“A robust historical fantasy showcasing the Egyptian pantheon and the strength of family.”
— Kirkus Review

In the land of Egypt, long before the Pyramid Builders, when the Gods were strong and real, the child-which-could-not-be was conceived on the Nile's fertile fields of an outcast village. Amidst enmity refreshed between Gods and men, a mother, descended from slaves, must protect her daughter from those who would destroy the unborn child and bring her daughter to the one God who can guarantee their safety.

But does this God, dark and foreboding, even care?

Koyaan is a tale that breathes life and imagination into the legends we know about Ancient Egypt. It is not a showcase of fantastical beasts and omnipotent deities, although they abound. Instead, it digs down to the very core of the Egyptian mythos, a story of brother against brother, a family of Gods in conflict with itself.
