Bonus book of The Freed Billionaire Spencer Christmas Trilogy.
Newlyweds Spencer Christmas and Jada Forte are struggling to keep their relationship above water in light of his senatorial campaign against Jada’s mother, Patricia Forte. But this couple won’t go down without a fight, especially when they get unexpected news that changes everything.
“A romance that warms the heart atop a backdrop of political strife, intra-family friction, and old money—a solidly pleasant read.” Libybet R. G., Proofreader, Red Adept Editing
Z.L. Arkadie is stepping into a new era of emotionally rich, upmarket romance that sweeps you away and thrills your heart in the best possible way. Her upcoming stories promise the kind of passion, longing, and intensity that pull you out of the everyday and into something unforgettable. For readers who crave stories that ache, soar, and stay with you—this is where it begins.
This the final and bonus book 📚📖 of the The Freed Billionaire Spencer series. I loved Spencer and Jada's story. It was a fabulous ending to this series. Politics is a dirty profession for the most part. There are lies told. Secrets revealed. There's betrayal even if it means at times hurting your own family. As the titled says people were exposed in this story. The campaign managers, the opponents and even people who felt that they wanted to even some type of what they felt had been done to hurt them. Jim Novell for example was a bad candidate and he felt he had to try to get dirt on Spencer Christmas to get back at his supposed being wronged. I loved this story and because Spencer's story is the first series I read so I am going to read Jasper and Holly's story before I read Bryn and Asher's story, the twins. Highly recommend this series, this book 📚📖. This was a good read.
I thought the author and/or editor improved with this second series in the family saga. However, a major set of errors in this book was the flipping back and forth with references to the candidate Michael Dunn as Michael Black. Very bad editing. Also, there is an author’s note at the beginning about the family name change from Christmas to Blackstone. No explanation why, but it seemed overdue. Thus, a four star rating.
I did enjoy the drama, but I wanted a bit more regarding Jada and her family. The ending is a good lead-in to Asher’s story. Since I’ve already read his story, I’ll mention that the drama does indeed continue in the Asher books. Now I must read Bryan’s book.
Though it was good to see how Spencer and Jada finished up, I would’ve like more emphasis on the whole family getting to know each other rather than endless cut throat politics. There was really winner after all that discussion. I skimmed through much of this one. Disappointed at Patricia’s outcome since she was so fierce in the beginning. More time could’ve been spent on that. Also should have told Spencer and Jada’s family outcome instead of leading to the next book which I already read. All in all this was a great very entertaining series.
I loved all the book in both series about Jasper and Spencer. Now please tell me your going to finish the Spencer series. It sucked the way it ended in the last book. I’m very upset. Unless it starts again in Asher first book?
Against all the odds they continue to love each other, put their needs as a couple first and have THE BEST sex life. This author never fails to deliver the most sensual and realistic love scenes. I feel naughty reading those sections of the book on public transport.
This new addition to the trilogy builds extremely well on the first. We get to see how our fav couple are doing now they are man and wife and entering into the seedy world of politics. In the UK they say politics is showbiz for ugly people, but this shows us that it's the personalities and their staff that show the true ugliness.
We meet new characters to love, as well as hate and a previous central character pops up very unexpectedly, but very welcomed. They've grown and I can see that they may have a book or three in their future too.
Z.L Arkadie delivers a great read once again and I cannot wait for the explosive last book, the cliff hanger in book 2 is a doozie and made me scream in frustration. Bring on book 3!
I read this book in advance for my honest review.

I loved this book! Z.L. Arkadie has really brought the Christmas’s to light. This book cannot be read as a stand-alone, you must read the series from the beginning to really understand the characters and the story line. But be warned they will captivate you and you will want to know more and more. Jada and Spencer make a great team and can overcome anything in their path, even Jada’s mother, they always have each other’s back. There are a lot of surprises and the author sets up nicely for future books for Bryn and Asher. A must read!!
This book follows Spencer Christmas and you do need to read the books prior to this to understand the background and what is happening and why. Fortunately I’ve read and loved them all and this book is great. This book now follows Spencer and Jada through politics, and along the way people are playing dirty!! Really enjoyed and looking forward to the next book
