A romantic comedy between two women with an age gap. The writing is witty and is actually very funny in many parts, although I found some jokes taking too long to build up and the rewards aren't that worth it. Still, it'll entertain you enough for you to keep reading.

The book gets a bit boring for me in the middle, as there doesn't seem to be a clear direction of where it is heading. We already know that the two main characters have feelings for each other, and with the chapters in the middle being just more of them flirting and more jokes, it doesn't really add much to the story for me. It does pick up its pace and establishes conflicts and challenges in the latter chapters and the book gets more entertaining after that.

I love how despite being a light-hearted story, the author doesn't ignore homophobia as well as other issues that a same-sex couple has to face in Thai society. It touches on the subject, but it never gets too heavy to break the comedic tone of the story. It is also a book that is not afraid to say "trans women are women" out loud, and even goes as far as featuring a cis woman and a trans woman couple.

Unfortunately, there are some problematic elements when it comes to the transgender character though. While it's great that she is one of the important supporting characters who gets her own story arc with a proper character development, she still gets deadnamed as well as being a butt of many jokes in the story. Some of those jokes are even made by the main characters themselves, so to have these main characters who are cisgender women telling her that trans women are women, it can be kind of awkward. However, since it's written in 2017, I suppose that is already more progressive than many books in Thailand. It also shows that the author's heart is in the right place.

All in all, I like the book. Will look for more books from this author.
