Xiao Lou was killed in an accident and reborn in the Card World.
Each card here represents a secret room and clearing the instance will give a reward. Xiao Lou draws a card and thinks he could draw all types of equipment and weapons. As a result: Su Shi, Li Bai, Tao Yuanming… character cards keep coming one after another.
Xiao Lou, "???"
What was this escape game? What type of ghost made him keep drawing character cards?
Anyway. This book had some similarities to 地球上線 The Earth Is Online. I loved that book despite its flaws and I keep trying to find books similar to it. In this novel, the protagonist dies and is transported into a massive survival game/world with other people who have died. The survival world has lots of unlimited flow 'instances' where he solves puzzles or fights to survive with his life on the line. He uncovers chilling secrets of the entire structure of the survival game, finds love and makes friends, and manages to win at the end. The protagonist also gains lots of skills and power ups as he progresses, just like in a game.
The author is extremely creative. There were SO many logic puzzles, murder mysteries, games, etc. I really liked reading about them. They were fun to read and I was very impressed by how the protagonists deduced things (I like detective protagonists). No misogyny (thank god!) and many of the female characters were very complex. Her main and side characters are also all interesting, comical, and distinct (mostly). I especially loved the older team.
I think my biggest issue with this book is that it was way too long. The author was trying to create a survival game that has a progression route and structure inspired by a pack of poker cards, but it meant that the protagonists had to clear like, TWELVE levels of games, excluding sub tiers. Although the games were interesting, after a while I sort of got the gist and started skimming here and there.
I had another issue where I felt like the main characters were too overpowered and everything was going too smoothly. It doesn't feel like there are real stakes coz you know all twelve of the main gang will survive without much happening to them - very little character growth or development or change. The last arc kind of redeemed that a bit for me though. Finally, the path to victory wasn't so smooth.
Ok, but unlimited flow is my jam. I liked almost all the plots (kinda got bored in the organ trafficking one, but not bad) and resonated some with Xiao Lou, aside from having the IQ of a boulder in comparison. I’m a sucker for intelligent characters.
ALSO WTF, IT WAS SO LONG. And when I say long, I mean 600+ middle aged size chapters. For context, TGCF has 240ish chapters and is now being adapted into 5 separate 400(ish) page volumes. So this…this… would approximately amount to 10 books. Put that on my gravestone please. Finished in less than a month. Someone buy me a milkshake.
Okay, 4 estrellas y muchos pensamientos, vamos a ver si puedo escribir algo coherente...
Props to the TL, RainbowTurtle.
Overall, it's tolerable.
That might just be me tho.
This was long(610 god-damn chapters QAQ) but I don't regret reading it.
Though I guess the major problem with this novel was that the main characters were too OP(like seriously, just arriving and already breaking world records?) I like all 12 members of the team but you could tell the author preferred writing about some more than others. For example, the LongQu couple, bruh, the author didn't even bother writing about their wedding *face palm crying in laughter*, but I won't really complain since author-san made them a bit too one-dimensional. I prefer the other 3 couples over them anytime of the day🙂.
Another thing is that, due to the fact that the novel is so long, you get bored after awhile. I ended up skimming through some arcs due to boredom, and sometimes the author forgets what she wrote previously and ends up contradicting herself(?) I'm glad translator-san clarifies some of these mistakes(?)
All in all, I quite like this a lot, most of the arcs were fun and enjoyable plus I like all 12 characters although some of them, as I mentioned above, are a bit bland and were probably just added in due to the lack of ideas.
I read it some time ago but i will always remember how amazing and intriguing this story was. And not gonna lie i absolutely love mc. Ml is cool too but mc.. my god.. if i could hit my head hard enough to forget what happened in this story i would happily do that only for opportunity to read this again from beginning. At this point i am begging, read this book.
1.5. super repetitive got boring i ended up just reading the spoiler thread and other ppls spoilers for the last 100-200 chapters. i couldn’t do it. it was fun at first but i think i was pitted by everyone who compared this to teio bc teio is one of my faves and it’s so fun and the characters (to me) are way more likable. so in comparison this was tedious. the different rooms/levels whatever are boring and repetitive it’s the same thing over and over. i’m the hearts rooms the 2 mains have leaps in their logic that just make you as the reader unable to follow along. i think the concept is fun but the writing couldn’t hold up and that the author could have easily gotten rid of 300 chapters. i feel like the novel just was 200 chapters of the repeated phrases “lie down to win” , “g-d killing g-d and buddha killing buddha” , & “his heart felt warm”. i s2g they had to have said those like 50 times in the parts i read. it just got to the point when i would see the phrase and immediately get annoyed.
imo read this if you want. it’s long and repetitive. don’t listen to people when they compare it to teio. i understand why they did bc they are both infinite flow novels and the cards could be considered powers. but that’s all. it’s just some of the set up that’s the same. the writing isn’t the same and the execution isn’t the same. maybe go in with low expectations and go with the vibe of just having fun and u prob would like it. 🤷♀️
A great unlimited flow and survival type novel. I love the slow burn romance between the main couple and the side couple. I also like the teamwork aspects in this novel. The main couple is very cute because they’re like inexperienced and it very funny reading their interactions with each other. The MC and ML are very cautious with the other person because they didn’t know if the other person would reject them if they were to confess. So the slow burn was burninggggg.
For me I love love loveeee the fact that this is a long novel because the authors really explain the different Card Room, the different card skills, basically I love that the author put in soooo much details in this novel.
SPOILERSSSS!!!
ALSOO my fav room that they went into was when they have to pretend that they’re husband and wife. That is also when the MC really start to question his feelings for the ML. The MC was shy the entire time. At this point the ML already knows his feelings for the MC so the ML was just taking advantage of the fact that they’re “husband and wife”, so he would called the MC his wife.
Ok, but unlimited flow is my jam. I liked almost all the plots (kinda got bored in the organ trafficking one, but not bad) and resonated some with Xiao Lou, aside from having the IQ of a boulder in comparison. I’m a sucker for intelligent characters.

Very, very long, but the secret rooms were very imaginative and creative, and I really liked the focus on found family, the team as a family, and creative use of abilities to solve problems and mysteries in the secret rooms. The romance is secondary or even tertiary, and while characters realize they like each other and even confess in the main story, Card World isn't conducive to romance, so that's all put off until the extras. The extras are full of warm fuzzy feelings for all three male couples, though, and they were really sweet and fluffy.
with over 600 chapters, I have no regrets. I thoroughly enjoyed the world-building in this book! The ending (or rather the final instance/challenge) was exceptionally satisfying.
I love infinite flow novels. Read this a while ago but here are some thoughts - games are creative asf - characters are interesting but kinda too op sometimes - last few arcs are goated - historical arc was not goated, was boring af - wish one of the relationships wasnt borderline grooming 😔 - enjoyed the ending 💖
more of a 4.5 stars but i’ll round up because i had a good time :)~!
i hope if this ever gets an official eng trans that it’ll get a thorough edit + an extra about the Long Qu couple’s wedding & all the cps coming out to the teammates, I really wish we’d gotten to see the team’s reactions :”)
sooo good. op dies and is pulled into the “card room” where various puzzles and mysteries must be solved til being gifted the ability to come back to life.. mc is a forensic scientist/professor who meets a policeman he worked w and they like each other btw >///<
