Bien!
Sigue gustándome y dándome asco a la vez.
Me parece que la historia con cada tomo se va volviendo un poco más compleja y vamos explorando un poco más a sus personajes y motivaciones.

Je remercie les Éditions Kazé pour l’envoi de cette lecture. Jagaaan, c’est vraiment la belle découverte Seinen de l’année pour ma part. Plus les tomes passent et plus je suis captivée par cet univers glauque et fascinant à la fois.

Jagasaki avait rejoint le groupe de Détra-combattants, mais finalement, il ne veut plus en faire partir. Il veut se consacrer entièrement à ses désirs, à Belle, sa nouvelle petite amie, le temps qu’il lui reste.

Il ne sait pas combien de temps il lui reste à vivre, mais il ne veut pas le perdre à faire le justicier, il préfère avant tout penser à lui et ses désirs, c’est ce qui compte le plus à ses yeux. De l’autre côté, le groupe de héros se fait maintenant appeler les Triple H. Ils gagnent de plus en plus en popularité, mais est-ce vraiment une bonne chose ?

Ce tome est vraiment intéressant. Jagasaki passe par une phase de réflexion sur lui-même, sur ce qu’il veut, ce qu’il souhaite faire pour lui, avant de penser aux autres. De plus, nous voyons la société réagir face à cette nouvelle des crapadingue. Évidemment, ils n’allaient pas laisser les héros agir, sans essayer de faire quelque chose face à ce nouveau mal.

Le tome est vraiment intéressant et l’action y est toujours plaisante, surtout vers la fin du tome, où un retournement de situation vient nous surprendre et nous apporte encore plus de suspens !

En bref, ce tome est vraiment top et j’aime de plus en plus la saga à chaque tome. L’univers est flippant et en même temps, c’est ce qui rend ce manga charmant à mes yeux. Un Seinen qui me plait vraiment énormément. Je vais de suite lire la suite qui se trouve déjà dans ma PAL ! 😉

Hizo todo lo que quería, valió completamente la espera de 4 volúmenes para pegar ese gran aventón, porque la historia no se trata sobre héroes y villanos, sino finalmente de humanos. Ya en el anterior volumen dejaban claro el tema de las emociones, pero en aquí potencian mucho más el tema con todos los miembros de triple H. ¿Para qué tener los poderes? Beneficio propio, porque me satisface mis deseos, porque me gusta y ya está, por lo tanto, la idea está basada en la recompensa que tengo por seguir en este ritmo de vida, y personalmente, me parece una brutalidad. Desde esa perspectiva, encuentro muy acertado que justamente uno de los “héroes” más puros en cuanto a su fin, que era salvar a su familia, terminé destruyéndola justamente por lo que llevó inicialmente a quebrarla, el alcohol. Así mismo, es como ella misma mencionó una crónica de una muerte anunciada, dado que sabía que él no iba a cambiar, y eso iba a condenar el hecho que volvería a ser violento con ella. Dicho y hecho, así fue y eso conllevó lamentablemente a su muerte y la de la madre de su hija. Trágico, lamentablemente, pero justamente esto esperaba de una historia que quería jugar con las emociones y el límite humano.

That's how much the series lasted before losing direction. It tries to expand into directions that simply bore the living daylights out of me. The story gets diluted by the new characters, while forgetting to focus on the main character's plight.

Jagasaki is confident in his power, but soon learns that he doesn't have full control over it. He intends to quit Triple H, though Hakuto tries to change his mind. Hakuto has a new direction for the group, one that brings in more money and fans. Though he is still willing and able to defeat fractured humans, he advocates for peace because he believes it will weaken the frogs and prevent them from transforming the infected.

Jagasaki is unable to control his transformation during a date with Bell. His teammate Yuma the healer helps him. Then she basically throws herself at him. Because why not?

Haruto is working on a way to safely remove the frogs of infected people before it takes control. Unfortunately, the law to isolate the infected is rejected by the citizens. Their protest turns to chaos when Chiharu drops a bunch of frogs that infect the attendees. Triple H scrambles to kill the infected.

Chiharu is an interesting character from the start, and this volume just intensifies it.

I have read a lot of manga of this genre, but even though I'm used to heightened scenes such as terrorizing the public (which is also observed in Inuyashiki and Ajin, among other manga that I've read), it's the execution of events and how it moves the story forward that makes Jagaaaaan an interesting read. With this, the character of Chiharu has performed well, and I know this is just the start of his character arc.

As I've said in my previous review, I want to see Triple H break with Jagasaki breaking it down (for the reason that he's one of the strongest among the team and Misogi, the leader, is fond of him) because of their clash of philosophies. However, it's Chiharu's actions I would like to follow through. Personally I love characters with the "crazy" trope and I want to watch Chiharu get fleshed out as the ultimate villain of this story.

This series is a lot of fun to read. I like how it naturally evolves from being a series about nihilism to a more hopeful tone that gives even the most unlikeable main protagonist a positive redemption arc. I do enjoy the supporting characters a great deal and feel like they have interesting side plots. Especially when their motives are just as morally questionable as the main protagonist. Overall this is a great twist on the flooded over done super hero troupe and I am enjoying my time with this wild ride.
