For some people, the end of the world is only the beginning. A new chance at life and a newfound freedom. For others, living through the end is Hell.
Cedric had gotten used to, even thrived in, the end of the world. Despite the infection, the world kept spinning. Even through the disaster, Cedric had finally found his place to help, to rebuild, and above all, to be a leader.
With the infected waking from their winter hibernation, Cedric must fight even harder to stay alive. While the infection spreads, the infected are changing and evolving. As the infection reaches into every place of the nation, a new light shines with hope.
A group of Marines, lead by Master Gunnery Sergeant William Pearson, are taken in by the survivors at the high school. The Marines bring news, but more importantly, they bring a mission—a mission Cedric feels that he must help them complete.
The monsters of the world outnumber the survivors. The war is all but lost. Civilization has fallen. Will humanity find a way to rise from the ashes?

I've been writing since I discovered the talent in the 7th grade. Back then, all I wanted to do was be out of school and never step into a school building again. So, in a way, I can see the irony since that's the age I teach now. My first novel, Surviving, is written for an upper middle grades (8th-9th) and young adult audience (but that doesn't mean adults can't read it!).
In my off-time, I enjoy being outdoors. It really helps to unwind. But, that isn't to say I don't enjoy sitting on the couch snuggled with my pup and wife reading a book or playing a game.
