I worship Faye’s body every night. I touch and taste, explore and learn, pleasure and adore. Unreservedly. And she gives herself to me with a trust and generosity that humbles me and that I will never betray while there’s breath in my body.

”A FAIRBANKS AFFAIR” is yet another book to add to a long list of ones that I LOVE by the amazing Katy Regnery. Faye and Trevor’s story was sweet, incredibly steamy, and maybe there was the element of ”insta-love” but it did not hinder my enjoyment in the least. Faye has never had time for a personal life, since the death of her parents, she put all her energy into running the family business. At thirty, she realizes that she needs to have a personal life as well, and so she answers a man’s ad to spend a no-strings romantic weekend in Alaska with him. We get to go on a thrilling journey with Faye as she discovers there’s more to life than work. Trevor and Faye’s chemistry was magnetic and I felt myself being swept away by their story. I’m looking forward to what the author has in store for us next in this series!

Here are my overall ratings:

Heroine: 5

This book is what I would say is full of romantic fluff! It was exactly what I was looking for after an intense read I had before it. Katy Regnery has been writing this series that takes place in Alaska, and it surrounds the men who post an ad in a singles column for a woman! Each man has different reasons as to why and what they are looking for in a woman! Also, each story is a stand alone book. The only connection between the stories is that the men are from somewhere in Alaska; and they place an ad!

If you are looking for a light, romantic and sexy read then look no further! This is the one that will have you escape and feel good for a few hours! I know sometimes that’s all I need!❤️

Life gives us all sorts of experiences...some joyful, some easy, and then there are the ones which are so impactful, they color everything after them. It can be the loss of our parents and how it makes you take on the responsibilities of raising a younger sister. Or it can be a devastating betrayal from a sibling.

The Fairbanks Affair has all the fun and sexy times for an engaging romance but it also touches on so much more. It presents two people who are at a crossroads and by their meeting each other, each is able to open their minds and hearts to more than they ever thought possible.

Katy Regnery has created a series that is so good, you cannot read just one, you want to read them all, one right after the other. The connector is this magazine The Odds Are Good. It has personal ads for those who are interested in connecting with men in Alaska.

Faye Findley is stuck at the dentist's office and sees a magazine on the chair next to her. She opens it and there in her hands staring back at her is this personal ad...

Three nights. Two of us. One bed. Zero chance at love.

What! No, Really...

How ridiculous...yet Faye couldn't stop thinking about it. You see, Faye at thirty had lived a very focused life in Boston.
She had been part of a wonderful family, parents who loved her and her sister...a father who worked to make his business the best it could be, her life was the best. But when she was finishing her graduate degree, her parents were taken from them, leaving Faye in charge of the business and raising her younger sister.

Choices had to be made and Faye steeled herself to be the woman her father would want her to be. She made sure her sister had the education and needs to be fulfilled, money no object. She may have been more distant than intended but it was necessary to devote her time to building the business. Over the past ten years, her company has grown to be the best distributor of alcohol in the world. Yet, by doing this, her relationship with her sister is not what she wished and when it comes to personal life or relationships, what are those...

So when the dentist goes on and on about a little town called the North Pole, how it is Christmas, and it would be perfect for Faye to see it...Faye decides to act on the gut desire to answer the Fairbanks ad. She has a distillery she has plans to see and acquire. It is in Fairbanks and so why not treat herself to "taking care of necessary business" once and for all with this man. She will go to the North Pole and then Fairbanks.

Trevor Starling should be riding high. He and his brothers have created a successful distillery and that was no easy task. But even with all of the positive good fortune, Trevor experienced a betrayal by one of his brothers that has him at a loss. It has turned him off any emotional connections. It may protect him but it also leaves him lonely.

Trevor came to the conclusion he needed to remedy this feeling, especially over the New Year's celebration. Why not put out there an ad exactly what he wanted...if a like mind person was agreeable, no harm no foul...

When Trevor received answers for his ad, he deleted almost all of them, as the women responding were not what he was looking for...too forward, graphic, and veiled marriage hunters. The only response that caught his attention was one by a woman who was total class. She reflected on education, understanding, and acknowledgment of what was being presented. The photo was something to behold. She stood on a boat looking out, carefree...beautiful.

Correspondence confirmed both parties were legit, healthy, and looking forward to their meeting.

Now as I mentioned earlier, life presents situations and it is up to us how we handle them. When Faye goes to the North Pole...it really wasn't all that fantastic. She ends up going to the one decent place to eat, a Chinese restaurant. She is at the bar and a conversation about vodka with a handsome man becomes much more than she expected.

This is how Trevor and Faye meet...but it is not how they realize they are scheduled to be partners from the Odds are Good ad. Faye used her mother's name and the photo didn't reflect how she normally looked. Her usual appearance was more conservative and buttoned up.

What we experience is the opening and sharing of feeling they have held from others. Sharing with new friends or even strangers can be revealing, it can make you see the truth of past experiences, and come to terms with your part in them. Diving into these ideas gave this book unexpected depth.
Faye's need to connect with her sister and Trevor's coming to terms with the past was handled in a way anyone could relate.

We also experience the sweet romance of instant connection, heightened by the times and circumstances. Faye and Trevor worked for me and when Trevor acted out as a guy would...I loved that Faye was able to stand up and hold her own.

These Odds are Good books are addicted and now I am impatiently waiting for the next.

The beginning of the book was a little difficult to engage in, but after a chapter or two I was pulled into the story.

The hero puts a ad in the magazine Odd's Are Good looking for someone to have a fun and sexual weekend with, no emotions involved. He's been badly hurt and wants nothing to do with love. Our heroine is a dedicated and hard working CEO of her parents company, they dies while she was in college. She's dedicated her whole life to the business and with that came the sacrifice of no relationships with the opposite sex or her younger sister. And so that leaves our heroine a virgin at 30.

Faye, our heroine decides that this ad is just what she needs to loose her virginity and have some much needed fun. She's see's that this is in Fairbanks, Alaska and decides this will work because she's also looking at purchasing distillery in Fairbanks.

But fate plays a trick on both these two individual and they meet before their scheduled weekend fling. Both used aliases so when the meet they are clueless to who they really are. They have an instant connection and attraction. They also realize they have the connection of business and her interest in his company. But that takes a back seat to their developing friendship and relationship.

This is a cute love story of two lonely and hurt individuals who find love. I liked both characters and the development of their romance. The beginning was a little slow and somewhat choppy in the character development. And the end seemed rushed to me as well. But all in all it was a fun, sweet and satisfying romance.

Had a hard time putting this one down. So many elements to the story, so many great characters who have a lot to overcome, and a couple in the making who I hope get a book of their own someday! This is a fun imaginative series that I highly recommend!

I am loving this series so much. Each book is so different from the last, yet they are all such great, sweet reads. I love the whole premise of each couple meeting through classified ads in a paper. But I really liked the idea of this one the most.

Faye had such an interesting, although slightly sad story and I enjoyed what a unique character she was. I could really relate to her as a person. She was struggling with the life she was dealt without being upset about it other than the distance it has caused between her and her sister.

Travis had every right to be bitter about life. And I completely understood why he placed the ad in the first place. And honestly I loved that despite everything he was still such a genuine, nice person. Watching him open up and fall for Faye was beautiful.

These two completely complimented each other and I loved their initial meeting and reactions to each other. The book was such a perfect read for a lazy Sunday and I can't wait for the next edition of the odds are good.

ARC received for an honest review

I have read all three of the Odds-Are-Good stories, and A Fairbanks Affair has been my favourite - so far.

Now, at first when I saw it was a virgin (albeit an older virgin) just wanting to lose her V-card, I was a bit sceptical, as we have all been there, read that and the virgin is usually a whimpering, simpering "why does he like me" kind of girl, and that is one of my bug bears in books.

I was pleasantly surprised with Faye's story. She is a strong, independant, feisty woman who knows what she wants and goes for it. She hasn't had time for the past decade, however now she does and nothing is going to hold her back.

Trevor, another workaholic has no time for love. Been there, done that, got the broken heart to prove it. I loved how they were both in for a no strings attached sexy weekend, and adored how is became so much more.

I liked that Trevor did not become the big, burly alphahole when he learned of Faye's hymen status. This just made him more swoonworthy.

Two wonderful people who aren't looking for love, finding it when least expected? What a wonderfully happy holiday story.

I am looking forward to more of the Odds-Are-Good series.

This is the third book of the series but each book is a total stand alone. All of the books start with personal ads in The Odds Are Good magazine. This story takes place in Fairbanks and is a wonderful case of mistaken identity. Both Trevor and Faye are interesting characters. Together, they have some witty banter, some wonderful chemistry and a great HEA.

I loved the setting and the secondary characters. I liked that even though both Faye and T had some heart break to overcome, they were open to having their minds changed about romance.

This author always brings a sweet tale to the table. This one covers the holiday season so just a perfect read for this time of year.

I really liked this one. We have a hero who is betrayed in the worst way possible, he finds his fiancee in bed with his little brother, the night before his wedding (on top of that they are still together later & preggers). So, the hero has no faith in love or women and is looking for a no-strings New Year hook-up. Our heroine is 30, and had to grow up too fast when she lost her parents and had to pick up the reins of her family business and be a guardian to her younger sister. The heroine decides to answer the hero's ad, but in a twist of fate they meet before & feel a connection. The heroine also finds out, the hero owns the company she wants to acquire. The hero is reluctant to give in to their connection but can't help it. I enjoyed this one too!

This feel-good romance was just what I needed right now. Tons of chemistry, low-angst, engaging characters. What makes this a five-star book for me is the theme of mending family rifts and the connection between siblings.

When Faye decides she wants to be rid of her pesky v card, she goes to the furthest reaches of the US to get rid of it after finding a personal ad requesting a discreet tryst in Fairbanks, Alaska on New Year's eve, with no strings, no falling in love. Perfect for her, perfect for the 30-year-old successful business woman who just wants this out of the way. She didn't count on meeting a gorgeous, albeit hurting, man in the bar when she arrives, and having an instant connection with him. Alas, T turns out to be an ass. Oh well, at least she's got her tryst to look forward to. Or does she?

This is the perfect little read if you're looking for something sweet and a little sexy to warm up your holiday season. Faye in particular, is a great character, and the chemistry she and Trevor have is hot! I wish Trevor's brother and Faye's sister had their own story coming up, but I still am interested in the Odds Are Good world Katy has created.

Faye Finley is in Fairbanks hoping to purchase a craft vodka distillery. Her life has been so focused on work that she has never found time for relationships. She decides the trip is also the perfect time for some fun like she’s never had time to experience via a personal ad in the Odds Are Good magazine she finds at the dentist’s office. Now though the trip is mostly for business, she has some pleasure planned as well when she meets “Mr. Fairbanks” for New Years.

Trevor Starling runs his distillery with his brothers, but is not speaking to one of the twins. Heartbroken, Trevor has closed himself off from his family when his relationship with his fiance crumbled. His ad in Odds Are Good was intended to find him a no-strings attached distraction for New Years, and the plans he has made have him looking forward to something for the first time in almost a year.

These two may have planned to meet under aliases at New Years, but their meeting occurs a week earlier under their real names. As Trevor and Faye spend time together, learning about each other, they realize they can’t go through with their New Years plans with a stranger when there is something developing between them.

I loved watching as Faye and Trevor get to know each other. Both have issues to deal with emotionally. Faye has always been a workaholic, to the detriment of her relationship with her little sister. For the first time, Faye sees just how impersonal her interactions with Harry (Harriet) really are. Trevor is still harboring the hurt from the betrayal of his fiance and brother, and though they are desperate to make amends, his hurt is still fresh.

Once again, the side characters in this series make each installment perfect. I loved Brandy’s influence, as well as both Faye and Trevor’s families. There is more than just a single relationship building throughout this story, and it is the relationships between the main characters and their families that really make this story special.

I am so much in love with these wonderful characters that Katy has dreamed up for us in this series !Faye and Trevor are smart, sassy, have a wonderful connection and once they get to know one another are sizzling! Faye is a young business woman that has not taken time for herself or romance . T is a jilted man that has his share of heartbreak. A chance meeting in a restaurant bar, an immediate connection and then so many reservations and hurdles to overcome !I truly loved watching their story unfold and was pulled into their world. I so enjoyed watching them each learn more about themselves and one another !

Geez! Another adorable love story from Katy. I can’t get enough from this author and A Fairbanks affair came just in time if you want to get into the holiday spirit.
Trevor placed an ad in the odds-are-good looking for an intimate all-inclusive New Year’s weekend with zero chance of love. Faye, who is alone for the holidays decided to answer with her own proposal. The day Faye arrived to Alaska she met a handsome farmer at the restaurant bar (who turned out to be Trevor). “The farmer” made his intentions clear - he is looking for a quick roll around in the sheets. Faye proposed a dinner instead but she was turned down. YIKES!!! But cut the man some slack huh?
Trevor has been burned badly by his fiancé and his very own brother only a few months prior. He is beyond angry and hurt. Trevor vows never go anywhere near love or romance – He only wants a companion for the weekend and hopefully no strings attached hot sex. Faye’s life was turned upside down when her parents died unexpectedly, leaving a business and a much younger sister. Faye struggled with finishing school, running the family business and raising her little sister. She has no time to find love. Faye thought it would be a good idea to meet Mr. Fairbanks for a nice New Year’s celebration and finally lose her V card…simple, right?
I really love how Trevor and Faye met. Holy smokes! The banters are awesome and the sexual chemistry is off the chart. Call it insta-love or whatever but these two are perfect for each other – they are both smart, independent, successful. They know exactly what they want and they are both honest about their feelings. The more Trevor and Faye spend time together the more their feelings grow. Will Trevor and Faye still meet the “supposed-date” from the ad or will they come clean before pursuing each other?
I adore Faye and Trevor – a bit older hero and heroine, both strong and mature. I like that there are no games between them. They know what they want and are not afraid to go after it. Trevor is jaded but it did not take long for him to fall head over heels for Faye. The way he loves, adores and cherishes Faye – ekkk totally swoony. I love the witty banters and the innocent flirting. I am very interested in Harry and Baz though - praying hard there is a little bit of something for them in the future. Overall, this was such an adorable heartwarming read. Beautifully written. I am totally addicted to Odds-Are-Good series!!!

5 Star Review A Fairbanks Affair (Odds-Are-Good #3) by Katy Regnery

Having read several books from Katy Regnery, I couldn’t wait to read this one. This was one of those books that grabbed me from the start and never let me go; what a terrific read A Fairbanks Affair was. I love any story that is centred on Christmas and this story will get you in the mood for the festive season.

I fell hard and fast for Trevor, there was just something about him that ticked all the boxes for me and then some. My heart went out to both Trevor and Faye with all they have been through and I was cheering for these two to get together and get the happily ever after they both so richly deserve.

Having been badly burned recently, Trevor has no intention of every letting his heart become involved again, in fact all he wants is a weekend of fun with no strings attached. When Faye answers his personal add she has no idea how her life is about to change.

The chemistry between Trevor and Fayer was instant smoking hot and the will they, won’t they, had me on the edge of my seat. I loved the characters, both separately and especially together.

As I have come to expect from a book by Katy Regnery, the writing was outstanding, the banter was fun and the characters were easy to relate too and realistic. This was a beautifully written, heartwarming story and all in all this made for a great read that I highly recommend.

A Fairbanks Affair (Odds-Are-Good #3) by Katy Regnery

With humorous dialogue, heartwarming moments and predictably, irresistible characters, the odds are readers will LOVE, A Fairbanks Affair. Regnery always delivers the goods when it comes to deliciously, tempting storytelling. Faye and Trevor are love at it's best at the worst possible time. She needs a favor. He needs a reason to hope. Two strangers that fell upon something more are waiting to steal away with your heart. And believe me, THEY WILL.

I just loved A Fairbanks Affair. The story has a few of my guilty pleasures like insta-love, a hero who is a bit of a jerk but falls hard and redeems himself, plus it takes place during the holiday season.

“...unlacing our fingers but still holding her hand. “I am not smooth. I am sometimes an a$$h@le, yes, but I promise you, I don’t mean to be.”

An enjoyable read

I am loving this series of standalones. Although at times I thought about this couple as teenagers instead of around 30yrs old. Another virgin troupe, but it does have humour and is very sweet. Trevor is trying to get over an unfaithful ex and Faye wants to loose her virginity. They fall for each other quickly but take their time sleeping together.

Trevor, the hero, is trying to heal after the ultimate heart shattering betrayal. When it comes to dating again and love, he’s like a polar bear with a thorn still stuck in its paw, folks. He’s not sure he wants the pain to completely heal because he wants a reminder not to let it happen again. Yeah, he’s got a touch or two of knucklehead-itis, as well. You know what I’m talking about. Talking before he thinks kind of thing. Of course, it has been less than a year, so I found myself cutting the guy some slack, especially considering the who, how, when, and where the betrayal occurred.

Along comes fate in the form of Faye who has been too busy running the world to notice all she’s been missing out on it. She’s starting to feel like a failure on a couple of levels, including the fact at thirty she’s still a virgin. Honestly, I’d rather she high five herself than look at it as a problem. I wanted to tell her good things come to those who wait and being picky is better than the opposite. Also a “hold your held high, honey” was in order. Instead, she seemed to act like it was a curse that desperately needed to be broken.

As usual, this author’s writing flowed and kept me engaged. I could feel the tongue in cheek uncertainty, awkwardness, even anticipation that ran like a river through these two destined to be together lovebirds from the very beginning. Then their chemistry/attraction meandered towards a charming, comfortable, compatible friendship that was on an eventual track to smexy, physical intimacy. I just wasn’t as on board with how their smexy scenes were scripted when they popped up late in the book. Kudos for not rushing into things, but this bold, used to taking charge leading lady started to come across a tad too virginal during those moments.

As a lover of relationship angst, I can take a sucker punch or two to the heart. In fact, it spices things up and adds to the mix. Besides, it inevitably leads to major mental revelations and down in the dirt groveling. I love nothing more than the heroine stomping off only to be chased down and begged for forgiveness. This go around it happened so to speak but was over in a blink of an eye. The circumstances that kept her there were an “Oh, that’s rather… bizarre and...convenient” kind of thing.

Despite a few quirks, I enjoyed seeing this couple come to their senses and let their relationship take a more natural course. Meaning, at the end of the day, my fellow romance book loving friends, they genuinely fall in love in a sweet way and don’t just have a tawdry affair.

I adored Faye and Trevor's story so much! It was sweet, so sexy, and a little bit emotional.

"There's something about her that's both sweetly innocent and insanely arousing."

Faye Findley is facing a solitary Christmas when a lonely hearts ad catches her eye and piques her interest. A busy career woman who has little time for a personal life, she decides to throw caution to the wind and travels to Alaska with a view to giving her virginity to a man she's never met before. However, her plans start to go awry when she meets a handsome stranger with whom she shares a sizzling connection.

"He is hunting. I'm his prey. And I hope to God he catches me."

Trevor Starling has been burnt in love and has vowed never to love again. However, his sex life has been pretty barren for the last eight months, so what better way to ring the New Year in than with a beautiful woman that he's found through his no-strings advert. However, he finds himself blindsided by a chance meeting with an intriguing and stunning woman, who brings his frozen heart back to life.

"When I'm naked before him, he stares up at me, his green eyes dark and liquid, so full of emotion, it makes my heart clench, then soar."

I just couldn't put this book down! It was such addictive reading. The author packed a lot of emotion into one book. There was adventure, chemistry, tenderness, hurt, and such beautiful joy found in a burgeoning love. Faye was capable and business-focused, but my heart hurt for all she'd been through trying to raise her younger sister and keep the family company going. I really liked Trevor as a hero - he was a take-charge guy but also had a core of vulnerability. Such a wonderful story and I can't wait to read more in this series.

This is the best yet of the series! Each book is a stand alone so feel free to start with this one.

I normally hate the trope of a virgin hoping to lose her virginity because so often she’s a simpering whiner while the man she picks almost forces himself on her because she has no independence. This book does NOT use this trope at all. Faye is a strong, independent woman who just hasn’t had time for relationships since the death of her parents, taking over the family business, and raising a little sister. She’s finally in a spot where she wants more for her life and decides to be proactive and rational about it. But, best laid plans are made to be broken. She instead meets a man who intrigues her intellectually as well as emotionally and physically. She realizes she needs the emotional connection.

Trevor has been burned by his fiancée and his brother and knows love will never be for him. He’s looking for emotionless sex and sets a rational plan into action. Instead, he meets a woman who intrigues him intellectually, emotionally, and physically.

When Faye and Trevor do pursue their relationship and he discovers her virginity status, he does not become the domineering, experienced lover. Instead, he continues to treat her with respect and love and treasures her. His reaction is the one we we all desire for ourselves, sisters, and daughters.

This is a HEA that has characters who are mature and smart. It leaves you happy and knowing that romance and love does exist. This may be my favorite Katy Regnery book ever!

4.5⭐ and the only reason why it's not a full 5⭐ is because I didn't want this to end. And I'm pretty sure this is my favourite of the series, although I love them all. I seriously couldn't get enough of this Alaskan men!

Trevor never thought his beloved brother would do something to ruin his wedding, let alone whisk his fiance away. Because of that, he placed an ad for a companion to spend the New Year's with him. But with the condition of no strings attached.

Faye has worked for as long as she can remember and when her sister's not spending the holidays with her, she thought she could get away. That's not what convinced her to go away for the holidays though. When she saw the ad Mr Fairbanks had posted, she's intrigued and thought why not

But when Faye first met Trevor, he was charmed by her. And little did he know, she's actually trying to acquire his business. They were smitten by each other pretty quickly and they just wanted to spend the holidays together. But what do they do with the original arrangements they had made earlier on?

Trevor and Faye's story couldn't be anymore sweeter than candy. I love the two of them together. Their banter was perfect and you can see their chemistry bursting through. They each have their own issues to tend to, but when they're together, you can see that they're able to work through it because they have each other. That's like the perfect relationship for me! I'm swooning so hard over them!

Trevor has just endured a devastating betrayal and is determined that he will never feel that kind of pain again. He is focused on the family business but decides to place an ad in a magazine offering a weekend of New Years fun and no one was more surprised than he was when someone responded.

Since the death of her parents Faye hasn’t had the time or energy for love or relationships between looking after her sister and managing the family business she is now responsible for. When she has the opportunity to mix business and pleasure with a weekend in Alaska it seems like the solution to her problems.

When fate brings Trevor and Faye together they have an immediate chemistry and connection but between a misunderstanding and their pasts will they be open their head and hearts to the possibility of the future they could have together?

Watching the relationship between Trevor and Faye unfold was magical and after everything they have both been through there is no couple more deserving of finding happiness.

Another personal ad and another woman from the lower forty-eight wonders up to Alaska for reasons I shan’t be telling, where is the fun there?

Fate became my favourite of the leading ladies in this series by far. Independent, stubborn and strong, the world was on her shoulders and she did it all in the name of family. Obligation will only get you so far and then a woman has to let her hair down eventually, right? And let her hair down she did.

Trevor was the quintessential workaholic I expected him to be. In love with nothing other than work, and of course, a certain person soon put pay to that.

In places, this felt a lot like an insta-love romance. Not typically my thing but this book enraptured me and I couldn't put it down. Steamy, romantic and full of enticement. A great addition to a fantastic series, well done Ms. Regnery and thank you!

I loved every second of this book! I read another book in the series and fell for this quirky series and A Fairbanks Affair is a wonderful and heartfelt read that is perfect for the holiday season!

Practical Faye is stuck in a rut, being a 30 year old virgin was not in her plans, but with the lack of options it is what it is. When she saw an ad for someone looking for a discrete weekend away during the holidays, she figured she had nothing to lose. She never plans for Trevor, and he doesn't plan for her, but trust me you want to grab this book right up and go along for the ride!

A Fairbanks Affair is everything that you would like in a romance novel. It is slow burn, but the burn is so freaking good! If you are looking for a book that is sweet but still spicy and will make you smile when you finish it- click on it RIGHT NOW!! 5 outta 5 stars from me!

PS: Thank you to Katy Regnery and Wildfire Marketing Solutions for allowing me an advanced copy of the book to read and review! <3

After catching his fiancé in bed with his brother, Trevor Starling is not finding it easy to trust and isn’t in any hurry to get back into dating. He places an ad in Odds-Are-Good magazine looking for a no strings attached, discreet affair.
Faye Findley answers the ad hoping to discreetly lose her pesky v-card. But fate has other ideas for this pair.

A Fairbanks Affair is the third standalone story in the Odds-Are-Good series. I’m really loving this Alaska based series of stories.
