When his father was ill Knox left his successful career in NY and return to Bachelor Mountain to take over his job grooming the slopes on Bachelor Mountain. Maya is managing the event on the mountain for the company she works for and ends up working as the bartender for one of the events.
When she is left on the mountain Knox is sent to find her and before they reach the bottom of the mountain the chemistry between them ignites but is it just a fling or the start of forever?

She sees him for himself and he likes her for herself
Sometimes you can find what you didn't even know you were missing when you least expect it. That is what happens for both Jefferson Knox and Maya Goodwell. Knox came back from NYC to Bachelor Mountain last year after his father had injured his back. He was needed to fill in for his father as part of the grooming crew since he had done it when he was a teenager. When he was in NYC he made millions working in a hedge fund but he never knew was was missing. That is until he got back to Bachelor Mountain, started working, adopted a cute dog and got himself a cabin in the woods with the best view from the front window.
Maya grew up in Rhode Island and came to Colorado after graduating college as she knew she wanted out of her parents home. So when she answered an ad and was offered the job with Alpine Beverages as an event coordinator she took the chance and loved being out in the Colorado, even if it was cold. Alpine Beverages has been contracted to supply all the "adult beverages" at all event over the "Meet a Celebrity" weekend with Brett Carnegie. When Callahan sisters get sick at the last minute Maya is down a bartender and two servers for the weekend. While her assistant Deb is only able to get two servers Maya is forced to become the bartender for the Wednesday night dinner event at the Ptarmigan Lodge, located at the top of lift seven..
The dinner is a logistical nightmare as it means hauling all the booze, glass and tableware, kitchen, food, etc. up the mountain to the lodge, as it is the remotest and had limited services. In order to do this Bachelor Mountain maintenance crew will be providing two drivers and two snow cats. One of those drivers is Knox and of course Beau riding shotgun in the cat with him. The event is a smash, with most of the guests getting slightly smashed from the open bar, signature cocktail, wine and signature after dinner cocktail. The guests are all taken down the mountain first in the two cats as the crew packs everything up. When the cats are loaded up for the second trip down everyone leaves the lodge while Maya takes one last walk around to ensure that they got everything. By the time she locks the door and closes the door she discovers that she is all alone..........they have left her up there. With no cell service and no way back into the lodge she hunkers down against the door and curls in to try to stay warm, only eight hours until the early crew will come up the lift. But she does not have that long to wait as a while later a snow cat's lights come over the ridge and out steps Knox calling her name. They are quickly on their way back down but it is just one of those nights when things don't go right. The snow cat Knox had been driving did not sound right so he borrowed from Mark which ended up running out of gas half way down. This set's off the explosive chemistry between them and before they can even breath they are sharing more than body heat and making a lot of fog inside the snow cat. Afterwards they are rescued yet again and Knox invites Maya to check out the view from his cabin. It turns out she likes that view a lot, along with Beau!!!
This is an entertaining short story that is well written and has an engaging story-line. The characters, both Maya and Knox and the supporting characters, along with Beau, are all wonderfully written.

This is a good new story in the "Bachelor Mountain" series written by one of the Flirt Club writers. It's a short story and a fairly quick read. This is Maya and Knox's story. I like these two and their story. Maya works for Alpine Beverage who are working and planning the beverages for the Bachelor Mountain Ski Resort for their big celebrity weekend. Some of her workers cancel so she ends up bar-tending one of the events. Knox works at the resort an is helping get the food, drink, supplies and people to the dinner up at one of the more remote lodges. She ends up getting stranded alone in the cold until she is rescued by him. A very sexy, sweet story with pretty much instant attraction and loads of chemistry.

Maya has an event to organise, although like all things planned, items can go wrong, like the sisters she hired to do the bartending and waiting, pulling out last minute. Now she has to help take their place (seeing no one else was available), then later she gets left behind. Luckily Knox figures it out quickly, and goes to retrieve her back, although her rescue doesn't go as smooth as it should. And they end up with some alone time together. Can this turn into something more for them? I loved this quick romance, and the driven pair who find their happy ending.

A short quick story in the A Bachelor Mountain Series it is well written. Maya Goodwell and Jefferson Knox's story of two people who fit really well together as they have the same kind of ethics. Their saying is “A place for everything,” “And everything in its place.” I also enjoyed Beau Knox's dog he fit in really well with them. I hope there is more to come in this series. This is another great story by Laney Powell. I loved every minute of it. I didn’t want it to end. Maya has always been a go-getter and Knox is a detail orientated guy who changed his life. They discuss a connection one night when they are working an event together. Will they realize that they are perfect for each other?

This is a quick read with nice characters who are obviously meant to be together and the circumstances that make this happen. I thought the characters were developed and likeable. The story flowed well and made me smile during my lunch break.

I received this short story as a ARC read and voluntarily provide my review. This story is about 2 people, Maya and Knox who find insta love stuck in the snow in a arctic cat. Not much other story line there. It is a very quick read. Would have enjoyed a little longer and more detailed storyline. The book was a happy tale with a HEA which was nice to see.

A straightforward guy meets girl, girl wants guy no mucking round. Beau was a nice addition which just made it sweet. Family means alot to Knox so making his life in the mountains makes sense. Maya likes the simplicity so their HEA seems to work

An outstanding and enjoyable fast pace addition to the Bachelor Mountain Resort series! The story line is emotionally deep, well written, funny, and relatable. The characters are intriguing and likeable; the chemistry between them instant and off the charts. Definitely recommended!

Maya is a non-nonsense woman and is tired of men who only care about themselves. While working as a bartender at an event for the company she works for meets Knox, a snow cat driver. When Maya gets stranded in the mountain, Knox comes to the.rescue and their attraction is instant. Knox wants a woman that sees him not his job or his money and he finds that with Maya in this sexy read.

I like this author but this story is way to short to be so darn repetitive. How many times can you fit in "No one here saw me as I was—they only saw me as Knox, the maintenance guy. Just like they’d seen me as Knox, the kick ass manager rolling in the cash when I lived in New York. The women I met here wanted the guy I used to be. Not the guy I am."

Maya is working on the meet the celebrity weekend and when half her staff calls off she has to find replacements quick. This leaves her manning the bar to get drinks served. When the event ends she is packing everything up and her ride leaves her behind. Thinking no one was coming back she gets ready to try and walk down in the cold. Knox can't believe that they forgot a person and he is sent back for her. Sparks fly between them as they ride down. However neither expected to run out of gas on the way back. Things heat up between them and they hook up What will happen once they are off the mountain? Will Knox show Maya they have what it takes to be together?
This is a great story once I started it I couldn't put it down. The chemistry between them is scorching hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

This book is part of the Bachelor Mountain series. Knox is the guy who grooms the trails at night with his dog, Beau. Maya is at the ski resort as a bartender because the original staff for the night has fallen ill. When the event winds to a close and Maya is left behind, the beautiful evening changes completely. Knox and Maya have great chemistry but is it enough to burn forever? A great, fast paced, insta-love story that will give you the feeling of being on the side of the mountain but have you warm and cozy in your favorite reading place. Enjoy!

This was a great start to the new Bachelor Mountain series. I felt sufficiently cold whilst reading it, especially when Maya is stranded at the cabin!
It had a great build-up of story, and I felt like we got to know the characters before they got down to the dirty.
This was a very fast-paced love story, but I felt as if we got enough of the characters to feel a connection with them. The happy ever after at the end was great; it had just the right amount of perfect without it being too cheesy.
Overall this was a great read and a quick escape from all the crazy that is going on in the world right now!
