He’s my brother’s best friend and I have a plan to seduce him that will blow his mind...
Jefferson Evian has been my brother’s best friend since we were kids. He’s hot, funny, and totally out of my reach. Some might even say he’s forbidden to me. All because of my overprotective and bossy older brother. I’ve tried flirting with Jeff on and off throughout the years, but he’s always remained elusive. Until now. Now I’m ready to make him mine. I don’t care if my brother won’t let me date him or if my best friend can’t stand him. I have a plan that should help me win Jeff’s heart once and for all and it all starts with a sexy hookup.
4.5 STARS Maybe it’s because I’ve read so many mediocre books lately, but I truly loved this book. I had so much fun reading it! It is a wonderful comedy about two long time friends who've had a thing for each other for over half their lives... You've got here small town gossip, great group of friends, who are completely involved in each other’s lives in such a funny way, steamy chemistry, witty banter, playful humor.
The story had a fairly simple plot, but I really liked that a good portion of the book was based on dialogue. I also loved the way the author brought all the characters in the book to life. They weren't flawless, and how refreshing was that! It made the whole story more relatable, more believable, more real. Betsy, a cupcake store owner, was too generous for her own good, and Jeff might seem to be a little bit uptight as a police officer, but all the characters were amazing and all the funny situations they found themselves in just cracked me up and I couldn't stop giggling while reading it.
This was a fun and sexy fast paced romance. Betsy has always had a crush on her brother's bff. Jeff is a police officer, and has had an attraction for Betsy, but her brother, Nolan warned him against it. Julia is Nolan's girlfriend and Betsy bff, and I love all of the bff's in this story! This was such a well paced and detailed story. With lots of characters, and sexual tension and a strong and long lasting attraction between Betsy and Jeff. I just wished it was longer story. This is a must read read for a fun story, with a lot of sexual attraction, tastefully written hot love scenes and a happily ever after.
I was given a copy of this book by the author for an honest review.
4 Star review The Hookup Plan (Dating Plan #2) by J S Cooper
This is the second book in the story and is an entertaining read. The Hookup Plan was humorous, the banter witty and the characters were easy to relate to and so engaging that you cannot help but fall for them. This is Betsy and Jeff’s story and I was engrossed from the first to the last chapter. Ms.Cooper’s style of writing draws you in and you become invested in the story she weaves before you know it. Betsy knew she wanted Jeff but for a fair bit of the book it seemed they danced around one another, neither prepared to take a chance and it got a little frustrating at times. Jeff was a little more reserved initially, afraid that his best friend (Betsy's brother) might not approve. However once they finally decided to take a leap of faith, the chemistry between Betsy and Jeff heated up quickly. The secondary characters such as Jules and grandmother were entertaining and I enjoyed their meddling when it seemed that neither Betsy or Jeff would take a step to move their relationship forward. There was some steam, love and romance and overall it was a book that left me with a smile on my face.
Don’t treat this one seriously. It’s more like a novella. Short story, not much plot, predictable and cheesy. But it’s not completely bad. I just needed to deduct a star for unprotected sex.

Officer Jefferson And Betsy’s Story Is A Playful and Light-Hearted Quick Read With Humor And Great Chemistry!
This is book two of The Love Plan series, a light-hearted and playful series of stand-alones. It was previously released as The Kissing Bet by Jaime Case. The series is set in Canyon Beach, a small beach town in which everyone knows one another and gossip travels fast. For the last two years, though, newcomers have been moving into the area, attracted by the beach. Book one is Nolan and Julia’s story. This is Jeff and Betsy’s story. Betsy and Julia are best friends, as are Nolan and Jeff. Nolan is Betsy’s older brother. Their stories are thus closely linked.
From book one:
Julia Garwood, twenty-six, is focused on her career in journalism. She has worked at the Canyon Beach Chronicle since college. Dissatisfied, she asks her editor, Malcolm, to be assigned a serious story, but soon comes to regret it. Thirty dates in thirty days. She is to write about her online dating experience and gin up online clicks for the Chronicle, which is struggling in a changing industry. Moreover, her best friend’s brother will be the photographer on the assignment. He will accompany her on all her dates, filming and taking pictures to accompany the article online.
Jules and Betsy have been best friends since childhood, and she has consequently spent a great deal of time around Betsy’s older brother, Nolan. Nolan brings out the worst in Jules. They argue like siblings, and he criticizes her incessantly. He was her first kiss ten years ago. But she was three years younger than him and he was graduating.
Nolan Montgomery, twenty-nine, is a photographer with a budding career as a filmmaker, too. He could move to Hollywood, but chooses to stay in Canyon Beach, his small hometown. He declared he wouldn’t marry when he was young, and today his relationships never last more than a month or two. But he enjoys hanging out his with his best friend, Officer Jefferson Evian, and occasional meals with his family. He often sees his sister and her best friend at those meals. He can’t help himself when he gets near Jules. She complains he is mean, but she is so immature that she is asking to be put in her place.
In book two:
Betsy-Lou Montgomery, twenty-six, has always had a crush on her brother’s best friend. Officer Jefferson Evian has been visiting her daily at Betsy & Elsie’s Yummy Cupcake Store, the bakery she co-owns along with her grandma Elsie. Betsy and Jeff have even been flirting a little lately, and Betsy suspects that he might finally be into her. But when she hears that he will be representing the police department at the kissing booth as part of the town’s charity bachelor auction, she becomes green with envy at the thought of all the women he will be kissing. In need of a plan, she gathers the girls together to ask for advice. Her best friend Julia, Julia’s cousin Stella, and Stella’s best friend Abby gather and suggest that the women should have their own kissing booth – which might just spark a little jealousy in Jeff.
Jefferson Evian, about twenty-nine, isn’t capable of marriage. He grew up watching his own parents argue and struggle, and he knows he isn’t cut out for it. He has only ever had casual relationships, which has suited him fine. His only regret is Betsy, his best friend’s little sister. Nolan had warned him off both Betsy and her best friend Julia back when they were teens, so hooking up with her was always out of the question. Besides, he isn’t good for Betsy. But when he hears that she will be working a kissing booth, his self-control goes out the door.
Jeff is in denial of the depth of his feelings for Betsy as they begin a relationship of sorts in a roundabout way. They have fantastic chemistry together and great banter. Their story is light, playful, and sweet. Jeff is a little slow to come around, but with the aid of several matchmakers he finally takes the initiative with Betsy. They earn a happy for now ending.
Jeff and Betsy’s story is a feel-good quick read with several laughs and steamy chemistry. The story is well-written. The plot is fairly simple. The characters are nicely developed. The story is written in first person. The POV alternates between Jeff and Betsy. I rate this book 4.5 stars.
I received an advance copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
WOW OH Wow, I just finished reading this in one sitting. This is an amazing read. Jaimie Case has done it again. This book will capture you from the moment that you start reading until you finish the very last page. The characters are so amazing that you want them to be your friends and you want to be there to help them over come every obstacle that may get in their way. The story will grab you and not let you go. This is an amazing story that has got to be read, there is no doubt about it.
Jeff was Betsy's brother's best friend and she's had a crush on him forever. She's always been off-limits per her brother. They're cute, fun, and childish at times. She's determined to win him over and has a major plan to do so. This was a cute romance that was fun to read. Well written with likable characters and an entertaining storyline. I read an arc and voluntarily chose to review it.
You get humor, witty banter, jealousy, town gossip, attraction, obstacles, amazing characters, and a well written storyline. Add in some heat and love, and it all wraps up with a great HEA.
I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

Book 2 in the Love Plan series and it was a great addition. I loved it. Funny and really enjoyable friends to lovers romance. Loved Betsy and Jeff. Great chemistry between them. They both had crushes on each other but never acted on them but thanks to some outside help, they were able to finally see that what they was looking for was in front of them the whole time. Can’t wait to read more from this author. Loving her work.

We pick up in the Book 2 “The Hook Up Plan” where we left off in Book 1 “The Dating Plan”. Although you don’t need to read Book 1 to follow the story line in The Hook Up Plan, I HIGHLY recommend it. You will be cheating yourself out of the enjoyment of a story if you didn’t!! Here we pick up on the story of Betsy, Nolan’s sister and best friend of Nolan’s girlfriend Jules, with the obsession of Officer Jeffery Evian!! This was a treat and a delightful read. Again, author Cooper had me laughing and reaching for a class of cold water at the same time!!! The blossoming of these two, again both in their denial, mixed up with their crazy friends, had me sad once the story ended.
Jeff was stubborn, a stubborn Alpha within his own right, and Betsy finally allowed her courage to develop when it came to getting what she wanted!! I thoroughly enjoyed this series as it continues and I hope it has not ended. I would love to see what happens with Abby and Sheila, and I need Officer Max to get what he deserves…A strong female to put him in his place!!
You have to read this one folks, the Hook Up Plan will have you cracking up with a certain bedroom scene when Jules and Nolan show up unexpectedly, will have you fanning yourself with the attempted late-night calls and a certain beach confrontation scene, and finally have you screaming. GO JULES!!!, when she finally confronts Jeff!!
The Hook Up Plan!! You won’t be disappointed!! I received this book as an ARC preview.
I was given the gift of an Arc by the talented J.S Cooper
In the 2nd book of the Love Plan series you will follow the journey off Betsy and Jeff. Betsy owns a cupcake shop with her Grandmother. Jeff is a police officer in their small town of Canyon Beach.
Jeff has been coming into Betsy's cupcake store daily and they have been doing mild flirting when he comes in. This puts Betsy over the moon as he has never really paid much attention to her when they were younger and now he is showing interest.
Jeff is Betsy's brother’s Nolan best friend. Nolan has made it clear that Betsy and her best friend Julia are off limits to his friends so Jeff never showed Betsy any interest.
Jeff has it all a great personality he's funny and hot as sin. Betsy want's to make him hers despite her best friend not liking him and her brother would forbid her going after his bestfriend.
When Betsy finds out that Jeff will be in the kissing booth for the police department she gets real jealous thinking of all the girls that will be kissing her handsome crush. With this Betsy and her friends think they should have their own kissing booth which she is hoping will make Jeff jealous.
You will follow Betsy and Jeff as the sparks fly between them. Jeff holds back though even though he feels the chemistry between him in Betsy.
Will Jeff give into his feelings? will Betsy finally get the man of her dreams?
Absolutely loved Betsy and Jeff's story. I found I enjoyed it even more than Queen Of First Dates. The chemistry between them is so strong and even though Jeff tries to fight it, he can't deny how much he wants Betsy for more than a night. Betsy of course has had a crush on Jeff for a very long time. In her eyes there is no one else for her. She even goes so far as to tell her best friend that she is in love with him. This book had be from the very beginning. I enjoyed reading how they took a chance and finally gave into their feelings. Jeff was always worried about how Betsy's brother(his best friend) would react to the two of them being together. Granted he also had some issues to deal with due to his own parents relationship and how it affected his views. I also liked how the people in their lives, mainly Jules(Betsy's best firend) and her grandmother got tired of watching and waiting for Betsy and Jeff to finally come together and decided to take matters into their own hands. Betsy and Jeff were so great together. I loved the HEA and can not wait for the next books in the Canyon Beach Series.
This is an amazing book from Jaimie that captivates you from the beginning to end, there’s great chemistry lots of romance, sexy and funny in places a real page turner and hard to put down. Betsy co-owner of a cup cake and tea shop with her grandma had had a crush on officer Jefferson Evian forever, a best friend to her overprotective brother Nolan, but Nolan and her two besties Jules and Stella felt he was a player and had an aversion to commitment. Jeff had his own demons and reasons why he acted as he did however when he is selected to represent his local police station in a kissing auction Betsy decides to instigate an auction of her own. They both realise there is a conflict of interest and feelings spiral out of control, enter a guy from there pasts who throws them both into turmoil, can Betsy get Jeff to commit to his true feelings as she doesn’t do casual, throw cunning grandma into the mix and you end up burning the midnight oil hoping you get the right conclusion to the story. I was given this by the author as an ARC in exchange for a voluntary honest review which I was happy to provide.
He loves her cupcakes but just can't seem to be able to commit to just one
The Hookup Plan is the second book in The Love Plan duet and is the story of Betsy-Lou Montgomery and Jefferson Evian. Betsy is Nolan's younger sister and Jules' best friend, their story is in The Dating Plan, and Jeff is Nolan's best friend. They have known each other for years but Nolan had warned him to stay away from both Betsy and Jules when they were in high school. For all those years Jeff has heeded that warning but things are about to change with the addition of one kissing booth. Then Jeff's self restraint is kicked out the window as his possessive Alpha does the kicking. Even though Jeff does not think he is capable of having a serious long term relationship he is not willing to let anyone else taste the beautiful and vivacious Betsy, even for charity.
This story is funny and sweet. Betsy and Jeff have a nice chemistry together that initially comes out as being witty banter and then progresses into some more heated chemistry. I enjoyed this book and the characters.
I received a copy of this book for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
I am voluntarily writing this review for this book I received through arc.
Jeff was my brother friend and basically forbidden to me but, Betsy had other plans. Betsy and her friends decided to do a bachelorette auction since the men would be doing one of their own and the money would be donated to be able to open up a homeless shelter. Jeff was thinking about Betsy but he keep trying to make her crazy. They Facetimed and he wound up showing Betsy his package as a crazy idea then the doorbell rang. He left the FaceTime up and their was Victoria who show up at his house with just a coat on. Jeff closed his computer which pissed Betsy off especially after their interlude via FaceTime. The bachelorette auction was on and Jeff and Nolan were not happy with it happening. Jeff was not happy about Betsy was running the kissing booth. Jeff knew hooking up with Betsy would be a mistake he couldn’t give her what she wanted. Nolan would kill him if he knew he was fooling around with his sister.
I loved this story. It was interesting and it made me laugh and cry, plus I kept turning the pages instead of putting the book down. It was also hot and steamy. It’s Betsy and Jeff’s story. You meet them in the book The Dating Plan. Betsy is Julia’s best friend and Jeff is Nolan’s best friend. Nolan is also Betsy’s brother. You don’t have to read The Dating Plan to read this book. It reads as a standalone. I think it was more enjoyable reading it after The Dating Plan since you do get to meet and see how they interact with each other.
Betsy has the hots for local cop and her brother’s best friend Jeff. The only problem he doesn’t seem to notice her or so she thinks. Turns out Jeff notices Betsy but stays away because she’s his best friends’ younger sister. Plus, Jeff knows he can’t give Betsy the relationship he knows she wants and deserves. Thanks to his parents and marriage he’s sworn off relationships. Can Betsy change his mind? Is Jeff willing to change for Betsy?

Now a co-owner of a bakery, Betsy has always had a crush on Jeff, her brother's best friend. Jeff has always been protective of Betsy, but will he let his feelings for her come to fruition? When Betsy decides to tease Jeff, she channels her inner vixen to come out and play with her bad boy. The more time that Betsy and Jeff spend together, the harder it is to stay friends and act as if nothing has happened. Will Jeff be able to fully accept his feelings for Betsy, or will he lose her because of his insecurities?
I found The Hookup Plan to be a fun and quick read. I love all of the characters in this book and series. This is the second book in the series, and I just love the way Ms. Cooper spins a tale of forbidden and secret love mixed with very sizzling sensual scenes kept me captivated. I recommend this book to those 18+ due to some graphic scenes. I look forward to reading the next book in the series.

Queen of first dates is a funny, romantic story that you won’t want to put down. Jules is a journalist assigned to a story about dating. She isn’t thrilled since she doesn’t have much luck in that department on a good day; much less having to do a story about the do’s and don’ts of it! As If the assignment isn’t bad enough she’s told it will be published weekly online and video taped. She didn’t think things could get worse until her boss informs her that the photographer she’d be working with would be none other than her lifelong crush Nolan (her best friends older brother). With 30 dates in 30 days AND Nolan following her she has her work cut out for her. Unfortunately, Nolan isn’t a help. He keeps sending her mixed signals and she fears her feelings r coming back and she can’t handle another heart break from Nolan. After lots of flirting and maybe crossing some lines, will Jules profess her love to Nolan? Or this time is it Nolan that reveals a secret?
This book is just as good as book one in this series. I'm sure it will lead to more books because it has left plenty of open story lines and NO EPILOGUE so there is loads left to be said and three more ladies in the group to write about.
The two main characters in this instalment are both loveable in their own way; he has obviously be damaged by his childhood experiences and has things to deal with whilst she knows exactly what she needs and at the end of the day Grandma knows what everyone needs!
Great writing again, with just the right amount of pace giving a fun, and funny romp from the cupcake shop to the underwear shop to the beach to the Police station and could it be to the bed or not?
I loved this book and suggest that you add it and the first one, The Dating Plan, to your summer reading list xx

4.5 Stars for The Hookup Plan If you are looking for a witty, entertaining read with plenty of banter look no further than The Hookup Plan it certainly meets all of those things. It’s a story that draws you in with characters that are easy to relate to. Betsy and Jeff’s story captivated me from the first page to the last line. Betsy has wanted Jeff for a while now but both of them were reluctant to commit, neither prepared to take a leap of faith and see where the relationship took them. Jeff was best friends with Betsy’s brother so this was yet another line he was afraid to cross, however that didn’t stop them once they both decided the time was right for them...... Sizzling chemistry, witty banter and loyal friendships all make this a fun entertaining read. Book 2 in the Dating Plan but I feel it can certainly be read and enjoyed as a stand-alone. Looking forward to more from the very talented Ms Cooper.
I was really taken with the quick firing dialogue, especially at the beginning of the story when the four ladies had a get-together. This was quite the simmering love story for both the main male and female characters. The four women are especially close and Ms. Cooper really captured the essence of true friendship. This parlayed into one friend playing a major part in helping the main male and female characters cement their relationship and attain their happy-ever-after. Loved the camaraderie and really enjoyed inter-related books like the ones that Ms. Cooper has set up here. Cannot wait to hear more from these characters. So satisfying reading Ms. Cooper.s work!

This is the second book in the The Love Plan series. In fact, I read this book without having read the first book, The Dating Plan.
Betsy and Jeff have been in love with each other since they were kids. However they never acted on it because he’s her older brother’s best friend. The book starts off with Betsy attempting to seduce him, but it all goes awry. With her friends, they devise a plan to win him over although Betsy is still unsure of herself. And with a little meddling from her grandmother and her friend Jules, everything falls into place. This was cute with likable characters and an entertaining storyline.
P.S. I've seen this book on different platforms as being a part of The Dating Plan series, The Love Plan Series, and Canyon Beach Romance. It's all pretty confusing.
Love is a four letter word when family and friends interfere. Betsy Betsy, she and her grandmother own a bakery. Jefferson, Jeff the cop is Mr. sexy pants. Betsy has a crush maybe even love Jeff, but her brother is his bestfriend and her brother is overprotective, Jeff has feelings for Betsy maybe even loves her but his bestfriend is her brother and being raised in an abusive home he is afraid his genetics will hurt her. So Betsy makes a plan with the help of her friends. Jeff gives into temptation knowing it will be a mistake, but that was one heck of a mistake. Turns out Jeff did hurt Betsy but not physically. Now Betsy has a chose to make move on and forget the emotionally unavailable Jeff or fight for him.

Jeff is a one night guy and avoids commitment at all costs, but he has had feelings for Betsy for a long time but can't act on it as she is his best friend's sister. Betsy has been in love with Jeff for years but he treats her like a little sister so she decides to step up her game and starts flirting with him. Will she get her man or is it going to be more heartache for her. Wow I love this book so much, you will laugh, swoon and curse but have to keep turning the page's to see what happens next and it is so addictive. Jaime is an incredible author and talented writer and I definitely recommend you read this book and series and you will not be disappointed. I Voluntarily Reviewed an Arc Copy of this book.
I really enjoyed this book. Betsy and Jeff have the flirtatious air about them towards each other. It was good to get to know a little more about Jeff and not just him being a police officer. I wonder what his relationship with Veronica was and if she will be a problem in the future? I do enjoy Jaimies books like this one as it has a his and her perspective. I did enjoy the first accidental incident involving betsy, some red crotch less knickers and leaving them on the wrong officers desk! This book ends with a HEA. A great read and I couldn't put it down. I love how you still have Jules and Nolan in this book too. I wonder how Nolan will react to his best friend dating his sister, hopefully we will find out.

Betsy owns a bakery in her hometown, Canyon Beach. Jeff is a cop in Canyon Beach and Betsy’s brother’s best friend. They have a flirtation going on but both are scared to act on it. When Nick Campbell, who had a huge crush on Betsy in high school, comes back to town and the helpful push from Betsy’s Nanna (also Jules and Grandpa Campbell) things start going for them. I like this book a little more than the previous one because you get Jeff’s point of view and in The Dating Plan (Jules/Betsy’s best friend and Nolan/Betsy’s brother/Jeff’s best friend) you only got Jules‘ point of view. It’s cute, good cheesy and an HEA. It’s very worth giving a shot and reading.

This is the story that followed The Dating Plan (Nolan and Jules) and it features the story of Jeff, Nolan's best friend and Betsy, Nolan's sister and Jules' best friend. The story is simple and light yet I find it entertaining. Betsy was in love with Jeff but her best friend Jules always butts head with him. Jeff was also interested in Betsy but doesn't want to do anything because his best friend who happens to be Betsy's brother, Nolan, said she is off-limits plus Jeff had some issues of his own. The way Jeff and Betsy navigated their way to get their happy ever after is just fun and enjoyable to read. I also like that this story had Jeff's point of view.
