CAPTURED
Captured is the story of Logan, a former Marine, who is given a job by his close friend John (and former brother in arms) as a high-end bodyguard with Orion Protection Service (OPS). When John's secret attempt to rescue a group of girls abducted by a Mexican cartel is uncovered, he sends Logan to keep the cartel from abducting his sister Cadie in retaliation. Logan's normally stoic disposition is rattled by his intense feelings for Cadie as he struggles to keep her safe and not break the trust of her brother. Cadie has always distanced herself from her brother's business, but when Logan takes her to the Tavern, a place where the men of OPS are treated like military royalty, she finds acceptance amongst her new family. Now she’s torn between going back to her old life and being with Logan, a man unlike any man she's ever known, all while being hunted by a gang her brother has enraged. Cadie finds herself between action-packed and romantic scenes that get the heart racing throughout the story.

Now would I give this author another round definitely

Captured is the first book in the Orion Protection Series and debut novel for Skylar Kingsley and I can just say she did a fantastic job bringing this story and characters to life.
There is action, romance, friendship, sexy moments, funny moments, this book has it all and once I started reading It couldn’t put the book down.
The main characters of this story are Logan and Cadie but we get a little bit of background on the secondary characters as well and I can tell you this series is going to be a really good one .
Logan is an ex-marine trying to move from past wounds and just wants a stable life. He works for Orion Protection services for Cadie’s hot brothers John and Alex. The attraction between Logan and Cadie is explosive and they both sparked in each other something that they’ve never felt before. Logan is torn about his feelings, he doesn’t want to let John and Alex down. When something happens to John in a case that he is doing Logan is forced to keep Cadie’s life safe.
Their journey is something you don’t want to miss reading and I can’t wait for Alex’s book.

This is a fabulous debut novel by Skylar Kingsley. The chemistry between Logan and Cadie was palpable from the very moment they met and just wouldn’t let up.
I was attracted by the real life Marine on the cover, as well as the author being married to a Marine and found that the authenticity added to my enjoyment. Will definitely keep following.

Ok so this was Ms Kingsley’s first book EVER! And she is married to a Marine in active duty...I had to give this book a read just for that reason alone! I will always support my brothers and sisters in the service. So, that enticed me to open the book...let me tell you what made me keep reading the book...these are good guys doing good things! These are some semi broken, brothers in arms trying to carry on after their service ends. How do they do that? Through the Orion Protection Service (OPS).
This is a team of badass Marines, not rangers, not SEALS, just boots on the ground badass Marines! Each one has a story, and this being the first book in the series we get a glimpse of their backgrounds, which left me wanting more! I want to know more about John, Alex, and Greyson...hmmm Greyson 😘. There I go getting distracted again...this book is Logan and Cadie’s book.
Logan was loyal, honest, and courageous! He didn’t have things easy, a 💩childhood, tough missions and a handsy client. All Logan wants to do is work on his cabin in the woods and keep to himself:...that is until he meets Cadie, John and Alex’s little sister. 😬 Uh oh...what could go wrong?
Cadie is all work no play, lives a boring and safe life, and has a tendency to date boring and safe men. That’s no fun. She meets Logan at the company Christmas party...and folks there aren’t just fireworks 💥, there are grenades going off with the chemistry between these two!
Now the story gets good!!! There are bad guys, good guys, a good storyline, and great characters! This book kept me up until 3am reading because I couldn’t put it down! I had become invested in the story and sure I had to work today, but that’s what a pot of coffee is for! This book was great! So Brenda, have you been drinking? Why not five stars???
Why yes, I was sipping on some Old Hamer 🥃 bourbon when I started reading...but that wasn’t the reason. I found the sex scenes had some descriptions that I couldn’t quite get on board with and they threw me off a little. I had to be honest a take a 🌟 for the sexy times.

Captured is the debut novel by Skylar Kingsley. The Orion Protection series follows member of a high end protection agency made up of ex military men.
Captured focus' on former Marine, Logan. He is a tall, muscled , tattoo hero who is sick of women only wanted him for one thing. He just wants to settle down and start a family, but he doesn't believe it's in the cards for him. Enter , Cadie, Logan's best friend and boss's sister. She is professional yet down to earth. She is used to playing it safe and Logan is so far out of her usual, but she can't deny her attraction to him. When she finds herself being hunted by the Mexican cartel , Logan will do anything in his power to keep her safe. He has to find a way to keep Cadie safe without letting his attraction for her cloud his judgement.
"I knew I didn't deserve her, but I would do anything and everything for her. Maybe that was enough."
The characters in the novel were well-rounded, I like both our main characters and the supporting cast. Logan is your typical strong bad a** sexy ex marine with a sweet heart. He wants to find his match and start a family in the cabin he built himself in the woods. He is very good book boyfriend material. Cadie was a great female lead, she wasn't ditsy or wishy-washy with her feelings. She was smart, capable and kept a level head in times of crisis. Heads Up- there is a whole lot of sex in this book. It starts off as a slow burn but it gets to a point, especially at the end, where the sex scenes get to be one too many in my opinion. The scenes themselves weren't bad but not written in a way , word wise, that I typically enjoy. I was more invested in the story line and the what the characters were getting up to outside the bedroom.
"Logan woke something deep inside me. I was all passion and no plan. For the first time, I was leading with my heart and it felt amazing."
In the end , Captured by Skylar Kingsley was an entertaining military erotica romance story. I would certainly be interested in reading future realeses in the Orion Protection series.

Captured is the first book in the Orion protection Series by Skylar Kingsley and boy is it a good read. There is a slow burning romance between the two main characters that then burns out of control.
Cadie’s family own and work for the Orion Protection Service, with the death of her parents, her brothers have become overprotective and are trying to get Cadie to come work for them. But Cadie is happy in the high-flying competitive job or is she. Forced into hiding due to her brothers attempt at rescuing abducted girls in Mexico, Cadie is thrust into a world of danger and passion when her bodyguard, former Marine and worker at OPS, Logan is given the task of keeping her safe.
Cadie and Logan were both amazing characters who really made this story. I love that Cadie is sassy, knows what she wants in life and isn’t scared to go and get it. Logan is the typical red-blooded, strong protector who has been burnt before. These two characters mesh so well together and although they both bring some baggage to the table; they really seem to get each other. The steamy scenes between the two are hot and certainly make you want to keep turning the page.
There is enough suspense in this book to keep you reading and at times the story deals with some pretty harsh truths of this world; human trafficking, PTSD and relationship breakups to name but a few but when you have characters like Logan, Cadie’s brothers and the folks of the Tavern, you know that you’re always going to be safe. Secondary characters were amazing in this book and it definitely left me wanting more by this awesome author.
A must read for all steamy, suspense, military romance fans!

Captured is about more than just Logan and Cadie, it introduces a set of well-rounded and intriguing secondary characters, and sets the foundations of an exciting storyline that will obviously flow throughout the rest of the series.
However, this IS Cadie and Logan's story, and at the heart of it all are two beautifully flawed, strong and likeable characters. Cadie is sweet and strong, with a personal learning curve to make through the book. No spoilers, but in the climactic scene I love how she doesn't sit and wait to be rescued - she thinks for herself and doesn't stop fighting. Logan is the perfect hero: damaged, smart and tough. Who wouldn't be impressed with a man who can build his own house?! The fact that it's a real marine on the cover makes Logan come alive more (and then the little mention of his 'ten inches' doesn't hurt with his hero appeal either!)
A book packed with sizzling sex and swoon-worthy romantic lines, such as: 'I wanted her. And only her. She was wild, headstrong, and when she smiled, I could see my future in the glint of her eyes.'
Looking forward to the next instalment!

I love this book! I typically read historical fiction and biography, but HAD to snag a copy of Captured the day it released. The author, herself, has an extremely interesting and diverse background (read the bio on the back!), which is more than evident in her writing. For example...her accomplishments in martial arts bring to us a sprinkling of self defense techniques... how cool is that? She’s done her research.
The author brings the story to life. I can visualize exactly what the characters might look like from her descriptions- but she doesn’t OVER describe everything. (Which wears me out) Honestly, I often find myself skimming here and there when reading most books, but I did not do that at all with this book. It’s just GOOD. The characters are intriguing (you really LIKE them and find them relatable), there was an interesting plot and the sexy scenes are H.O.T. (Can I be Cadie for a day? Please? lol) I am excited to read the next book in the series! Look forward to seeing what they do next! ❤️

I love discovering new authors. Especially, when they can write like this. Considering this is a debut author I am very impressed. This author did a great job at world-building and setting the stage for what looks like many more possible books to come.
Very interesting characters and a lot of things going on. Normally, I would have liked to have the story primarily focus on the characters that are involved in this particular story but can understand that this is the foundation for the rest of their stories. I see great things about where this series could go. The steam in this book is HOT. However, I would have loved if the characters hadn't gone the instant-love route and instead built on their chemistry. That is largely just me as a reader though because I have never been a fan of instant love as it often feels cheesy. I like to see the relationship evolve and grow.
Looking forward to more from this author. I see great things for her as an author.

I really enjoyed this debut story from Ms Kingsley. Her knowledge and understanding of the military life was very apparent. Unfortunately the mission the OPS boys embarked on is all too real!
I loved Logan.... everyone needs a Logan in their life😉. Cadie was a lovely character and it was great to follow her journey of realising that she too has the strength and ability to live up to her Mcallister name. I’m not usually an insta love fan but this story had great dialogue and humour which helped it along.
I’m looking forward to Alex ‘the tart’ meeting his match!!!!

This is an action packed book and I couldn't put it down. I appreciate the effort of the author in writing a story so breathtaking like. Cadie is so lucky to have a man like Logan who can and is willing to do anything to protect. Isn't that every girl's dream.Anyone who likes action will definitely fall in love with this book and the characters.

This book is literal fire!! Not only is it exciting and have an intriguing plot line, but the characters pull you in quickly.
And the cherry on top: all of the spicy scenes. Make sure you have a glass of ice water and a fan handy, this book scorches.

Skylar Kingsley has taken on a huge task in Captured, (Orion Protection Series). She has laid out the story behind Orion, she has introduced the main characters for this story and the rest of the folks at Orion (which I’m sure is where the rest of the stories will evolve from), she has introduced side characters, again they promise to make a reappearance and she has taken on the huge task of weaving a story of two people into all of this. In my opinion she has done a superb job!
The hero and heroine of this story are Logan and Cadie. Logan served several tours of duty with Cadie’s older brothers John and Alex. Orion is John’s business. As the company name suggest they are in the protection business. John has always wanted Cadie to come to work for him, but she has been trying to make her own life in the city and not be dependent on her brothers.
From the moment Logan and Cadie meet each other there is an attraction to each other. The sexual tension between these two during this story is off the charts! Logan has reasons why he feels being able to start a relationship with Cadie is doomed. He could be right, then again he could be wrong as well.
Kingsley has done well bringing in the dangerous part of the story. The story line there is solid. She has woven humor, indecision, friendships, abduction and a rescue into this story. She keeps the heat in the relationship climbing the entire read and there are times your sure there is smoke coming from that chapter.
I’m very much looking forward to reading the next story in this series.

John has always wanted Cadie to come to work for him, but she has been trying to make her own life in the city and not be dependent on her brothers.
From the moment Logan and Cadie meet each other there is an attraction to each other. The sexual tension between these two during this story is off the charts! Logan has reasons why he feels being able to start a relationship with Cadie is doomed. He could be right, then again he could be wrong as well.
Kingsley has done well bringing in the dangerous part of the story. The story line there is solid. She has woven humor, indecision, friendships, abduction and a rescue into this story. She keeps the heat in the relationship climbing the entire read and there are times your sure there is smoke coming from that chapter.
I’m very much looking forward to reading the next story in this series.

Captured was a fun read and introduction to the Orion Protection Services world. I'm a sucker for an ex-Marine turned bodyguard. Give me a whole business and literary world built around ex-Marines and I was in heaven. I enjoyed this debut novel by Skylar Kingsley. The McCallister family is full of bad asses with a soft spot for women in need. Hopefully we will see more of them in future Orion Protection series books. I also liked that this book was told between Logan and Cadie's POVs. Dual POV is always great. I would have liked to have seen more action. Some of the action scenes were short or talked about and not experienced. I also struggled with Cadie a little. By chapter 13 she had already fallen asleep or passed out four times. That was a tad annoying. Overall this was a good debut novel and I hope book two comes out soon!

This book had everything danger, angst, friendship loyalty steamy sex sense with a good bit of humour thrown in what more do you need!!
I loved the chemistry between Logan and Cadie their flirty banter and desire for each other ending in an explosive relationship.
Logan is loyal and since leaving the marines he was worked with his brothers in arms the Mcallister’s brothers at their bodyguard security business. They have not only become his bosses but his family. Logan is broken from his time in the forces and his ex leaving him alone. But when he meets the Mcallister’s little sister Cadie she turns his world upside down. When she becomes in danger Logan does everything in his power to protect her.
Logan fights his feelings out of loyalty for his brothers in arms but sometimes love is just too powerful.
This is a must-read and I can’t wait for book 2 Stripped

Wow . Can anyone say hotness overload ?. Captured , Orion Protection Service by Author Skylar Kingsley was off the charts overloaded with Alpha Marines and boy were they Alpha.! This story was about Logan an ex Marine who works for Orion Protection Service doing bodyguard work for the rich and not so rich , if there was someone that needed protecting it didn't matter what their occupation he was first to raise his hand for the job. Like most military men who come home from a war their lives are forever changed and they seek out their brother's in arms because they know what hell they just came through. Orion is a protective business made up of ex Marines who do what they do best and that's protect. When Logan meets Cadie his boss John and Alex little sister he knows she's meant to be his but due to his past issues with trust he has built up a mighty great Wall around his fractured heart. He can't stop thinking about her and when her life is in danger he does what he does best and protects her with every fiber of his being. When trouble comes knocking all bets are off nobody touches what belongs to Logan and he and the men of Orion Protection Service along with their bounty Hunter mates set out to bring her home the only way they know how , All Guns A Blazin !. I really enjoyed this story and I can't wait to read the next book as soon as it's available . I loved all the characters in this book they are strong independent virtuous and are a family regardless of blood. I think I have a new appreciation for the Marines that's for sure. Skylar Kingsley writes with a knowledge of marine life and the impacts it has on them when returning to civilian life . It's easily represented through out the book which gives it just that much more honesty to the story line. I highly recommend this book and look forward to reading more in the future.

Ops security men
This is a new author to me and I loved this book so much I did not want it to end. I’m hoping to here more about Logan and Caddie in the next book. I felt bad for Logan thinking he wasn’t good enough for Caddie and fighting his feelings for her. I loved how he resisted that horrible woman who thought she was above everyone else. You can really feel the brotherhood between these men and that they would do anything for each other. It was a very well written book and I’m recommending it to be read. I’m very excited for Skylars next book Alex

Such an exciting story with easy to love characters! I hate having to get to know new characters and these guys made it easy to jump into their world and love then from the beginning. Excited for this debut author and can’t wait to read what’s next!

Captured was amazing. It's first book by Skylar Kingsley and she gets better and better through the book. Logan and Cadie go an amazing adventure, that made me smile and laugh, and their attraction was HOT! Action was well writen and it was such a great part of the story. Can't wait to get back to OPS.

I really enjoyed reading this book. It was quite different from most the books I normally read, with its exmilitary/protection service theme... and that’s a good thing.
I absolutely loved Logan and Cadie’s story. The chemistry between was palpable from the moment they laid eyes on each other. Logan’s character was perfect for me, even with his visible and invisible scars. He was a loyal, trustworthy and honourable man, who loved and cared for his family, and would do anything to protect them. Life had not treated him well and if there was one person who deserved a second chance at love, it was definitely him.
Cadie was a beautiful, headstrong and independent young woman. She was determined to prove to herself, and her brothers, that she could make it on her own in the world. She led a very boring and safe life. Her days consists of work, work and more work, with no time for family or socialising. Due to unforeseen circumstances, her life is turned upside down and she is put in to Logan’s pathway, who is assigned to protect her from some unsavoury characters.
This book was well written with a great storyline and interesting characters. There were enough twists and turns in the book to keep me invested in the story and keep the pages turning. Oh, and the sex scenes were smouldering hot! Seriously, Logan is all Alpha male and an amazing lover! Captured is the first book in the Orion Protection Series, with the next book Stripped coming out soon. Do yourself a favour and go grab your copy today. You’ll really enjoy it!

This book is the debut for this amazing author, before I write the review, I have to say that I am surprised with this book, it´s really good!!! The writing is just so easy and fresh, the story manages to stay always on top and to never have a dull moment at all. And just so you know, Skylar is married to a Marine…yeah soooo you know that she truly is delivering the real deal and I am so glad she took one step further and became a writer.
Logan is a former Marine and currently working for one of his former bother in arms John, who´s got a protection services agency, and Logan is one of the best after Afghanistan. He knows how to protect and he feels good working in an environment he knows. But something is missing for Logan, women always seek out to him for a good night, nothing more; and Logan is getting tired of that, even with his hard exterior, he wants something more, he wants to feel whole and loved by the right woman.
Cadie is John´s sister, she works so hard for the life she wants, and after losing her parents, her brothers always are looking out for her. But in the relationship department…well let´s say that she always goes for the safe bet. So when she meets Logan, she´s know that he´s the risk she wasn´t willing to take…until him.
But when things get complicated with a Mexican cartel after one job John keep from all of them, Cadie is at risk and Logan knows that he can´t let anything happen to her, even if has to break a few of his rules.
Just to be extra clear, in case there´s any doubt, Skylar for sure will be in my favorite author list, I mean a first time author that manages to make her own book cover with a real Marine and to make her own photoshoot, you know she´s going to get bigger and better with every book. So it´s sure I´ll be pending of every single book she has to write.

Right to my review..... This is one of my fave tropes and not an easy one to write but OMG this book is good.
I was invested in the characters, intrigued and loved the story despite its honest real world twists and turns.
The sex scenes were hot and god the guys sound delicious.
This book is well constructed, has a great plot and set of characters with stories I just NEED to know more of.
I cannot wait for book two!
Anyone who lives a military romance this lady knows her shit and you should read it ASAP.
