (clean) and a touch of mystery you will love Autumn Skies. While I am extremely sad this series is over, I can’t wait to read what Denise Hunter has for us next.

Update: Book two was so good. I need this now!!! Please?
Such a good book! I wondered what the author would do with the youngest sister’s story. It was gripping! And the way it wove together with the hero’s was compelling and tragic. A sweet romance that made it hard to walk away from the pages.
I love Denise Hunter books! They’re always an escape from reality. Great dialogue and lovable characters in all her books. The chemistry is spot on between Grace and Wyatt and between the siblings. Not sure I would have made a five year age gap that big of a conflict in the plot’s storyline but it melted away about halfway through the book. I am missing Bluebell now. I wish this one wasn’t the end of the series.
Denise Hunter absolutely cannot write a story that is not wonderful! And this one is certainly proof! I love the way she writes in word pictures and I can see the book play in my head like a movie. This is the third in the Bluebell Lake series and a great conclusion. It is the story of Grace, the youngest of the Bennett siblings. As in the two books before, the other main character, Wyatt is a guest at the B&B that they own. Grace and Wyatt share a secret that they don't even know they share. And that's all I divulge because I don't want to give anything away. I will say - just read it, you'll be glad you did! And keep writing Denise!
I am a huge fan of the Bluebell Inn Romance Series and of course reading this third book is like visiting old friends - the Bennet siblings’ stories from book 1 and 2 all had a little bit of romance, mystery and small town drama and excitement - all with a feel good happy ending.
Their beautiful home turned into a gorgeous B & B by the lake on the gorgeous Blue Ridge Mountains in North Carolina is blustering with activity and guests, and is now running well and turning a profit. Molly and Levi are looking to sell and move on. However, Grace stays on to run her outfitting business.
In this installment, we read about Grace Bennett the young, spunky, and cynical about matters of love sibling, fall head over heels with Wyatt, a guest at the Inn. Wyatt is a secret service agent who is on a leave of absence after taking a bullet. Your heart will flutter as jaded Wyatt falls head over heels over Grace who comes into his life just when he needed it the most.
I just love Denise Hunter’s stories they always leave you feeling great and hopeful - always an engaging story I enjoy!
I think this book may be my favorite of this series. I really loved it- from beginning to end. The characters and the story progression felt natural and moved forward at a great pace. I was so invested in this story the whole way through.
Wyatt and Grace are two characters that are easy to like and easy to root for. I enjoyed them together and apart. Wyatt is cautious and conflicted and his story is more complex. His search for closure brings him close to Grace who struggles with some of her own demons. The emotions were real and even though I don't personally struggle with the same things Wyatt and Grace did, I connected with the way the characters were feeling. That's exactly what I want as a reader.
I've loved this Bluebell Inn series but again, this story was my favorite. It was nice to see Grace's sister and brother in this book too, keeping with the family connections present in each book. I loved how all their stories came to a feel good resolution. It was so well done. I think this book could stand alone but I would really recommend reading this series in order. These three siblings play a prominent role in each book and their stories progress in each even though each book focuses on one particular person.
Content: mild peril, mild violence, kissing. Christian fiction.
- I received a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions expressed are my own.
I’m so glad that I didn’t give up on this series. I thoroughly enjoyed this engaging romance. I thought the romance was passionate and sincere, and I loved Grace’s personality and how a lot of the book had an outdoorsy setting with hiking and camping involved. The faith content presented was done well, too. The truth of learning to give our burdens to Christ is a topic than many readers can relate with. If you enjoyed the first two books, the characters from those books are present in this novel, too, and it was fun to see their relationships blooming amongst the pages. This was my favorite book of the Bluebell Inn series. It had the perfect cover, title, and story for a sweet autumn read.
Autumn Skies by Denise Hunter is perfection! It hit all the right notes and provided everything I look for in a book, a terrific plot, interesting characters and a toe-curling romance!
I really enjoyed the return trip to the Bluebell Inn in this third book of the series. Hunter really outdid herself with Grace and Wyatt's story. I love that they were complete opposites in personality and life experiences, yet had more in common than they could've imagined. The chemistry between these two, and their subsequent romance, was the best I've read this year, a total ten!
The plot was unique and although it held a bit of tragedy, the bonding that occurred because of it made for a strong storyline. There was also a good bit of humor. Anytime an author can combine serious subjects with witty banter during the process it's a win for the reader. Hunter pulled that off perfectly!
Hunter provides some beautiful imagery throughout the story, "Soon the color would trickle downhill until the entire valley was a riot of color, stretched out beneath the autumn skies and reflected in the glassy waters of Bluebell Lake."
I could not have loved the epilogue of Autumn Skies more! Denise Hunter has always been one of the best writers when it comes to romance and Autumn Skies is a classic example why she is such a fan favorite. I can hardly wait for her next book! Many thanks to Thomas Nelson Fiction for a complimentary copy of Autumn Skies. All thoughts and opinions are my very own.
It’s a rainy/snowy day in CT today. That means I’m snuggled up in pajamas and enjoying holiday movies with the family! I’m also sprinkling in a few chapters from The Adults by Caroline Hulse as the day goes on. I’m about 120ish pages in so far. Last night I finished Autumn Skies by Denise Hunter! It’s book 3 in the Bluebell Inn trilogy. The series follows siblings that come together after their parents death to renovate and run an inn. Each book follows a different sibling’s love story. In this one we are following the youngest sibling, Grace. She is in the midst of trying to get her own business off the ground when Wyatt comes to town. Wyatt is searching for answers to hopefully get closure from his past to finally move on. ❤️Review❤️ If you are new to following me, I’m obsessed with Denise Hunter’s books. This is my 15th book by her that I’ve read and this one did not disappoint. I wasn’t sure how this would wrap up since we met Grace when she was only 18, but I liked that this actually took place with her being in her early 20s. Grace and Wyatt were put on a beautiful journey of self discovery, healing, peace, and love. What they were going through felt real and an honest portrayal of what someone who had lived their life experiences would actually be like. I loved getting to have some closure with the other siblings as well. I feel very satisfied with how everything came together in the end. Everyone feels like they are heading in a good direction and will have a great future (I’m speaking as if these characters are real hahaha). Overall I highly recommend this sweet small town series! 5 stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Do you like small town romances? #christianfiction #smalltownromance #trilogies #denisehunter #favoriteauthor #winterreading #gorgeousbookcover #reading #decemberreads #romancebooks #christianfictionnovels
Loved being back in Bluebell! This was a fantastic conclusion to a wonderful series. I loved the setting of this series and all of the characters. I am sad to see the series end but look forward to whatever Denise Hunter has for us next.
Grace is the youngest of the Bennett siblings. She is strong and independent and knows what she wants in life. But she is struggling to get past the survivor's guilt that is causing her to have panic attacks.
Wyatt comes to the Bluebell Inn and is searching for answers to a tragedy that happened when he was a child. He and Grace are immediately drawn to each other, and she helps him find the answers he is looking for. But they find so much more.
The author added a bit of mystery to Grace and Wyatt's story that will keep you anxiously turning the page to find out what happens. I highly recommend this book and the entire series. You will not be disappointed!
**I was given an advanced copy by Netgalley and the publisher. The opinions expressed are my own.**
I'm telling you that this is an awesome series! I've loved this series from the beginning and I'm happy to say I really enjoyed in getting to know Grace so much better than the previous ones. I just hate to see this series end. I loved both characters actually and I enjoyed their banter back and forth too. Hunter has done an excellent job as always and I find myself looking forward to her books because of the amazing adventures that are inside. I especially loved the small town atmosphere of Bluebell Lake and I didn't want to leave. I felt at home at the inn. Each of these siblings has a special place in my heart and I hope to see how they are doing in the future. Especially Grace as she became my favorite. She's my favorite because of her determination to make things happen for her future. My heart really went into Wyatt Jennings. I immediately liked him. He could be my honey anytime, anywhere. I don't want to say what happens to him. I will let you read the book to find out. I highly recommend this book. You'll not want to put it down until you're finished with it. My thanks to Netgalley for a complimentary copy of this book. I was NOT required to positive review and all opinions are my own.
Where to begin??? I loved every page of this novel! This is the third and final book in the Bluebell Inn series and the perfect way to bring the collection to an end. Wyatt and Grace's stories, both individually and together, were amazing. Chemistry, tenderness, tension, action, and sweet faith elements made this the perfect read.
Autumn Skies by Denise Hunter is the third book in the Bluebell Inn Romance series. It is awesome. I found myself looking up at the clock and realized I had been reading for hours. This book features the youngest sibling, Grace. She is young but very mature for her age and she finds herself very attracted to their newest guest at their inn. He is a handsome Alpha male type, but yet super sweet and attentive too. There is definitely romance, but a bit of mystery as well. The kisses were toe curling and the ending was perfect. *I was given a copy of this book by Thomas Nelson and this is my honest opinion.
I really enjoyed this one! I didn't realize it was the third book in the series when I started, but it was written so well as a standalone I didn't feel lost. Which I really *love* in a series.
Grace is looking forward to starting her own business and striking out on her own. She just needs her family B&B to sale and then she can finally start a new chapter in her life. Wyatt is on a mandatory leave of absence for the Secret Service and needs to get his mind right so he can get back to work. As their paths cross, they are drawn to each other not realizing just how intertwined their lives are going to become. I really liked Grace and Wyatt, the scenes with them together were my favorite. Ms. Hunter is great at writing conversations, building romantic tension and weaving in a unique storyline. Overall, this was an enjoyable read. I enjoyed the characters, plot and didn't want to put it down. Now, I just need to go back and read the first two books!
Content Rated PG for mild violence Romance: Kisses Language: None Violence: Mild, mainly events that had happened in the past - not overly detailed or graphic Religious: Mild, both characters are Christian, so mild talk of God, etc. Not preachy, pretty subtle
“And maybe it was time to get down to the real question at hand: Why was she so fascinated with him?” Grace
Denise Hunter’s Autumn Skies is a romance story that is filled with adventure, some suspense, faith, and sweet romance. Wyatt and Grace are extremely likable characters who fight their own demons from the past and realize they can change their futures. Denise Hunter has a way of drawing you into her story and makes sure you settle down and feel at home. I enjoyed my time in North Carolina at the Bluebell Inn. Autumn Skies by Denise Hunter is the third and final book in her Bluebell Inn series. It is a stand alone book, but characters from the other two books are pleasantly featured and we receive updates on their lives. It was a great final book in the series that wrapped everything up in a satisfying way.
**I was given an advanced copy by Netgalley and the publisher. The opinions expressed are my own.**
It’s no secret that I love me some Denise Hunter books. I have yet to read a bad one, and I have read them all. So, I was beyond excited that I was given the opportunity to read “Autumn Skies” the third, and final, book in the Bluebell Inn series.
If you are unfamiliar with this series, you need to read it. NOW! The series follows the Bennett siblings, Molly, Levi and Grace. The first book focused on Molly and her love interest Adam. The second book focused on Levi and Mia.
“Autumn Skies” follows Grace, the baby of the Bennett siblings. We have watched Grace grow up in the series. When her siblings decided to finish the restoration and opening of their parents inn, Grace was just eighteen years old. She was always in the shadows of her siblings, but this book has her branching out and making a way for herself.
Grace has opened her own business, Blue Ridge Outfitters, an outdoor adventure rental shop. In addition, she helps run the inn with her siblings. It was at this inn that she meets Wyatt.
Wyatt and Grace are both working to lose the demons of their past in the form of childhood traumas. Wyatt, having been recently injured in the line of duty, finds himself at Bluebell Inn to help him face his childhood trauma and to deal with the repercussions.
Let me just say this was my favorite book in the Bluebell Inn series. As much as I loved Adam from the first book, “Lake Season”, Wyatt gives him a bit of competition in my eyes. The are vastly different with Wyatt being the alpha male. He is strong, fit, and a little brooding. He is mysterious and serious.
As much as I did not want to finish this book, after all it is the final book in the series, I just had to find out how the story ended. Not just for Grace and Wyatt, but all the Bennett siblings.
As I read the Epilogue, I felt like a true southerner standing on the porch saying bye to my loved one. The Bennett siblings have become my favorite fictional family, and I hated saying that goodbye.
Autumn Skies marks the end of another great series by Denise Hunter. I have enjoyed every word of the three Bluebell Inn books. Reading this series has been an absolute please. Ms. Hunter writes stories that are so full of hope and grace, and this one is among my favorites from her.
Autumn Skies follows Grace Bennett and Wyatt Jennings. Grace is the youngest of the three siblings that took over restoration of the Bluebell Inn before becoming innkeepers there. In past books, we’ve watched Grace grow up as her sister Molly and her brother Levi told their stories in previous books. Grace’s story begins with her working the front desk at Bluebell Inn, just business as usual, when the handsome and serious-looking Wyatt walks in to reserve himself a room. Wyatt has come back to Bluebell while he is taking an extended vacation from his job with the Secret Service. After he sustained an injury while protecting the Senator, he needed some time to clear his head.
Wyatt actually has another reason for coming back to Bluebell. When he was much younger, he was involved in an act of violence that resulted in the death of his mother. In coming back to the town where it happened, Wyatt hopes to be able to heal from that event. Grace is able to help him move through this process, first as a guide while hiking in the nearby mountains, and then by listening as he tells his story. It turns out Grace has a story of her own that she needs to work through. She was also involved in an act of violence that resulted in loss of life, and she has had survivor’s guilt since that time.
Perhaps the story sounds a little bit heavy, as I have described it? But it really isn’t. Ms. Hunter has had this way of weaving a little bit of mystery in each one of these Bluebell Inn stories, which has actually been really fun. Having both Grace and Wyatt moving through past trauma, while also on a hunt for something, gave a lot of depth to each of the as characters and to the beginnings of their relationship. Both are very likable. Of course, I also love the way Grace interacts with Molly and Levi, her siblings. They have such a great relationship and I particularly loved the way Molly teased with Grace about how handsome Wyatt was and how protective Levi was of his youngest sister.
The setting is perfect. I live in North Carolina, so I’m extra fond of this lakeside down in the western part of the state. It feels like actual places that I’ve been to many times before and honestly, Ms. Hunter is always great at creating a vivid, life-like, charming setting in her books. (I also really love her Summer Harbor, Maine setting in her Summer Harbor series, which are some of my favorite books!)
Getting to the end of this series makes me feel a lot of things. I am so happy for all of these characters and I’m thrilled at where they are in their lives as the series concludes. But I will miss them until I reread these books in the future. I think Autumn Skies was my favorite of these three books. It works well as a standalone, but I 100% recommend reading all three in order so you can grow to love these characters chronologically, the same way I have.
I received this book for free from the publisher in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review. Thank you, Thomas Nelson!
With the Bluebell Inn now running successfully, Levi, soon to be married, is preparing to move to LA, Molly is anxious to open a Bed and Breakfast in Italy and Grace is hoping to expand her Outfitter's business. The time has come to sell the Inn and move forward with their dreams. It's Autumn in Bluebell and things are slowing down at the Inn when a handsome, mysterious stranger, Wyatt Jennings, walks in off the street for an indefinite stay. It raises questions for Levi, but for Grace sparks fly between her and Wyatt, and she hopes to get to know him better. Wyatt, a Secret Service Agent, is on leave following getting hit in the arm protecting a Senator. Grace and Wyatt both carry secrets and burdens from their childhood's that have impacted their lives. As they spend time together, they find they share more than just a love for the outdoors. Can they find peace with their pasts and have a chance at a happy future? A wonderful conclusion to the Bluebell Inn series, and a nice distraction from the worries of the current turmoil.
I've loved this series since the beginning, first with Molly's story and then Levi's, but Grace's story is definitely my favorite.
First, I loved to see Molly and Levi still involved and participating. The siblings decide to sell the inn, which was always the end goal. Molly and Adam have plans to go to Italy, Levi is marrying Mia and then moving to CA, and Grace will stay in town and work on expanding her business. Everything seems to be on target for their goals.
Wyatt is a secret service agent and, after taking a bullet for a senator, he's mentally not doing as well as before. His boss orders him to take four weeks off, and Wyatt goes back to Bluebell, where his family used to vacation. It was also the place where his mom was murdered.
When Wyatt arrives at the inn, Grace finds herself attracted to him and he feels the same. He plans to find the place in the mountains where his mom died, and Grace offers to help him, even though she doesn't know the true reason.
Seeing these two become friends and fall in love was an absolute treat. Wyatt helps Grace through her panic attacks and she helps hike to the places in the mountains.
The connection they discover to each other's past was quite the revelation.
I love this story and highly recommend the trilogy.
I received a copy from the publisher through NetGalley and this my honest opinion.
Autumn Skies was a fantastic romance novel! I have absolutely loved this series and am sad to see it end...although it was a satisfying ending.
The characters were so good! I already knew Grace and her siblings from the previous books, but Wyatt was a new character and he was great. I felt terrible for him and the tragedy that happened fourteen years earlier - I cannot image the horrors of that. It was difficult to read his journey, but I did feel like there was peace in the end.
All in all, I loved Autumn Skies and highly recommend it. I cannot wait for Denise Hunter's next novel.

First I love all of Denise's words and this trilogy was fantastic. Grace is spunky, independent, and kind. Wyatt is an intense secret service agent. Both of them are dealing with childhood trauma. Grace has survivors guilt. Wyatt is trying to get to the other side of his tragedy and reclaim his life. They both want to find closure with their past. Wyatt clicks with Grace and he wants her alongside him for this journey. Being with Grace soothes his soul. They bring peace to each other. Denise totally brings these characters and places to life. I cannot express my love for this trilogy. I would recommend any of Denise's books for anyone who loves character driven stories with wonderful faith messages and romance.
Another 4 star read for me! With the title Autumn Skies I was really hoping for more of a fall atmosphere but it was still a good setting and overall a captivating romance. There still wasn’t much faith content in this but more than the last book I read. I have to say however that I hate the word mewling!
I think this series about the Bluebell Inn is her best. I simply feel in love with everyone and the way each of the characters lives intersected makes you think these stories are real. Denise Hunter is one of my favorite authors.
Wow! I loved this story. Grace and Wyatt have an instant connection. They are both broken and looking for closure and I think that makes their bind even stronger. There were some intense times, some heartbreaking times, but also swoony times. I loved the connection and draw they had and that it wasn't all physical. They really connected on many levels. I read the first book in this series and enjoyed that Molly still had a part in this book. However, I haven't read Levi's book, but didn't feel like I was missing out on parts of Grace's story. So even though it's a series, I think this book could be read as a standalone.
I received a complimentary early copy from the publisher through Netgalley. This is my honest review.

It was a great final book in the series that wrapped everything up in a satisfying way.
