Lily (Walker Creek Brides Book 3) by Miriam Minger 5 Stars
Lily is a beautiful heartfelt story about a famous actress who had become sick and with her doctor’s advice to get her affairs in order she set out to Walker Creek Texas. The last time she was in Walker Creek she was just 17 and all alone. Her family had disowned her and she found herself reeling from the loss of her beloved husband in the war. She came back desperate to know if her son had lived beyond the night she put her sick baby on the town doctor’s porch 25 years ago. This story steadily tugged at my heart while vivid and imperfect characters came to life. The moving storyline is creative and passionate with ties of past mistakes, regrets, understanding, forgiveness, and ultimately finding happiness and love!
I loved this read and I recommend it to everyone!

A woman going back to the town she thought she'd never step foot in again. A man sees a second chance at love and another excellent book by Miriam. What more could you ask for?
Lily had to stop for a moment as she and her lady's maid Monique were walking to the hotel since there was no transportation in sight. She could hear the doctor delivering her diagnosis of a heart ailment, "I can't say if you have a half year left or maybe weeks, Lily, so it's time to get your affairs in order." So she set out to Walker Creek where she had left her son twenty five years ago with strangers and she had sworn never to come back.
But life had changed for Lily and she had made a career as a singer. She just wanted to see her son and make him understand her reasons for leaving him and that she had loved him dearly before something happened.
Caleb Walker, who owned the hotel came in as Lily arrived and recognized her. But he could see see was fatigued and looked ready to collapse so he gave her his own room since they were all booked up for a wedding.
He was struck at once with her beauty. She was focused on finding her soon. But the journey would be a fraught with many twist and turns. Wildfires, villains, emotions so strong they will grip your heart while hope and love try to make it's way to these two people who deserve it greatly!!
As always, I fell in love with the characters that the author brought to life and have enjoyed all of this series tremendously. Don't miss Lily, Ingrid or Kari. You will not forget them anytime soon

Suspenseful incidents, emotional choices, and an appealing couple make the latest Walker Creed Brides story riveting from beginning to end. I have enjoyed the two previous books, but LILY really captured my full attention on numerous occasions, especially with the uncertainty of how an event would conclude. There was a great desire for me to discover what would eventually happen to the many characters who had come to mean much to me, plus to find out whether a relationship would be possible between the main couple or not.
Though Lily Talbot has agreed to perform at the playhouse in Walker Creek, Texas, her thoughts upon arrival are more concerned with an occurrence from twenty-five years ago. Circumstances led to her secretly giving her infant son to a couple whom she hoped would cherish him as she so wanted to do. Also on her mind is the fact that she is seriously ill, which makes it all the more important to learn about the man who would now be all grown-up. One of the first citizens met is Caleb Walker, a town leader, and it seems as though they are both surprisingly drawn to each other.
Once again, the enchanting touch of magic in this series put a big smile on my face when the scene played out, and Miriam Minger knows exactly where the moment will have the most impact. There are also plenty of situations which left me almost breathless with anticipation, as I had no clue as to what might befall Lily, Caleb, or other individuals for whom I had come to care deeply. The author certainly made these incidents come across as gripping, and I was always caught up in each heart-pounding set of circumstances. There is lots of realism in LILY, and I was immediately pulled into the storyline of a woman looking for answers to her long-held secret and the man who has been alone for way too many years.

Another Wonderful Story in the Walker Creek Brides series! Miriam Minger gives readers a book that is well-written. Lily is filled with a magnificent cast of characters that you find yourself drawn into their story. With old friends coming together to celebrate Caleb and Lily's. love for each other and fighting for their love. It's a short sweet romance filled with drama, trials and tribulations, family love, twists and turns make this one outstanding read that you won't want to miss. It hooked me from the start and kept me turning the pages to the very end. Remarkable emotions, and unforgettable character. I look forward to the next book in the series!

This was a clean older couple historical romance. Caleb and Lily both needed redemption, he from the harsh life he lived before and she from being forced to give up her baby boy years ago. After being told she is dying, Lily travels to Walker Creek to try to find her son and meet him before the end. But this story doesn’t wrap up neatly. There’s a raging wildfire at the ranch and dastardly people afoot. It was great to catch up with the characters from the previous books and have some things resolved and secrets revealed.

Another Miriam Minger Win
What could be more delicious in a romance novel than opening with a wedding? Closing with one too!
This clever author packed the pages of her novella FULL. Suspense, a dark mystery, an evil villain, a puppet master pulling strings, a threatening wild fire, a hope filled quest, gorgeous cowboys, a beautiful actress, a huge loving family, a guardian angel, at least three miracles and gratitude. All this plus two weddings!
Of course five stars - I was caught in the web of a master story teller!

Another sweet success from the town of Walker Creek. Like the others in the series, it’s a book you can sit down and read in one setting. Caleb Walker, the town patriarch, has turned over a new leaf in his life and is handsomely rewarded with love. Lily is in town trying to reconnect with the son she gave up 25 years ago. Caleb gets to play the hero to his lady love and save her from certain disaster.

Long lost love
This inspirational romance and historical romance really touched my soul. Especially Tante Kari and her warnings. They are always right on time but that's how God works. Lily came to Walker Creek to findher long lost son but found so much more than that. Not including danger, Love of a man and family, and the belief in angels. This is a wonderful story and I would recommend any one to read it.

Great story
Caleb- owner of a ranch never wanted to love again after his true love married some one else
Lily-a renown actress who believes to be in poor health so she wants to find her son that she had to "give away ".
I enjoyed reading this captivating story that is well written with charismatic characters. Their story has a wonderfully sweet HEA!

Walker family continued
I truly enjoyed reading the 3rd book in this series. It was another sweet romance for the Walker family. I did not expect who Lily falls in love with. Now I want to know who is next to catch the love bug!

Caleb and Lily
This is a sweet love story by Miriam Minger. She has done a very good job putting together the plot and has created a mixed cast of characters, both reoccurring and new ones. I enjoyed reading this tale. It has a big surprise in the story and a happily ever after.

💞 Lily and Caleb 💞
Sweet and romantic! Still can’t get over the radical change in Caleb… but he really became a great guy!
Poor Lily! I had a feeling things weren’t what they seemed. Thankfully it all worked out in the end.
Speaking of the end, I am disappointed in the ending of this story. Not enough details regarding main points in the story. Without giving spoilers, there was a really abrupt ending after all the build up regarding who Lily’s son was. Thus, the four stars instead of five.

This is the 3rd book I read by Miriam Minger. I loved ❤ this book's storyline. I loved ❤ the Christian theme in this story. I loved ❤ Caleb's character. I loved ❤ Lily's character. I loved ❤ the updates on the others. I loved ❤ the ending. Awesome job Minger.
