Ann Christy

Ann lives by the sea under the benevolent rule of her canine overlord and an incredibly foul-mouthed cat. A scientist and Navy officer by profession, the writing bug somehow got inside her during her travels. She's now stuck with it and can't stop writing.

She writes fully immersive works of science fiction and apocalyptic fiction. Ann is also a voracious reader, and adores a well-done audiobook. If she's not writing, then she's reading or listening.

future apocalypse suitable for YA but realistic

I read this as a stand-alone and did not feel that I was missing the first two volumes, as the references to them were well-handled. There are huge tasks for this team of survivors of being 'throwaways' of the Republic of Texas, which is unleashing biological warfare on the rest of the continent, unknown to its own citizens. Ann Christy successfully portrays the world-sized burdens placed on these teens far too soon, and the camaraderie that sustains them through it all.

Going out with a BANG!

The 3rd and final book in the Strikers series is out! This is absolutely a series I recommend!!! Ann Christy wrote a very realistic ending to this story, and I most definitely did not see it coming. It is a read for all ages, but be warned there is violence. It is the end of the world, and there is a "war" going on.
You'll fall in love with the characters, and your heart will break with theirs as you follow their story to its end.

What a journey!!! I really enjoyed this series. The world-building was amazing and realistic. The amount of thought and detail put into the various regions was really something special. I loved the cast of characters and was very thankful to not be left heartbroken by the ending.
Strikers: Outlands is a great read with a satisfying ending.

I've enjoyed this series a great deal and I'm kind of sorry to see it end. But this final book wrapped up the main story is a very satisfying way. The bad people are dealt with and the world goes on for the rest. I'm glad Ann decided not to continue the characters' stories past this ending. She developed them to where they needed to be for the conclusion of the story. They've earned the rest of their lives and the right to be left in peace.

This is a favorite series for me, one I'll be happy to reread. I've got the paperbacks, partly for the wonderful cover art, but mostly to add them to my comfort reading shelf. Highly recommended!

I am currently finishing the series, Strikers. I have been reading non stop. This is a well written series that grabs your attention and takes you on a wild, diverse ride. I discovered Ann Christy through the Wool series and apparently there are a bunch of Woolians out there (oh joy ).

MUST READ!!

This series had me enraptured from the start. I’m sad to see it end, in a way, but the ending was absolute perfection! Ann Christy is a master storyteller, make no mistake about that!

Superb

A really great dystopian series. Well written and factually correct. I love the characters and the hope the story gives.
