Blade I never felt like I was a part of anything before. Most days, I still felt that way. I had enough going on with the club and the ink shop. Never felt the need to make time for anything more than a little fun. I wasn’t the kind of man that any woman needed in their life. I didn’t like to talk. Wasn't one for sharing what was on my mind. And I didn’t want to change that. I'd like to tell you that meeting her changed all of that, but it didn't. I was set in my ways and if she didn’t like it then she could get lost. Except, I couldn't get her out of my head. And whenever she was around, things never seemed to go right. I should have walked away. Should have forgotten all about her. But it was kind of hard to do when she was so close all the time. It made it worse knowing there was something she was hiding. I didn't like not knowing all the answers. So, despite what I should have done, I kept going back. Kept hanging around in the shadows watching her. Kept waiting for the day she’d realize she was mine.
Eve R. Hart has a habit of weaving stories laced thick with romance. They often bounce between awkward humor and dark themes- sometimes making a scary combination of the two. It doesn’t matter how it comes, she just wants love to win at the end of the day.
Eve lives on the coast of North Carolina with their partner in chaos, three beautifully nerdy kids, and a ridiculously sweet dog. When they need a break, you’ll find Eve lost in a book, playing board games with her family, or whipping up something crazy in the kitchen.
I have not read any of the other books in this series and I still felt like I could keep up with everyone.
This isn't as much slow burn and slow everything. Almost all of this book is in the head of both MC's and they both tiptoe around their issues, leading the reader on in typical fashion, for much, much too long. Since the characters are all up in their head and barely communicate, I felt beyond frustrated with the relationship and how it was progressing with both of their issues. It just didn't make sense to me. I didn't feel the connection and couldn't understand how Harley did either.
The first sex scene was...ridiculous but to his credit, Blade was a stand up guy about it however, I didn't buy into that scene whatsoever. Once we find out about Harley and her backstory, it was even more unrealistic. Even though we find out about her brutal backstory we find out nothing else about Harley. Not how she met her ex, if they were married, how she got into tattooing, how she met the other women, how they are all connected to Estelle... nothing about her. We don't know anything about her because Harley and Blade never talk about anything with each other except immediate needed information and even that is painful, slow and too often insufficient. It should be noted that even their backstories are not told to each other. They never confide in each other or start building that trust. Both find out through second hand information.
All those connection issues aside, I am willing to check out her writing style in books with characters that aren't socially inept and uncommunicative. These characters had to be a challenge to write but I would like to see how she does with characters that we get to know by how they communicate and interact less in their own head. I'm intrigued by the past relationship with Charming and his woman and Blade so I may look that one up. However, the clear setting up of the other woman in the group for potential stories did not intrigue me at all.
Man oh man, where to start? For one I laughed more then I thought I would in this book in the best way! Despite how you think Blades story may be blanketed constantly in dark, Harley had me laughing so much! I loved her instantly and just knew she was going to brighten Blade's world! I loved how Harley does not let dark past constantly shroud her and keep her from aspiring to achieve her dreams, I LOVED how Blade did nothing to change her but to lift her up. In his own strange grunting way, he never once stood in her way. Despite being stabbed twice. Haha their scenes her as hungry and hot as they lead up to be and I was all in! Harley slowly finding her fit with the old ladies was fantastic, I loved so much about this book and wanted just more and more! Brutal balde was worth drooling over as was demanding Harley! You are missing out if you are not jumping in on this ship!!

This was my first ever ARC so maybe I’m a little bit bias but that should not take away from this absolutely fantastic story. I’ve waited and wanted Blades story since first meeting him way back then I loved him even more in Charming’s book I loved his HEA Her writing style and flow is always on point I hope we get sketch’s story soon because I need to know you know? And the girls from the tattoo/bakery too please. I also loved the little nod to the next Gen can’t wait for that either Always deserve the five stars and more

I've read every one of these books. I fell in love early on with a character and I knew no other would take his place. Oh how wrong I was. Blade just knocked it out of the park.
Broody, non-communcative, big, bad ass.... but with a heart so big. I loved his story so much.
I was also interested in how Sketch's character is unfolding. All the new characters that seemed to pop up in the girls ship, and the fact that the kids are growing up. Exciting stuff.
Blade was a slow burn kind of read that moves into a HEA. These two are awkwardly cute together. Don’t get me wrong, they still have moments of hotness. They kept me reading until the story was over. Nothing is cuter then a big Alpha and his little princess dog. Blade was an enjoyable read. Now, I need Sketch’s story.
I mean, who hasn't wondered about Blade? The big, scary, bad-ass biker with the adorable tiny dog. Biscuit has been his baby for as long as I can remember, and he loves her to bits. This book was great. I loved Harley so much, and she was perfect for Blade and his baby. And don't even get me started on Maximus!!!!! Great book, as always.
Loved this book—❤️ this whole series. Every new book in this series becomes my favorite! Blade is the strong silent type so when he does speak, it means something...and the way he treats his “baby” will melt your heart. Starting reading it yesterday morning and didn’t stop until it was done.
Blade's story is finally here! Have been waiting for his story after reading the prologue to Charming. I was not disappointed! Harley and Blade are great together it just took Harley a little while to see it. Now I just need to get Sketch's story.
I have waited and waited for Blade's story. I was NOT disappointed at all. I loved getting inside his grumpy closed off head. If I could award more than 5 stars I would in a heartbeat.
