Chasing the Dragon

Rate this book
Some people are meant to have the best of everything in their lives, and then there are people like Dawson.

Dawson knew from a young age that he would have to fight for everything that he has, but he didn’t realise it would get so damn difficult. Dawson Gellar is trouble. Dawson Gellar isn’t the kind of person you want in your life. Dawson Gellar doesn’t know what it feels like to have someone to rely on … not until he meets Jamieson Crawford .

Jamieson can see the pain in Dawson’s eyes, even though Dawson’ tries to hide it. He can tell that his life is hard and lonely. There is an attraction that Jamieson feels, the only problem is he is Dawson’s boss, so Dawson is completely off limits.

When Dawson goes too far, risking his life for the numbness, Jamieson finally steps in. He can’t sit back and watch Dawson kill himself, but can he get him to listen?

Dawson can see the looks Jamieson gives him, but after a lifetime of hurt, can he finally trust someone enough to let them in? The decision is Dawson’s, but he doesn’t know what to do. Does he hold onto the man who has become such a big part of his life, or does he stay numb and keep Chasing The Dragon?

After being married for ten years and raising three beautiful kids I decided it was time to do something for myself. My passion for reading bled over with a need to tell the story that was repeating in my head and that was the birth of my first book. The rest they say is history.

I love the creative release that writing gives you, being able to take someone away to a different world feels amazing. As a reader I know how important that escape is, and as a writer I love to be able to give people that.

My other loves include music and reading (in case I haven't mentioned that before) and then when I have time a little more reading. I think if I could read for a living I would, but since I can't I will continue on the writing side of things.

This book got me hooked since the beginning because I understood immediately how good the two MCs were for each other, bringing their own baggage in. Some parts are really emotional.

wow

I started this book awhile ago and I stopped thinking it’s not my scene… but I decided to read it. And I am not disappointed! I cried so much and I fell in love with both of these men. They are so beautiful and so amazing, and strong! A must read!

I have this book for so long, that I had completely forgotten about it. So, late at night last night I wanted to read a book about dragon shifters and pick this one by the title. That was a surprise! But I try to stick to the policy of ALWAYS finishing the book I start.

To tell the truth, I didn't like Dawson very much, he disappointed me over and over again, but I understood why. I stayed glued to the pages, because my respect and love towards Jamieson grew so quickly, that I had to finish the book.

Have lots of tissues, this book is full of angst, so be prepared... I was a crying mess throughout the book. My heart broke for Dawson & Jameson, but mostly for Dawson even though I was mad a him a few times . I needed to hug him so much!! The book was also a slow burn so worth the wait. It was a great read even though all the heartache... A TBR!!!

Another great one! It was a very slow burn that kept me on the hook the entire story and may have done a cheer when the MC’s finally got together. The supporting characters were great too and I can’t wait to read the next one.
