From Dyslexic kid with a love of Algebra to a published author, no one is more surprised to find me here, than I am. I love to write about tortured pasts and hot sex, a happily ever after that has to be worked for. My stories tend to be a little dark but with some comic relief, typically in the form of sarcasm.

Interesting addition to the series. I enjoyed the uniqueness and flow of the story. I love books that involve a bad ass heroine!

This book completely wowed me with it's unique storyline. I like the role reversal where the heroine played the dominant instead of the hero. This was totally different from the stories I've read before. The idea of a strong heroine taking control of the hero already excites me. And my excitement never slowed down from the beginning to the end. The scenes took me completely by surprise- the steamy sex and kinky times.

If you want to read something different like a freaking hot and kinky read with a dominant heroine, I highly recommend this book!

Another unique installment to the series…

I love how this series surprises me with every new read. Each story is focused on one couple (or more!) as part of an ensemble cast of characters. And these characters? Each one bold and brash, unafraid to be who they are…

This time around Danny gets his woman and Layla is everything he never knew he needed, or deserved. He’s part of his SEAL team but always the “newbie” even after two years. Layla made him feel part of something real and powerful and gave him a taste of what family really means. Is their relationship unconventional? I would say so even as the concept of mistress and slave continues to become part of the mainstream. What I know for sure is the sparks that fly between them are love in the making…

Things come to a head in a family meet girlfriend moment that make fourth of July fireworks pale in comparison and bring crystal clarity to what is really important. Another solid read in a drama-filled series that has become my new addiction…

Power is book four in the SEAL’ed series and while they can be read as a standalone you will see that while Seals take their job very seriously, outside of work is a different story when it comes to Honor, Love, Fate, Power and Faith. Each story is different and brings more “Power” (pun intended) than the last. Just when you couldn’t imagine how this duo authors were going to up the characters after our Twin Tornadoes made a landing, we get a “Vegas Quake” and it was worth the wait for Danny’s story.
Oh Mama! Dominance role reversal at it’s finest-Man it’s good to see a man fall for once. Those “Daddy” stories ain’t got nothing on this “Mama”. Danny AKA Newb since he’s the newbie of the Seal team is a lost soul. His only family is the Seal family so seeing Katie (from book one) take him under her wings is heartfelt. Man do those men give him a hard time (worse than in the prior books). Layla and Danny meet under some funny (OK not funny if damaged occurred, but it didn’t) circumstances. Layla is the “Power” of her encounters. She orders, you follow. She must fight to keep her position of “Power” in her business and based upon her past she decides she will be in control. You don’t like it, leave. From the moment these two meet there is some explosive chemistry. It won’t be easy on Danny between the way the interactions are with his team and with Layla. You feel the tragedy and broken pieces of both these characters.
Love that we got to see how this Seal family and the girls are doing and that we got to share in the wedding of Katie and Logan! (Don’t worry if you have not read the other books, you won’t feel lost!) In each book we get laughter, tears and joy (OK and the hotness moments too!) Justin’s up next in Faith and based upon the snippets we see we are gonna get the feeling of all the prior titles in this story. I cannot wait!

Power is book 4 in the phenomenal Seal'ed series and y'all better strap yourself in for the ride of your life. Open your mind, your soul and your heart for this love story because it is definitely not for the weak minded. Layla and Danny's story will push not only their personal boundaries, but the reader's as well. Remember book 2, Love? This one pushed my limits and proved that I can open my mind even farther than I ever could have imagined. Because love is love - no matter the form it comes in.

Story Line: Layla is a big wig at her family's firm. She's a total hard @$$. She has a zero effs given attitude and never apologizes. She likes to have complete and utter control over every aspect of her life. And then there's Danny. Sweet Danny. He doesn't have blood family members. His family is his SEAL family. Except there's one big hiccup with that - he doesn't feel accepted by his fellow SEAL's. Danny struggles to feel like he belongs somewhere. And when he meets Layla? Before he could even try to decipher what his brain was thinking, his body was reacting. I think the big diclaimer I will leave here is this - Layla is a Domme. Danny has never been a Sub before, but his body immediately reacts to her instructions. So the story between these two is definitely one of self discovery and pushing limits. I've never read a book where the female lead was the dominant one. I've read books where the couple are "switches" or can reverse rolls essentially. But never like this. I was apprehensive at first, but man, once I got into this book, there was no way I was going to be able to stop before I finished. I think I set a world record reading it. No, seriously. I finished in less than 2 hours. And this isn't a novella. Both of these characters make transformations, but they aren't huge changes. They both very much stray true to who they are. Layla is still a biotch, she just softens her edges slightly. And Danny definitely doesn't lose his man card. He just embraces his true identity and recognizes that he has found his other half.

Interaction: I honestly thought this would be my biggest hindrance in Power. Since she was the one in charge essentially, and he was submitting to her every whim, I didn't know how I could get my teeny, tiny brain to wrap around that. Spoiler alert, it wasn't even an issue. Their interaction and communication was seamless. There wasn't a single ounce of awkwardness. Not gonna lie, her witchiness was unsettling at times, but that's just who she is. Layla is the way she is for a reason, and although she comes across as someone who would probably intimidate the crap out of me in real life, I accepted her for who she is and I wouldn't change a single thing about her. Because you will learn, as I did, she is absolutely perfect for Danny. She's the ying to his yang, his soulmate. And I love them for the equal brokenness.

Laundry: Remember when I said to strap yourselves in? Yeah, just remember that part. Because the laundry in this book pushed even my own naughty boundaries. Things happened I never thought I would find attractive. Mental images were vividly painted. And I loved it. All of it. I want more of it. Layla is queen boss pants - and no pants for that matter. And Danny loves it. Eats it up. Literally. Just remember, this love story isn't your own. So if you're not a Domme like Layla, you have no reason to judge. Just open your heart to their love story and appreciate it for what it is. Because love is love. You don't have to understand it. You just need to respect it.

Depth: I was so freaking happy when Layla's back story was revealed. My thing with people - real or fictional - is I want to find a way to wrap my head around actions I find questionable. Layla's hard as nails communication tactics? Yeah, I needed to know just a little bit about what made her so frosty. And it as soon as I got what I wished for, I ached for her. No, not in the dirty way. But in the heartbreaking way. Layla's story is so much worse than you could imagine. She is the way she is with so much justification. She's a shattered soul. And so is Danny. Their inner demons and struggles twisted my heart in ways a book never has before. And then to realize they found the one person in the universe that could help lead them from the darkness? It was absolutely beautiful.

Y'all. This book will push you to your breaking point. But it will also leave you so freaking satisfied that you will be begging the authors for the final installment in this series. Power was a big pill to swallow, but dang am I glad I took the plunge. Layla and Danny's love story was tragic, broken and absolutely sensational.

Power is the fourth book in the Seal’ed series and is Danny aka Newb’s story. This one different addition to the series in a good way.

I have no idea who that woman is, but I damn sure will never forget her shaking the fog from my confused brain.

Danny feels lost. He feels out of place with the group. He is the newest member to the Seal team and isn’t the only one who has paired off with someone else. Danny and the crew are in Vegas for Logan and Katie’s wedding, when in the elevator Danny has an encounter with a woman and that changes everything inside of him.

Layla is a Domme. She is the CEO of her own business. She craves control in her career and in her personal life. After the elevator run in she is captivated by Danny. After almost running over Danny while he is out with his friends, she welcomes him in her car and things begin to bloom from there.

“Did I give you permission to touch me, Baby Boy?” “I want to do a whole lot more than touch you” “What you want is irrelevant.”

I am so excited to finally get Danny’s story. I enjoyed the fact that Layla was the dominant one in their relationship, it truly makes the story stand out in my eyes. The chemistry between Danny and Layla was fantastic. I love how Katie is with Danny, she truly cares for him and wants to include him. When the rest of the group kind of pushes him away, especially once Layla comes into the picture. Another fantastic, steamy addition to the series.

Power is about Layla; CEO of her family's billion dollar tech company and Danny; the navy SEAL she meets one night in Vegas. Okay, so I'm going to start with I really don't like the whole Domme/Sub genre. I'm not a huge fan to be honest when it's a Dom, but when the guy is the sub it just... idk, it's not for me. I felt the relationship moved a bit too crazy fast for my liking too, I hated how Avery was with Layla and I really didn't understand why Charlie acted how he did. It really put me off him as I thought he was more laid back than that, I mean he'd have to be to put up with Avery. LOL.

All that being said, while there were parts I really didn't like, the story part was ok and I enjoyed the previous books so I will definitely be reading the final book in the series. You certainly can't say this writing duo write the same stuff all the time, that's for sure. We've had an MF relationship, an MFF relationship, an older guy/younger woman relationship, and now a Domme/sub! What will they be signing the series off with I wonder?

This wasn't my favourite at all, but I'll give it 3 stars for the writing and the story bits.

This series has definitely forced me to read books outside of my comfort zone and this one was no different. This book was not one I would normally pick up, but the characters in this series have quickly become my favorite and so I knew I had to read Danny's story as soon as possible.

This was a quick read for me and one that added nicely to this series. Getting a story from Danny's point of view, or Newb as he is known to his Seal team, helped me see things from his perspective. Layla is a strong, fierce woman but she comes with a lot of secrets, baggage and some serious walls of her own. Danny is drawn to her from the start and makes it his mission to break through those walls even if it means going outside of his normal comfort zone to do it.

You definitely will want to read these books in order just so you get the most out of each story and if you are loving the series as much as I have been you will want to add this to your must read list as well. - By Alisa

4.5 Cranky Stars

This is the fourth book in the Seal’ed series. I read the first three and due to the graphic, violent sex, only rated them as 4.5. This one is quite different than the first three and too graphic. If you liked the “Fifty Shades of Gray” series, you’ll like this one. It is about domination so be prepared.

This book is about Danny aka Newb. He has only been with the team for two years. Everyone seems to be hooking up except him. They treat him like a little kid. He is sure they all hate him. He follows them around but feels out of place.

When the group goes to Las Vegas for Logan and Katie’s wedding, he meets a woman in the elevator. He is inexplicably drawn to her. She is beautiful and powerful and can control him with a word. Who is this woman?

Layla is a wealthy business owner. She is also a dominatrix. No man will ever take advantage of her again. When she meets Danny in the elevator, she is captivated by him. She can’t let a man affect her like that. Out on the street she almost hits him with her car and the game begins. His friends try to stop him but he gets in the car and the relationship begins.

No one likes or trusts Layla but Danny can’t live without her. She turns him into the man he needs to become and discovers a truth about herself. She needs him as much as he needs her. If you can get past the sex, this again is a good series.

Otay y'all so this was was written different than the others the female holds all the power. Layla is one fierce mistress and she wants and needs all the power. Danny has no idea what the pull is but when she commands he listens. Layla is a hot mess and has internal battles going on with her self and keeps pushing Danny away but he doesnt listen or follow directions well. When his group pushes Layla away he snaps and blows. Y'all when Layla runs he goes after her and it goes bad. These two are combustible together.

Wow! I couldn't put this book down! Strong characters keep the plot moving. Layla was so hurt she needed to be in control. I love that Danny knew how to let her be in control. Together they could grow and heal.

I like that Katie is able to love the rest of the SEAL team and their spouses. She can mother them and help them be better. She is a good leader.
This is a great addition to this series. I look forward to the next book.

I havent read any of the other books in the series but that didn't spoil this read as it is a stand alone. I also haven't read any books previously where the female character is the dominant and male submissive, I wasn't sure I was going to enjoy it especially when it all seemed to come together so quickly with a chance encounter in an elevator where Lyla addresses Danny as baby boy. Thankfully there was more substance to the book than i originally thought with an insight into Layla past and what made her the strong determined character she is now and some not so pleasant run ins with Danny's navy seal team.
Actually enjoyed the book more than I originally thought I would.

I never, ever, suggest skipping anything just so you can start the book from the first chapter. The Prologue is a shock to the system which I guess in a way is a good thing. This whole book is a shock to the system. And that’s probably because this book is so much more than any of the previous books.

Layla Torrez is a woman of surprises. And some may say just be a little bit naughty or as you get to know her very, very, naughty. Her alter ego shows she’s not a woman to mess with. Daniel “Danny” Webb just wants a really good time. He’s in for a really big surprise.

This is the darkest, hottest, tale so far in this group of books. Layla has a strong dominating personality. It takes a special person to take on that kind of strength. But there are questions that arise as to what she may be hiding. I found wanting to know more of Danny’s backstory. You can tell he’s eager to please. And when his heart gets involved he’s willing to please. The pet names may seem a little off-putting but they are just part of the character. Make no mistake that this may the type of book that you’ve never read before. You need to keep an open mind as you take on a woman like Layla. It’s a book about challenging limits – both theirs and ours.

After reading this latest in the SEAL’ed series I have to wonder where this series is going to take me next. So when I saw that a teaser was included at the end of Layla and Danny’s story it made me happy. That is until I read it. It gave me no clue as to what our authors had in store for us. Good news is that I don’t have to wait too long in order to find out.

I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.

I cannot get enough of this series! Book after book I’m surprised it just by how great they are but how different each couple is. Once again with Power, Andi and AJ have taken me out of my reading comfort zone and opened my eye to something new. I’ve never really been drawn to female Doms, thinking it just wouldn’t be my cup of tea, but with these two writing it I knew I couldn’t miss out on this book.
And here I am surprised once more by how much I loved something I never thought I would. First things first I’ll get to what I know you’re wondering, yes Power is insanely hot. Like fan yourself, get an ice cold drink, grab your man/woman/robot/whatever your preference, and hold on because Layla and Danny seriously set the pages on fire together. Beyond the intense heat with them though you have a wonderfully swoony romance with some real feels too.
Both Danny and Layla were much more than I expected. Layla is an extremely complicated woman with a need to control every aspect of her life. After a heartbreaking past she exercises that control every where with little to no emotion attachment. She made for quite the bad@#$, but with Danny those massive walls of hers crumble and you see the kindhearted woman hiding behind them. Danny is quite the opposite. Despite being a Navy Seal he seems to constantly be a bit beaten down by everyone around him. Tired of feeling like a doormat and not fitting in the instant connection he has with Layla quickly becomes the most important part of his life.
These two had quite the journey both emotional and physical to get to their HEA and it was one heck of a ride!

I truly love this series by these two talented authors, but Power just wasn't quite a 5 star for me. Layla is a tortured soul, who has faced tragedy in her life, but that's made her meaner in my opinion. And while I loved most of her bad a**ery, & even understood where a lot of it came from, when it came to Danny, I just didn't feel her as much. So my emotions were all over the place with it. I won't deny that they did have serious hotness, I just got tired of her push & pull in the way she did it. But then, I was on her side when certain secondaries really threw some low blows, and I just stayed mad most of this story. I guess, for me, I would have loved more of Danny & Layla's interactions with a longer story, because that ending was a bit too rushed for me with my extreme emotions. Anyway, I really hated saying all of that because truly this series is amazing, and I can't wait for the next book to be honest. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

"3.5 Hot Sexy Stars
This book in the series is VERY different than the others. Not different bad, just different. Layla and Danny meet while Danny is going out for Logan's birthday. Layla is into the dom/sub lifestyle and while Danny may not seem like that type, he 100% is. Per usual with these books, misunderstand ensues and causes issues. But in the end, love wins all. I really enjoyed these characters and the plot of this book. I'm glad to see others from the previous books as well in this story. These authors have a knack for writing amazing hot, sexy, crazy good scenes while still making sure the storyline is there. I'm so excited to see what they do next!!"

This is the fourth book in this awesome series, and this is a more unique and refreshing change read, as Layla, who is the main character is wealthy, strong and powerful, and is a dominatrix. Danny always seems to be the outsider, and feels unworthy of anything. When these two first meet Danny is instantly drawn to Layla, and they end up being perfect as they complement each other. No spoilers; this is a definite must read, you will not be disappointed! This is a well written flawless story, which is steamy and emotional, and I was totally captivated throughout this engaging page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented duo of authors’, and highly recommend their work for all.

Oh my goodness!!! Layla is a bada$$ CEO with a horrific past. Danny is feeling lost and not part of his SEAL family. A chance meeting in a Vegas elevator turns their whole lives around. Layla likes to be in control and Danny likes the following orders so they are a match made in heaven if only Layla will get out of her own head. I was so ecstatic that Danny finally got his own story even if he wasn’t the dominant one in the relationship as the previous SEALs. I love the chemistry between Danny and Layla. It’s sweet how Katie always includes Danny in there gatherings and how open-minded Katie is about him in Layla‘s relationship when the others dont include him. Will Layla finally let Danny in before it’s too late? I can’t wait to see what this dynamic duo has in store for us next!!!

I don't think I've ever read a book where the guy was the sub, but all in all I really like it. Tge relationship developed extremely fast, but I'm a fan if insta-love so this didn't pose a problem for me. There were a lot of emotions in the book, especially when it came to Layla's past, but it worked.
I didn't really care for the tower scene. I expected power exchange, but that just went totally left for me. I also didn't get Avery and Charlie's behavior. The little explanation given didn't make sense to me. I felt like it was just drama just to be drama.
Overall, good read and I'm definitely looking forward to the next in the series.

Some strong characters in this story. Layla had been hurt in the past and now needed the feeling of being of being control. And Danny, the sexual need that Layla craved was all new to Danny, but he found than his need was as equal to it too. And they found being together was what they both needed.
It was good to meet up with the rest of the SEAL team and their spouses. The story progresses with their help and adds a little unexpected drama.
I wonder what’s next for the series?

I have previously read the other 3 books in the Seal’ed series and have loved each one. Power is no exception and I think it may be my favorite of them all so far!

Danny is the newbie of the seal team and doesn’t always feel like the others respect him and is struggling when he meets Layla. Layla is an alpha female with a scary past that makes her struggle to accept what is happening with Danny. When they come together it is off the charts hot and a whole lot of naughty! This read will give you all the feels and make you fall in love with how even when times are tough or your past is, you can still find and trust in love! The other bonus with this series is that it is so good of a read that you are through it in no time and don’t have to wait to see what happens!

You also get to catch up with the characters from the previous 3 books in the series, Honor, Love and Fate. This book can definitely be read on its own merits but you may want to pick up the others to just get a feel for the writing and to fall in love with all the team and their mates!

This is the 4th book of a The Sealed Series and it can a be read as a total stand-alone. While there are many established characters, they are well explained as we read along.

Power features Danny aka Newb aka Baby Boy and Layla aka Mistress. They have a "meet cute" and their story continues from there. This is a story that pushes boundaries for both protagonists, each has to reach beyond what they are used to. They both must grow and change to get what they want.

This book has a very consistent time line. It is mostly told in present tense from a dual POV and, as the story unfolds, has been well plotted. I never felt lost or confused while reading it.

It has very descriptive sex scenes, very light BDSM, friendship, romance and angst.

This is a story I would absolutely recommend to my friends while telling them that I
just flipped through "those pages" hehehe

This is a very hot and steamy BDSM romance. It heavily features power exchange with the female character in charge. I did like this story. To me it had a uniqueness to it, as I have only read a few Domme books. I liked Danny. He was awkward, self-conscious and sympathetic. He never seemed to feel worthy and was always an outsider. Layla, to start was harder for me to connect with. Maybe it's just the double standard but she seemed so cold and unlikable. She really needed that connection with Danny. He smoothed out some of her rough edges and made her more personable and human. It has lots of heat but I would have loved more depth, development and emotion. I think the addition of these would have turned a good book into a great read. This is my honest and completely voluntary review.

There is someone for everyone, we're all a little different. Sometimes we don't know what we're looking for. Other times we are looking for what we need but are afraid to grab it when it is right in front of us. I really enjoyed this story and the only reason I didn't 5 star it was "Mama" ...that just didn't work for me, but that is a strictly personal thing. Layla and Danny's story was a quick but enjoyable read. Danny experiences some really eye opening facts about himself and his life and what he means to his team.
