Significance and Means of Self-Knowledge

Rate this book
"The real glory of being human is understanding oneself or human experience, as non-dual consciousness, immortality, perfect happiness, and truth of all existence."

This book is about understanding that knowledge of one's self is a qualitative measure of one's well-being. In other words, self-knowledge determines our true well-being. If I understand the significance of self-knowledge, I find the key of how to be happy and safe at all times and everywhere irrespective of objective conditions surrounding me.

This book dives into human personality. Not only does it show the connection of human suffering with its root, self-ignorance, but it also provides the means to acquire self-knowledge. Once I understand the significance of self-knowledge, then I want it. Because self-knowledge is the subtle origin and resolution of all secular knowledge, the means of self-knowledge that train the mind are indispensable. The self becomes in reaching distance of the self when these tools of self-knowledge are practiced.

This book is a self help book based one the topic of self realisation. It helps to understand a human personality from its roots. It shows the importance of self love and self realisation. It also shows the connection of human suffering with its main cause like ignorance to what you actually want and feel. The author has also provided remedy i.e. the means to gain self-knowledge. So if the human being once understand what he wants and needs, half way is done to his self satisfaction as knowledge about oneself is the ultimate goal. If you know yourself more that anything then you can achieve anything. The narration is good and simple making it a comfortable read for all. I loved the simple explanation given by the author. The language used is lucid.

I was asked to review by Lovereading.co.uk and never has there been a perfect time to read this and take your time to absorb this. The world is in unprecedented times and uncertainty we can certainly now look at happiness, sorrow and yes uncertainty. So readers if you have started before looking at self knowledge or some of you may have heaps of time you never though you would have till you retire or go on long term sick. You may never get a time to look at this and you may just learn about your own mortality.
Well researched and so well written and the reader is at ease with the style of writing.

Recommended.

I liked the premise of the book and I wanted to like it but it was really hard to slog through all of the errors. It badly needs a copy editor. But hats off to the author for self-publishing his work.
